Questão de gosto. Acho os álbuns com o McDermott incríveis, mas os dois últimos com o Damian (que canta um absurdo, vide os minutos finais de The Rubicon a partir de 30:50 ) são pra mim o ponto alto da banda até agora.
fiquei extremamente triste com a morte prematura de Mac ,mas na Inglaterra não ha tantos e grandes vozes para o prog metal,e assim como no Alice in chains não ha um substituto a altura ,mac é insubstituível é único, deixei de ouvir os novos CDs,detesto a voz desse cara ele é um porre de cantina da serra .ate o outro guitarrista saiu o cara que é canhoto.tem ai um novato..pra mim a banda fica nos antigos CDs apenas ...pra mim acabou com a morte de Mac
True... especially on the first track... no keyboard at all. Evne the keyboard solo on Ashes is hardly audible, and we hardly see Richard West ! Rockpalast used to have better recordings... and all this while Richard West is definitely one of the main composers in Threshold and his keyboards do have a lot of importance so that's a pity, really....
Der Sänger ist doch bei Arjen Lucassen Star One mit an Bord? Ich vermisse zwar den alten Sänger, klingt aber auch gut. Der Drummer beeindruckt mich aber wirklich. Aus so einem kleinen Drumkit soviel herauszuholen, beeindruckend.
OK, so why is so little screen time given to their keyboardist? He harmonizes with the guitars, sings and plays his own parts clearly leading occasionally. They need to talk to their videographer(s).
Algún empresario con cerebro que se traiga a Fates Warining y a esta bandola para Latinoamerica, ya estoy mamado de que el progresivo se reduzca a Dream Theater, Opeth y Tool. Pd: No tengo nada en contra de estas bandas de hecho me encantan, pero el progresivo tiene grandes nombres dentro de la corriente del Metal.
Fates Warning, Queensryche, Threshold, Circus Maximus, Riverside, Shadow Gallery, Anubis Gate, Vanden Plas, Pagan's Mind, Royal Hunt, y la lista no acabaría. Lastima que bandas como Dream Theater que atraen a millones de seguidores provocan que las empresas dejen de lado a estas bandas que tienen tanta calidad y que merecen ser mas reconocidas.

I think I'm the only one with this opinion: Damian Wilson is my least favourite Threshold singer. Yes, he's great, but I like the rawer, less theatrical approach of Mac and Glynn Morgan a lot more. Especially Glynn gets far too little praise.
You are correct. Damian has a very emotional and melodic tone but he lacks the power of Mac. Glynn, on the other hand, has the power of Mac while also retaining that emotional edge from the Damian era. In my opinion, Glynn is the best of both worlds and the ultimate singer that Threshold could have. He is able to perform Mac & Damian songs with ease even to this day! And on top of that, we have Glynn's performance on Psychedelicatessen which I think still stands as the strongest album vocally by this band. Glynn has this certain dynamic desperation to his voice, which both Mac & Damian lacked in my opinion. This is something which Glynn added into Threshold again on Dividing Lines - Epic album
Well, Damian was in Threshold at the very beginning and I think the first album is really great... I'm much less in love with the third one where he came back, after a break... I did like Mac's voice very much and unfortunately, their voices are quite different, but I do think the two studio albums they did with Damian during the recent years are very good.

After the rather disappoiitn g first song, I moved forward, and I think all the stuff gets better an dbetter, apart from the guitar.... a bit more keyboards (certainly not enough) and Damian's vocals sound more powerful. A detail : Mac used a *lot* of gain on his voice, and some reverb too. Richard West told me this in an interview many years ago.
my least favouritwe Threshold vocalist. Although he undeniably is great singer, he fits least to my ears. Like him much better with Lucassen for example.

Mac is sorely missed!! His voice had so many nuances!! Damian and Glynn are awesome, I love them both, although quite different!! Premier band!!
