    Im looking forward to see how to configure failover use of port 4 as backup, and how to manage the devices and see what resources they are able to access so as to prioritise onthe resource.

    Dear Behfor, first I will thank you for your excellent support by your videos. Now I understand how I can configure my Meraki products on cloud network. In the meantime I have bought a MX64 and a MS120-24P switch. I have configured these devices. Now I have a question. I have a server datacenter with 2 NIC-cards. May I connect one NIC-card to the MX-64 for connecting the internet for updating windows server and the other NIC-card to the MS120-24P switch for the intern network ? Or isn't it necessary and must both NIC-cards to connect to the MS120-24P switch in two different VLAN's ? And can I configure the server with static IP addresses even printers and other end-devices ?

    Is there any security concerns for using VLAN 1 for anything (mgmt or otherwise)? I know in the Cisco enterprise world, they teach VLAN 1 should never be used despite it being the default native VLAN?

    Behfor to start you will have a future problem with the calls there.
    Look carefully at the network cable you are connecting?
    The ones are practically skinny.
    Well-wired wiring is good practice to avoid connection problems.
    But otherwise good presentation thanks for the tips.

    Dear Behfor, has MX64 PoE ports to connect directly a AP without external power supply. If not is there a kind of adapter to provide PoE. We do not have power sockets where we want to assemble the AP.

    Very well explained ... thanks for video... just a quick question... can i connect MX64 directly to MR18 ?

    • @Behfor
      @Behfor  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks so much! the MR18 is a PoE Access Point and because of that it is more convenient to connect it to a PoE enabled port/device such as the MS220 8P Switch! Unfortunately the MX64 doesn't have any PoE ports and if you connect the MR18 to it you'll also need a PoE injector or a power adapter which by the way is not included in the MR18 box! So the answer is yes you can but with the help of a PoE injector or a MR18 power adapter, thanks!

    Probably a silly question but is it possibly have something like the CLI Banner MOTD or something equivalent on Meraki Switches ?

    • @Behfor
      @Behfor  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      As far as I know there is no such a thing as MOTD in Meraki! Again as far as I know MOTD was useful for CLI, Meraki however uses GUI! You can add "Notes" for each switch though if that's what you are trying to do! Thanks!

    • @Behfor

      Yes, each device needs a license as well

    hi. nice to watch ur informative videos.
    i am here to share my problem with you. Hope u ll find a solution.
    My tplink router falsely says "wan cable is unplugged".
    1. Even the cable is plugged.
    2. Another router is working properly at the same place instead.
    3.The most stunning thing is that the same router works well at another place.
    what's that?

    • @Behfor
      @Behfor  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, thanks for the question!
      Basically problems like this could be due to a bad cable, bad port, issues on the upstream device and etc
      I would start with trying different cables to rule out any cable issues.
      i can also connect a computer directly to the modem and see if the computer has internet connection, this would tell me the upstream device is fine.
      Good luck!

      thanks for ur reply.
      in fact cable is working well because i tried another router and it started working.
      Is there something to do with the data stream load on the main modem?

    It's a great video, thank you. I have a question, I see you have two VLAN's 10 y 20 for Wired and Wireless, in this configuration can you communicate a Server in VLAN 10 with a Laptop in VLAN 20? Or do you need further configuration?

    • @Behfor
      @Behfor  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! The devices on different VLANs should be able to communicate with each other unless you restrict their access in the firewall. For example in this video there is no restriction for VLAN communication (except the Guest SSID which is isolated).
      For more information please check out the following link. Thanks!
