WarGame maybe it’s in their chips and the others just call him « my lord » because it’s wasn’t necessary.
WarGame Yeah, it’s cause Rex heard of the name Sidious from the talk between Ahsoka and the Council this episode, since the one who has the order to initiate Order 66 is a certain Sith Lord, Rex assumed that Sidious was this Sith Lord, since he was the one that initiated Order 66
WarGame Plus all other clones said “Yes, My Lord” in some variation.
WarGame well the chips caused them to instantly gain the knowledge of who Darth Sidious is. None of the clones called him "lord" until the chips.

Hearing that in both Hayden Christensen AND Matt Lanter's voice is just haunting. What makes Anakin's fall extra tragic, is when you see the good influence he's had on people like Ahsoka and Rex....that they're the better versions of himself....

@@Shenayakita the original Battlefront 2 story. The master who's name escapes me on Felucia. In the original cannon the clones knew the whole time what was coming. After being saved from Vietnam on steroids they felt immensely crushed that their savior was going to be killed. Luckily not by them

I nearly teared up when it turned out that Fives' death wasn't completely in vain. He saved Ahsoka's life and Rex's freedom.
Also, holy crap, they brought back R7!
Matthew Huff agreed. so glad to see that his sacrifice meant something and kept two of our favorite characters alive well past the Battle of Endor

This finale encapsulated everything I loved about Star Wars into a single episode. Truly a work of art.

seasons 1-2 were a kid's show. Seasons 3-7 are for more mature audiences. I can't stop watching this scene. I will admit, the first time I watched this scene I teared up a bit

The emotion is Rex’s eyes. To realize that he’s lost so many fellow clones and friends, he’s lost Fives, lost Echo only to find him and lose him again, to one of his closest friends finally returning to being forced unwillingly to kill her soon later. One of the most tragic stories in Star Wars. No wonder this guy has PTSD in Rebels.
In the Order 66 scene tbh you can see how much strength it took him to hold out for just long enough to actually help Ahsoka. You never see clones in any point of the war actually cry. The pain and strength it took for Rex to hold out against his chip. That’s what shook me the most.

It wasn't his fault, if you see the unfinished version of those episodes it was very different. I think someone stepped in and tried to make him change it.

I am completely shattered... lol
I got hit with emotions when Rex starting tearing up, and I joined him in tearing up as well.
The entire episode just wrecked me emotionally.

The end came through. I wasn't ready for it.
Same, for me I was on the verge of tears when Rex called her kid at the end. But I have to give it to them for the choice of music for the first half, nothing victorious, nothing even remotely happy. All playing on our anticipation and dread of THE moment we knew would come.
Also Maul asking Ahsoka to give him a "fighting chance" and then brutally wrecking the clones regardless, playing on the Vader scene in Rogue One.
There were a couple of Rogue One references like “I am one with the force and the force is with me” and bruh maul just went straight up hallway Vader on the clones

I am a 50yo man who was 7yo when I saw my very first movie in a theater---"Star Wars". I have been a loyal fan ever since. From reading the books and comics as a child, to playing the video games and seeing the prequels and sequels as an adult, Star Wars has been a big part of my life. These past few "The Clone Wars" episodes have managed to bring back the excitement I felt as a kid when I saw the original trilogy, and have pulled out the emotions I felt when seeing "Revenge Of The Sith" for the first time. Lucas and Filoni have simply done an amazing job with this animated series. And, Samuel, your arrangement of this gut-punching Williams music made me cry all over again. Simply stellar work, sir! Well done, indeed.

From a certain point of view, he didn't. He didn't kill Ashoka, so he didn't betrayed her.
He told her to "find five" which lead to her finding out about the chip and saving him so I think it's safe to say he didnt betray him

He gave her the clue about the chips before he's taken by the chip and when he's free, he turns against his brothers to protect Ahsoka. I don't think he lied to Ezra and Kanan in Rebels.

Henning everyone thinks that for some reason. The song is “I’m so sorry”. It’s a different rendition of it. Dark deeds play when he’s slaughtering the separatists. I’m so sorry plays when anakin is sadly looking at the Mustafar sun.

The tension was building up in this episode to a point where it felt so organic and it exploded at the Rex scene. Great emotion and drama in these last episodes, something the big screen late trilogy missed. Love your arrangements btw!

Name a bigger master mind than Sidious. He literally orchestrated Anakin's journey, the entire Clone Wars, his own rise, and the rise of the First Order and Final Order.
Stefan Dakovski Sōsuke Aizen from Bleach is a wild mastermind... but Sidious is still darn impressive
I mean maybe Sauron from the Lord of the Rings/Hobbit, but I'm not too sure if he cracked Sidious
Except he didn't completely plan this. Darth Plagueis sowed the seeds - initiating the clone army by means of back-door funding. Sidious was only carrying on his master's plans, but had to kill his master to cover up the fact and make it seem like he was the one who started it all. First Order and Final Order is likely Sidious' own machinations, but the extended content shows that Exegol as a Sith haven was around long before Sidious was ever born.
Actually, in Legends, this was planned even 1000 years before TCW. Darth Bane gave the idea. The other siths up to Plagueis's master perfected the plan. Plagueis and Sidious executed the plan. Plagueis created the clones, Sidious told them to execute the order.

When Rex said "Us clones have mixed feelings about the war" I got BF 2 flashbacks...
I knew what was coming in the episode, but the horror-themed change of events in episodes 11-12 really spooked me. Ashoka and Rex, hiding from people who want them dead, the awesome score, the choreography, it’s crazy. Thank you, Dave Filoni, for creating such an awesome, nostalgic Star Wars TV show meant for kids but made adults cry (imagine kids watching episodes 11 and 12 and how scared they’d be)
It really hit me when the music kicked in and seeing Ahsoka fighting for her life, this final season has been nothing short of amazing.
This orchastation is making me cry , there is only 1 more episode of the clone wars .

I didn't cry when I watched episode 11 for the first time, or the second, or third. But then I come here and you hit us with a little sprinkling of the clone theme at the end there and I lost it. Couldn't stop for 5 minutes. Just knowing that each clone is screaming on the inside but can't do anything.... man you got a new subscriber.

This music hit me so hard when I first heard it now I just listen to it over and over again. I can’t get it out of my head...
We all knew this day would come. We all knew this episode would drop. And we all knew what the score was and where the pieces on the board were.
The heart-break still hurts all the same.
When you see an adult male cry for 7 minutes with his two sons, you know that this moment was absolutely sad, but amazing.
This theme hits so hard in the first bit. It hits the feels. My boys, they killed my boys. Its crazy that this was a kids show. And it ends with the main good guys turning and betraying the other good guys. Like i know we should have all seen it coming, but i never imagined it would have been this emotional.
How is it possible that this the most hyped I've ever been for Clone Wars, but I was tearing while watching the episode?
There is so much to the Order 66 scene. When Ahsoka and Rex salute, it's almost like the fans saying goodbye to how everything was. Also, I love that the music kicks in right when Rex fires at Ahsoka, signaling further that this is the start of something new.

God this theme messes me up every single time. Poor Rex trying desperately to fight off his conditioning; Ahsoka, knowing something terrible has happened but not knowing why her men are attacking here, only trying to survive with the knowledge that Anakin had done something truly terrible which meant she'd have to kill her own troops to escape, and wanting to try and save Rex despite him trying to execute her. UGH my heart. Amazing as always.
The fact that she managed to defend herself better than literally the entire Jedi council shows the kind of state the Jedi was in.
It's sad, we knew it was coming but we never thought it would be like this. Not to mention Rex executed Order 66 but finally got saved by Ahsoka. I'm not ready for the finale this monday.

I got so many chills from this scene.
Like most of us I grew up with the first SWTCW movie in 2008 when I was around 5, that was my first introduction to Star Wars. Of course throughout the years I learned more about star wars, about the originals, other lore, etc. When I first saw ROTS and Order 66 eas executed I was in shock, I felt dread, sadness and anger. I eventually connected the dots that the clones I grew up loving in the cartoon would eventually do these horrible things, so continuing with the cartoon until it's eventual end with season 6, every victory, every battle won by the republic, in the back of my mine I knew it was a false happiness. When this season came out and Order 66 got executed, the music, the characters, that dread I felt years before came back stronger. Something about seeing and hearing it in TCW style hurt me more than the movies ever did. This season eventually connected the circle I wanted to see complete but also never wanted to end.
Yep, agree. I grew up with the originals (Dad used to tell me the stories when I was 4 before I even watched them.) Then the prequels, novels, etc. Then TCW. I recently finished it, and I can't even begin to describe how it affected me. Everything I felt as a kid came back 10x stronger, probably since I'm an adult now and I can actually feel the pain of what they went through. The last two episodes made me feel heartbroken in a way I have only felt a couple of times from real life tragedies. I started crying like a baby when Ahsoka said all she'd ever been was a soldier, (I'm a vet) and didn't stop until the end of episode 12. I want to see it again but I don't know if I can bring myself to. Unbelievably amazing.
