Thank you! The "program on main" option had me confused.

PO track reads ESU decoder well, but for non-ESU , like NCE and Soundtraxx , it says : no locomotive on track

We've double checked this in the ESU office and it does read other brands correctly. If you are still having trouble please contact us directly and we can work with you to find your problem. support@loksound.com

Please, if I am in the club with an ESU CabControl System and my friends also with their ESU CabControl Systems, will they interfere with each other?

Does the first method also work for changing the address on accessory decoders?

I have Walthers PM 107 and 108 E-7 Diesels, with Tsunami sound factory installed. I have attempted to chag the address to the cab numbers without success !! I have also tried to change LokSound decoder addresses w/o any luck !!!!

Are you programming on the programming track or on the main to change the address? You must do this on the programming track with non-ESU decoders for now. once on the programming track follow the video starting at 1:10

Also... As these are Soundtraxx decoders they may need a programming booster. This is usually the case with most DCC systems and Tsunami decoders

I am using the programing track output from the ICU. yes, I believe will need a booster but wht about the Loksound decoder issue !!!

And where can you get the power to run the booster as there are no power outputs from the ESU system power supply except the fixed leads to the ICU. Looks like I now must buy a 15 volt DC 500 Ma power supply to provide power to the booster!!

Hi Frank, I was referring to a programming booster like the PTB 100 from Soundtraxx. This goes inline in the programming track.

I bought ESU CabControl my question is how do i use DC locomotive cause i still have some of my locomotives without decoders.

Running DC locos on a DCC system is very bad for the motors of the DC locos. Many DCC systems do not allow this for this reason. All ESU command stations prohibit this. It would be best to use a toggle between a DC power pack for running those engines and the CabControl to run the DCC equipped locos.
