Simplified! Thank you for your video and showing the tool to remove linkages

2:10 I bought one of those and each time I would take a measurement when I would come back to the same measurement it would change wasting my time when I realized what was going on even though I changed the battery.
So ordered a align pitch gage which was much more expensive it haven’t arrived yet though

When building the heli, set the swashplate and linkages to be level at mid throttle \ pitch stick position. (Also make sure the swash plate is level at bottom and top throttle \ pitch stick positions too.)
Switch on the heli & radio and move the throttle \ pitch stick to mid position. Your swash plate should now be level. Now switch off the heli and radio.
Use a flybar lock tool to stop the flybar moving then adjust your pitch as required.

dont you need to make sure the heli is on a level surface and put the gauge on the heli and zero it out first???

please amend this video, or better still shoot again explaining zero degree callibration procedure. The pitch gauge is an inert device, it does not know where 0° is in relation to the heli, you need to set it manually, that is what the zero button is for. Without this initial step, any further pitch settings will be wildly innacurate. Thanks.

do you have to have the heli powered up b 4 you use the pitch gage??? and how do you know the swash plate is level???

You have to zero that pitch gauge on a level part of the heli or even the table if it is level. Otherwise it has no reference at all. All readings will be false.

    Hi,
What is the purpose of the zero button on the gauge? Do we need to zero the gauge before using it? If so, how is it done?
