    Thank you for the lovely comments politely explaining what may have happened to cause this. I feel incredibly guilty for not seeing him emerge soon enough - despite checking on him all evening. I thought everyone would be having a go at me, when I'm already beating myself up enough about it🥺. Nevertheless, all we can do is learn from this. I should have moved his tub into the mesh enclosure sooner. So if you currently have a chrysalis waiting to hatch out, make sure it'll be able to get up, and hang upside down to allow those wings to pump up. This is the mesh enclosure I have btw amzn.to/2SQPgWR 💕

      @@lordcactuschild9325 dubia roaches are great, and likely have a better protein to fat ratio, but it's always good to switch up feeders. This little guy has no idea how lucky he is to be in the hands of such a caring and gentle person. I believe even if you think it's on you for his wing, I feel as if he was supposed to stay with you even if it was under a misforturnate happening. Some things are just meant to be and happen in the strangest of ways. Regardless, you're giving him a fighting chance he could have never seen in the outside world. He looks like a happy little moth and I wish you the best of luck with him.

There are so many popular people who keep flaws about their pet's offscreen, but I LOVE your approach of "its nature, and things just happen." It is so true. @@justsomememingbigyoshiwith4832 3 ½ hours? That's a long time. It makes it a lot easier if you use a moist cotton-swab or give them a bath first :) I'm glad to hear it's taken care of. Hopefully it'll be a little easier next time.

    I found one of these in my bathroom this morning, I’m terrified of moths lol he couldn’t fly and didn’t no why so I’m glad I found this video as I realised he probably just hatched and can not fly yet, he was flapping his wings etc I’ve put him in the garden in the hedges so hope he survives and nothing preys upon him, must admit I was so scared moving him lol

    Okay you need to know that you need to put a stick in there when they first hatch they have to hang upside down to fully open their wings. That is why his wings did not open all the way they will stay like that permanently you only have a small window for them to open completely and they have to hang upside down when they first emerge. I'm sorry you did not know that but now you do please read this comment so you know in the future and do better for them.

      Aww yeah, like his little under the bigger one is withered and white - i don't know if that's due to it not being able to spread, or it was always going to be a bit weird.

    • @Yoachan
      @Yoachan 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@leopardgeckotalk I know that when you purchase cocoons, the breeders will keep them in the fridge. Supposedly, if left in the fridge too long, their poor wings dry in the coocoon.
