Another hit from Magic Square!! It would've been nice if they gave him that transparent box that the show used to make him disappear and maybe a few turbo foxes to hunt down. Just three more car bots to go before the 84 Autobots are done. Wheeljack (I'm really hoping he's next cause we NEEED a new legend scaled Wheeljack to go with Ratchet). and update Sideswipe and Sunstreaker. Great video!!
It's weird. Those tiny, thin pieces should look scary to move around and tab into place. But it looks like the materials make it feel pleasant enough instead. I'm expecting Ken to arrive this week, so I'm looking forward to seeing how MS materials feel for myself and if I decide I need all their figures. Because again; they just look so darn cute and fun to mess with. It's weird that this guy doesn't come with many accessories, but I guess that just means less baggies are necessary.
The material is where MS makes it's magic. The nylon is extremely tough, he can get away with super thin parts and without having to worry about it breaking. I even had trouble getting rid of some of the mold flashes that occasionally come with the toys. You have to use very sharp knifes to cut them, normal scissors won't cut, and they don't break off even if you bend them 180 degrees and they won't tear. In my experience the MS toys are some of the toughest transformers I own, I never for once felt worried at breaking anything. Another advantage of the material is that the joins doesn't go lose. Due to the softness of nylon it behaves more like rubber and thus does not shave when rubbed repeatedly against the steel pins like ABS does. So these joints last almost forever even with constant playing. It is not possible to copy MS designs using ABS which is most other manufacturers use, unless they massively up scale it to MP size.
@@tonglianheng Definitely, to all of this. Since I posted that first comment, I've gotten myself a fair few of MS's figures and the only one that's gotten loose over time is Megatron, probably due to the version I got being fully painted so it chipped at the joints. And, as of now, I'm waiting on an order for their Blastoff, Jetfire, and Trailbreaker. Blastoff to finish their Bruticus, and Jetfire and Trailbreaker because they just look like a ton of fun. I don't have their Mirage as I lost interest in it, and I'm unsure about getting the fully painted version because I worry about how that affects the transformation, but I love how sturdy these figures feel when moving bits around. Even with crazy transformations I have an easier first time transforming them than most other figures, be they official or New Age or whatever.

People don't seem to appreciate the nylon plastic. From what I understand, this plastic is soft and bendable, but extremely durable. So you don't have to be afraid of breaking anything even if you bend it. I think this type of plastic also has use for bigger figures too. Like they can use it to make pointy and thin parts more durable or make accessories lighter so they won't weigh the figure down. Being heavy isn't always a positive. Seems like a few of MS's figures have limited backward movement with the thighs. The limited backwards movement is a tad disappointing in an otherwise excellent figure. The lack of flaws makes this more jarring. Also, if you ever talk to Magic Square, please tell them we want Legends scale Beast Wars figure. They would go perfectly with our MP G1 figures.
Yeah, the material, some hate it, some don't mind, and some love it. The back kick is a sacrifice for the front kick and integrated skirt, I guess it will stay like this until they find some new solutions to offer better articulation. @@OptimusLegends You talk to them!? Please tell them we want their Light of Victory in MP scale!!! TE-01 looks good, but has a bad transformation and limited articulation.
