I don't generally say anything negative about someone's hard work, dedication, etc. But ... black!? It looked SO good until then. Everything else - great! (But... black...)
It just looks smaller and cheaper in black. But I still liked that project so much. Your boy must be so proud of your co-work... it's so important that children can be involved and feel important.
I have never seen your channel, but I'm glad that I was able to see it. I truly enjoy your project, it was great; but I must say that, I enjoyed watching you interact with your son a lot more. Maybe because my children are all grown up now. Thank you for the memories. GOD bless you all. 🙏🫵☮️❤️🩸🐑🔥🕊️
Very cute!!! And what a wonderful dad thing to do for your son! He's creating the types of memories he'll be able to draw on for the rest of his life. Bravo, Dad!!!!😊😊😊
Great little house. Having started one of the very first tiny house companies, may I share a few thoughts? If you intend to travel off property with this house, I worry that you used nails as they will work themselves loose and may not have the sheer strength for transport, especially with a single axel as they have extra bounce. Screws and glue provide the safety and strength for the structure and the siding. You didn't mention the type of fasters you used for the ceder sideing but stainless steel screws don't weep, stain and often are stronger than other options. The shingle roof may get damaged in transport, just keep an eye out. For something this small, metal may also be more cost effective for purchase, installation and longevity. Given the height and the small single axel trailer, be cautious and extra vigilant as transport can become unruly. I have seen other self builders damage and/or loose their units including units with double axels. Top heavy and narrow footprint houses love swaying and bouncing. As you mentioned weight is a concern, for extra fun on your next build borrow a scale from the home good isle and weight each piece of lumber. It may be time consuming but it either will help buffer the weight capacity or allow for flexibility/considerations on other amenities. We even did this in our commercial production to hit our target lumber weight allowance. I'll stop here. Hope this offers some pleasant insights.
I get the feeling this gentleman made this for a project to do to see if he could actually do it and he did. When he starts he shows you he's using and old wobbly trailer, so I don't think he tends to travel with it. The end with his son says it all. But If I was spending all this time and money on a project, I would learn how to do it properly.
I love that you had an idea and you went for it. I bet you learned a lot along the way. That is something my dad would have done. One time he built my brother a 2 story "fort" that looked a lot like this. Your son will have some great memories of spending time with you. You're a great dad.
Very cute but I think the outside would have looked better if you had left it a natural cedar color with black accents! It does look a little spooky being all black!! The most important thing is to enjoy it and make lots of memories!
With the exception of the insulation being put in backwards, excellent tiny house camper! You are very creative! I think it would be such a fun experience to spend the night like that! Very cool! Westin is adorable & you are an awesome dad!
I have a 4x8 trailer cabin. depending on a lot of factors, MAKE SURE your trailer is weight rated for the build and everything you plan to have in the cabin, furniture, storage, amd yourself - mine is minimalist, 1200lb, aluminum frame - NO STORAGE. Weigh everything and keep tabs on the state of the trailer frame - rust and maintenance
Hahahaha! You were looking so happy. Then, the wood frame fell. This is great. To include mistakes and a big healthy sense of humour. I bet you could expand it down the road. Beautiful work. The black outside will serve you very well for camouflaging (not sure if I spelt that right in English) and being in the woods for a day or 2 with your little man while the wife gets a break. I would have put a window on each end of the roof. In summer it is hot. You could put screens, and the heat can escape reducing condensation. Just an idea, though. 😊❤
Instead of painting it black, you could have torched the wood prior to an installation - lightly sand so you have ashes and then apply birch tar, the more the better. Let it dry after - drying it - the longer, the better. Then torch it very lightly if needed, and you have birch pitch. The wooden boards will be literally glued with it and will never mold. It is the best method to preserve anything made out of wood. We used to soak handles of outdoor tools in birch tar for months and then dry it out after rotating. Birch tar is also a great antiseptic and nontoxic, unlike lacquers, paints, or most of the wood sealants. Safe travels and happy memories !
You are a wonderful family and was interesting and teaching to see your build. I won't be able to do this myself, but I plan to buy a tiny camper van at some point. Have much fun with your creation. :)
Quick idea... Attach a ladder to a blank part of the wall near the door to make it easier to access the bed. I thought the house was so cute and your family is adorable 😍🥰
the little boy is the only one who did the marshmellow correctly! you're supposed to catch it on fire and blow it out. that black stuff is what makes the smores! :)
The thumbnail made me watch this… When my kids played My Sims, they always gave the one character a house that was always just one of the smallest blocks with a riff on it (I don’t know why they dislike Patrick so much) and that’s exactly what this looks like from the outside! 😂😂 I even showed my youngest son the thumbnail and told him what I thought it looked like and he laughed and agreed with me. 😂 Seriously though, this was really cute to watch. It was nice to see you working with your son, letting him help you, teaching him how to do these things. He’s adorable! Reminds me of when my boys were little and wanted to help with everything… I wish they felt the same now in their early 20s… Man, enjoy this phase while it lasts because it doesn’t. Next thing you know, you’ll be yelling at him to clean up that pig sty he calls a room and he’s going to roll his eyes and ignore you. And it just gets worse from there on out. Getting them to do anything as an adult is like pulling teeth… Anyway, the house looks great and I’m sure you’ll have many more camping adventures in it soon 😊
Hey, I believe the pink insulation goes against the wall and the paper facing is on the side you see (prior to the installation of the paneling.) Just a thought. One more thing ...the exterior black paint will certainly make it hot in sunny weather. It is cute however. I hope it provides lots of fun times for you and your son going camping. 😄
I'm SOOO ENJOYIN' THIS video 😅... I've stopped to say a MoMthanG 😆 You double gloved to not get insulation on your hands but, you don't have safety goggles on!!! I'm shakin' my fanger at you, sonnyboy. 🤓👇
Looks great and props to you for doing this for your family. Very innovative. You did a really great job. I am sure family will truly enoy it on your adventures.
Wow that was super sweet with your son, he will always have these memories with you. Loved the tiny house, but disappointed in the black color. Have more wonderful times camping.
Hey - I love the build process. I'm going to seem like a jerk for giving you old man's advice but.... just a little tip with that nail gun - Don't hold your other hand so close to where you're shooting the nails in (4:47). Sometimes they go in straight, but then pop out at an unexpected angle and can go right into you finger. Always hold at least 8 inches back. Stellar job though! And I watched the final vid too when you presented it. It's amazing!!!
Last time I was in the ER a young man was sitting in a chair, waiting with a nail all the way through his hand. I would have pasted out. I don’t know how long he had to wait. 😢
Awwwwww the tiny house came out so cute, but definitively your little boy is way even cuter and adorable, God bless. 🥰 PS: great job Dad, congratulations!
That video was absolutely great and inspiring! Your humor is on point, and I had a good time watching it. Keep up the amazing work! I’m seriously considering building my own tiny house now. 😊 Greetings from Germany.
I want to point out something on your insulation installation. You put the stuff in for soundproofing. Not for heat. You install paper towards you for heat and paper away for sound. Just for reference later. Figured it wouldn't hurt as much to hear it from a guy in Wisconsin that helped insulate a garage and had to be told multiple times as I was learning to install the stuff myself. Looks good. I probably would have gone with a older wood stain myself, using steel wool and vinegar to age the wood grey. Old wagon making trick for an aged look in a hurry. Some rules of thumb for plumbing, your puddies are for drains, and your tapes are for feeds. About 3-5 raps of Teflon tape tends to handle most leaky feed pipes, and those pipe clap connections, you can just about do the same to deal with it. Though that's one of those "in a pinch" fixes that most pros tend to shame a guy for using. And that roofing felt? Most pros just stapple it to plywood subroofs. Nailing it with those plastic washers is nice when you have a thicker material to go thru. But stapples leaves a smoother surface for shingles and siding to go over top of. Might be useless information after the fact, but I hope it can be useful for any future projects you might have in the works. Glad you had a good time doing something to enjoy with your son. Hopefully it leaves him with fond memories to come.
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 HOW DID U KNOW HOW TO BUILD THIS ? This was more work than i ever imagined. But it was nice to see a handsome young man and his son. Congratulations Cynthia Texas
Cute little cabin/ tiny house. Question. Why can't Weston sleep on the bench where it's softer and out of your way when getting up and down in your top bed? Also. Did you consider a flip top bench to make you a larger bed where you and your wife or Weston could sleep together? When it's out it would only take up for space. You get up, go out, fold it back over, go back inside... or you could stand on the counter again. 😄 Just asking.
Could put the shower pan in front of sink cabinet or sink it into the floor or pull it out from the cabinet like a drawer. The sink faucet can be used as the shower head. Or place the shower at the door and the showerhead from outside can be used. Sink the shower pan into the floor. Have the water empty onto the ground. Shower curtain can be pushed out the door to dry. Put a fan on the roof to extract water vapor during and after the shower. The toilet should be able to slide in and out of the house via a sliding shelf that you can make for it to sit on and pull out. The area where the toilet will be pulled inside, keep that front area of your bed open so you can sit on the toilet inside the house. Hang acurtain in front of the toilet area! Put in a vent/fan to push smells outside. So your couch will be in 3 sections! You could put the frig also under the sink. The shower pan slips under the frig. When finished, with toilet, push toilet outside and pull the couch section over that space where the toilet was used. Make room at the other end of the couch for a small frig., or put it under the sink. The baby loft could be made flat during the day and assembled at night with a safety bar to prevent him from falling out of bed. If you want to keep toilet inside under your bed, can use the box for extra water and a water heater and a heater for the house! Or could put water heater on the ceiling out of sight, on a shelf or blind as well as the heater.
O my, i havent saw you in so long, he was months old and now he is 3 years old. . I have moved twice e since i last watched. Im so going to enjoy this and btw, you two have a precious lil son. I cannot believe 3. Wow!
It's the coziest little tiny house🙌❤️❤️ Very nice! 👌 great job! 💪 Just now I was thinking it's perfect for some getaways with my dog ❤️❤️❤️🥰🥰🥰🥰 ahh I envy you in the best way🫣🙈😊
this was wholesome. it's really nice to see a dad spending time with his children and having the child help.
You broke my heart when you painted it black. The natural wood was beautiful.
I don't generally say anything negative about someone's hard work, dedication, etc. But ... black!? It looked SO good until then. Everything else - great! (But... black...)
What a sweet video. Your little boy adores you. 😊
I cried a little when he painted it black. 😂. It looked so beautiful a natural wood finish.
I don't understand the current trend of painting wood: old wood furniture, new wood tiny houses... it's a real shame.
It just looks smaller and cheaper in black. But I still liked that project so much. Your boy must be so proud of your co-work... it's so important that children can be involved and feel important.
You're a great Dad. Spending time with your son and teaching him to work with his hands. Nice job on the tiny house ! Have fun camping with your boy !
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
That’s awesome! Great build and what great Dad you are. Your little boy will have nice memories of his camping trip.
I have never seen your channel, but I'm glad that I was able to see it. I truly enjoy your project, it was great; but I must say that, I enjoyed watching you interact with your son a lot more. Maybe because my children are all grown up now. Thank you for the memories. GOD bless you all. 🙏🫵☮️❤️🩸🐑🔥🕊️

Were you involved in Tumbleweed tiny houses? I was in love with those about 22 years ago. I finally gave up my dream.
I get the feeling this gentleman made this for a project to do to see if he could actually do it and he did. Your son is adorable and This tiny house is beautiful.I just love the color.🥰😍
It's so good to see you with your son, he's adorable. This project will be great memories for him. Lovely video and Greetings from Jamaica.
This is what memories are Made Of. ❤
I enjoyed every moment, wonderful job with the mini camper & a beautiful family. Thanks for sharing!
Very cute but I think the outside would have looked better if you had left it a natural cedar color with black accents! It does look a little spooky being all black!! The most important thing is to enjoy it and make lots of memories!
Yes! 🙌🏼 agree. Plus it will absorb the heat
Not painted looked better for me. But you did it. Koodos
Yes, I thought the same thing.
I would have put Thompson’s clear water seal if I had the notion to paint the outside of it lol
Agree! A natural cedar color with black accents or even colored accents will look very beautiful!
What a fun project! Love this! What a great dad you are!
27 minutes in and this looks amazing.. can’t wait to see the finished project
With the exception of the insulation being put in backwards, excellent tiny house camper! You are very creative! I think it would be such a fun experience to spend the night like that! Very cool! Westin is adorable & you are an awesome dad!
oops! haha thank you
Who cares if it’s not perfect. Looks like great fun for you n your son. Awesome! 😊
U r so funny. By far, my favorite tiny house build. Thanks for sharing. Oh, and Weston is so dang cute. ❤❤❤❤
Amazing how you built it all by yourself. Good job.
He had help with his son,,don’t give him all the credit❤
I have a 4x8 trailer cabin. depending on a lot of factors, MAKE SURE your trailer is weight rated for the build and everything you plan to have in the cabin, furniture, storage, amd yourself - mine is minimalist, 1200lb, aluminum frame - NO STORAGE.

I so enjoy anything creative & ur son is so cute/handsome...great job.
The most anticipated video of 2024! Very cool and glad you got to experience it with your family.

No, those are the things YOU want when camping. LOL
Little guy is so cute, and so is the little house.
Your son is so bright. You are blessed.
Great job Levi and family! You inspired my wife and I do the same thing with our 5’x10’ trailer
Your links are great! One question, what did you connect your solar panels too?
they are connected to an ecoflow Delta Battery!
Thank you I understand now, God bless!
Your assistant is adorable!
Chaos! But love the positive vibes and perseverance! I love how everyone hates the black paint. I don’t love it either, but that’s okay!
Aw this is so cool. Your lil guy will cherish these memories 😊
Such a great project, but nobody could live in there more than five hours I know I couldn’t 😮
You are a wonderful family and was interesting and teaching to see your build. I won't be able to do this myself, but I plan to buy a tiny camper van at some point. Have much fun with your creation. :)

You are a great dad. I wish my 3 kids were young again, they grow up too fast.
I’m STUNNED at the beauty of the tiny home interior. I do prefer the natural woodgrain to the white paint but, either way, it is beautiful!
the little boy is the only one who did the marshmellow correctly! you're supposed to catch it on fire and blow it out. that black stuff is what makes the smores! :)
I have a toilet like that. It’s called a cassette toilet. Great job on the tiny. Very cute and cozy
Great job for your little family..
When he said "stain it black" i died a little inside... Why use such a beaultiful wood then :(
Cedar will turn gray and ugly with weather and time. So he chose what he likes.
yah same, a slightly-darker varnish would've looked so much nicer :(
You and me both beautiful wood and stain it black 😢
Great job. If you plan on transporting put some reflective tape on it to be safe.

Your Lil' Family is ADORABLE! BLESSINGS!
I've seen your other videos touring tiny Air BnBs and now I know you had some cred in doing so! Nice video.
I would of never painted it black. The natural wood was beautiful, anyway, a beautiful build, totally awesome 👍🏾
Weston is so cute!!
I'm SOOO ENJOYIN' THIS video 😅... I've stopped to say a MoMthanG 😆 You double gloved to not get insulation on your hands but, you don't have safety goggles on!!! I'm shakin' my fanger at you, sonnyboy. 🤓👇
Beautiful! God bless your talent and your family❤️
Entertaining, lucky man, cute behaved child, good vibes. Congrats.
This tiny house is SOOOOOOO neat! I love it! 😃
I can see this being great for people in between homes 😊
It was also great to see you. You make some great memories with your son and your wife. That's what matters❤❤
I wish I had a shop like that, OMGOODNESS I would be in heaven

You must have broken the world record for planning a small house.👍🏻
New subscriber here. I look forward to following your page. You have an amazing little camper for you and your son to enjoy. I love it!
Great job Dad and Weston 🚐
Love it, dad! How fun 😊
awesome build i want to see you get into that loft though it looked difficult for the kiddo to get in there :D
It was already very beautiful with natural wood colour!
There was no need for black paint.
I Totally Agree!!
I like the black. :)
I like them both :)
Maybe he wants to do stealth parking I guess?
Your son’s reaction😂💯”why?” “Oh…” I was thinking the same thing. But it turned out pretty sharp!
Awwwwww the tiny house came out so cute, but definitively your little boy is way even cuter and adorable, God bless. 🥰
PS: great job Dad, congratulations!
That video was absolutely great and inspiring! Your humor is on point, and I had a good time watching it. Keep up the amazing work! I’m seriously considering building my own tiny house now. 😊 Greetings from Germany.
Such a cool build! Great job!
Great job sir to you and Weston!
Ооооооооо!!!! Это класс!!!! Это шикарно!!! Красота!!!! Вы молодец!!! Мне понравилось!
Found you on tik tok and it lead here. love this build!
What a great dad!
Amazing 😊❤😊 job spending time your family
Great job! 💜💜 and i can't believe weston is 3!!! 🤯
Amazing ❤
Looks great.👍
I’m surprised by how functional this seems!
Very entertaining, great work ya’ll!❤
Nice and cozy
This turned out to be a really neat and cute project. You did an awesome job for your first try thanks for sharing! ❤
Awesome 👍👍
"Westons timeout spot" lol. I love his reflexes. Daddy built a wall. Run
Amazing
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
HOW DID U KNOW HOW TO BUILD THIS ?
This was more work than i ever imagined. But it was nice to see a handsome young man and his son.
Congratulations

BEAUTIFUL!
That so nice a camper for his Son to Camp n!😍😍😍😍😍😂😂😂😂😂,Or a place to put him when he's badboy!🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗 camping N the backyard..
It is adorable!❤

Great job my aunt had a play house for her kids to on wheels much bigger than this well a full sized caravan actually but nice project to do
It turned out beautiful. Great job.
O my, i havent saw you in so long, he was months old and now he is 3 years old. . I have moved twice e since i last watched. Im so going to enjoy this and btw, you two have a precious lil son. I cannot believe 3. Wow!
You are the ultimate Carpenter, very clever
Great effort and result! Was terrified you were going to paint the inside walls black. What a relief! HAHA!
I love this! ❤
It's the coziest little tiny house🙌❤️❤️ Very nice! 👌 great job! 💪 Just now I was thinking it's perfect for some getaways with my dog ❤️❤️❤️🥰🥰🥰🥰 ahh I envy you in the best way🫣🙈😊
