When I was younger, I would always say to myself: "If I ever was turned into one of my toys, I'd want to be my Optimus Prime figure". This figure is so cool! It's everything I could ever want in a transformer! If I were to be magically turned into a toy, this would be my figure of choice.
I guess we have all done it, mimicking how Optimus Prime transforms in the cartoon by tucking our arms around the waist, and people like us do that all the time in cosplay shows.
I saw many other people having a hard time connecting his trailer to the semi. So here's an attempt to describe how to make the process much easier: -Have the blue circular trailer connect on the trailer, then rotate it upside down where the tabs align with the semi's flatbed tab slots. -Flip one side of the blue flatbed's flap rightside up where the slot is now facing outward. This gives you a better angle to see the slot from the side. -Connect the trailer's tab into that one part of the flatbed you rotated outward. -Flatten that flap back down onto the flatbed while its still attached to the trailer. -Now, since one side of the flatbed is firmly connected to the trailer, it is much easier to tab in the other side of the flatbed to the trailer since they are somewhat more aligned now. Just gotta give it a good push while applying upward pressure from the bottom of the semi bed. Even if you can't get the other side tabbed, the initial side you tabbed should be enough to provide a connection strong enough to have the semi pull the trailer around. Hope this helps. (By the way, love your cinematic, well-produced videos, Optimus Legends.)
i've been crushing on this figure for a while. hands down the best g1 style optimus i've ever witnessed. I admit i do prefer other optimus prime figures too, such as mp-10 and primorion, but if we're going by accuracy, ms-b46 takes the win home any day for me. if they upscaled it to be MP scale, i'd buy it in a heartbeat (if the price is no more than $300)
Can't agree more. B46 really nailed it, and Magic Square taking inspiration from previous Optimus figures and making incremental progress on top of proven designs is a good move. Limited fake parts, perfect sculpt, I think every fan would want a MP version of it.
Use a hair dryer to get the pieces off that you want replaced for the other spare pieces, that or hot water, it will usually allow separation of parts without breaking them
absolutely love this Prime, one of the best g1 Prime figures out there right now, with some incredible articulation. Now waiting on the clear window version and metallic repaint. I have both the Magic Square and Newage Megatron, and MP engineering at legends scale is right… it’s just not necessarily a complement, because the Magic Square is just a royal pain to transform. Yes the engineering is impressive, and I think the MS look more complete and filled-in in both modes, but after playing with it I don’t think MP-level engineering is what I even WANT in a Legends figure, because it basically just ensures I’ll never actually transform them, whereas I quite like transforming my Newage figures due to their effective yet simple transformations.

WOW! MAM ALIVE! I have NEVER seen one was as good as this one. And I actually wouldn't mind having one these since my Seige series one came with a defect with the left shoulder ball and socket joint assembly being placed in upside down witch causes serious stress on the entire arm. And this looks to be about the exact same scale. I'm definitely going to have to keep my optics open for this one.
Hi Tyler, glad you liked the video. This Optimus is about 4.5 inches / 11.5 cm tall, much shorter than Siege Prime, they are of different scales. But it's a good Prime, the fixed version comes out in June, good luck!
Perspective End was the only guy I heard praise this mold for a while (or the shared-engineering-MP-scale one, at least) Why has this gone under the radar for so long?
Dang ?! Magic square and Newage are ABSOLUTELY KILLING IT !!! Their mini lines are very very awesome ! Great looking in both forms ! As a matter of fact they both beat out tacara and hasbro by a fare margin ( and I mean in ANY of tacara or hasbro's lines including masterpiece) better in all these ways- Looks both as a vehicle and robot. Better transformations. Far better robot action figure articulation! Far better price. Better accessories. Better scale within their universe/product line. They brought me back to transformers. They made it fun again.
This figure looks so amazing 🤩! I want one! On the downside, The altmode trailer has that picket fence at the bottom still. When was that ever shown in our youth? That’s not Cartoon or toy accurate.
Magic Square will fix the repairing bay and re-release it soon, I recommend to have the complete version. The fence was introduced by MP 10, and it became part of the deal ever since, they are removable, will leave a peg hole though, didn't mention in the video.
@@OptimusLegends Oh yeah I know about it . I’ve been a critic of that since then. But you know how everyone is trying to be such a stickler for toon accuracy. I've never really looked into 3rd-party legends figures. I've yet to dip my toes into 3rd party in general, but I found out ShowZ has cheap shipping to Ireland and... this is very dangerous for me. Oh no. That said, I heard negative things about MS's plastic. But watching you transform it just looked so... comfy, I guess you could say? Like the way things plugged in during transformation almost seemed therapeutic. And I'm glad you talked about the fun factor of the figure as a transforming toy, because it seems like most reviews of 3rd party figures I find purely talk about aesthetics and not fun factor! I thought it mightn't be fun to transform something so complex at that size, but I may be mistaken there XD
Me either, well, before this Prime. I just blindly collect MPs until the price went crazy, and also, there were less MPs being released. And that's when I found MSToys, their earlier products were not good, not until Hound in my opinion, and it is a very different experience collecting these tiny transformers.
@@OptimusLegends So just as an update; I got this figure yesterday and. Uh. Yeah. This transformation's gonna take a *while* to master. The sliders the front wheels are on are a bit too tight, but I still think it's a fun process! Also, the gun blast effect doubles as a slender, yet convincing, energy sword. I love accidental play features!
Thank you, Noel! For the setup, I am using Sony a6300, and switching between two prime lenses. 50mm for the figure shot and photos, 35mm macro for the details. Video is only 1080p though.

Are the autobot decals on his shoulder and trailer included? All of the company photos don’t show it, and the ones I’ve seen on Instagram are 50/50 with and without. Thanks! Great review; I just dipped my toe into the waters and ordered one because of you!
now i just ordered the version of MS-B46E i have seens many videos and i think is better than the legends version of NewAge, the only issue maybe is the part os the accesories, another par of hands can be the difference, hope i get the same good feeling i got with my Grimlock of newage :)
I don’t get the stripe on the truck. It’s not like they had to put it there, and it would spare us the stripe on the back of the arms in robot mode. I usually don’t mind the stripe on the truck, I just wish it could’ve been a chrome or silver strip as opposed to a flat grey color

Thank you John, so great to have you!
Will do my best creating more and better videos!
WOW!
Perspective End was the only guy I heard praise this mold for a while (or the shared-engineering-MP-scale one, at least)
Why has this gone under the radar for so long?
I guess everyone is still waiting for the fixed version to come out.
Dang ?! Magic square and Newage are ABSOLUTELY KILLING IT !!! Their mini lines are very very awesome ! Great looking in both forms ! As a matter of fact they both beat out tacara and hasbro by a fare margin ( and I mean in ANY of tacara or hasbro's lines including masterpiece) better in all these ways-
Looks both as a vehicle and robot.
Better transformations.
Far better robot action figure articulation!
Far better price.
Better accessories.
Better scale within their universe/product line.
They brought me back to transformers. They made it fun again.
This figure looks so amazing 🤩! I want one!
On the downside,
The altmode trailer has that picket fence at the bottom still.
It just kind of came out of nowhere and continues to be duplicated. Oh well, you can’t win’em all. Great review btw. Keep up the good work and style👍🏾
@@theafroalien3169 Thanks, man! I guess sometimes you have to let it pass and take it easy.
Great review, but it would have been better to have seen the side-by-side comparison between this and the previous Legends-scale MS Optimus Prime.
I love the transformation of this figure
Man would of been great to compare it with newage David. I love your vids
Thanks!!
I haven't ordered David yet, will try to get one soon!
@@OptimusLegends you are the best!!!
@@angryangel No problem! Want to see David myself for quite some time!
@@OptimusLegends can't wait for your review
this is amazing work! I have a small Optimus Prime figure from the worlds smallest, but nothing near this complex!
this is genuinely so much better than the studio series one
This is the first video I've seen on this channel and I love your review style - this doesn't feel like a typical TF channel, and i very much mean that in a good way! Subscribed! Thanks mate.
Really glad you enjoyed the video, welcome to the club, Ben!
Near perfection! My only complaint is the lack of blue stripes on the trailer.
There's 3rd party decal for the blue stripes.
tiny opttimuuusss looks so fun to handle....defs gonna try to get him at some point
They finally upscaled it to MP scale.
Got
I have this figure and GOODNESS GRACIOUS I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS FIGURE!!!
Great Transformation. So much to do, very impressive!!✨😲✨
Thank you! 🤗
Great figure with good transformation design, pure joy!
theres just something about high quality mini transformers with lots of articulation is jist unexplainable. i love them too much!
Hope you get your copy soon, and enjoy!
@@OptimusLegends theyre too expensive :(
@@ShinZprime Yeah... a pricy one.
They just revealed the Nemesis Prime re color of this mold too! I can’t wait for my long awaited pocket figure to come too
Hope yours arrives soon! Enjoy!
Great video!!
Thanks Alan!
I would love for you to release this larger size figure, this figure is perfect.
Yeah, it would be nice, isn't it. Let's hope Magic Square has a plan for that.
yeah, just like what they did with the first one
Geeze, if every legends scaled figures was like this, I would probably swap my MP collection for these. 😳
Thinking about the same thing, and researched some MSToy's previous releases, not all of them are as good though. Still have room to improve.
Hey, I like your choice of music 🎶 it's so catchy, it makes me want to get up and 💃 dance!! Awesome!!👍 👍 🎶 🎶 :)😊
Optimus Prime is my favorite action figure and movie character.
Welcome to the club.
i love how this 2022 version has improved from 2019 toys
I missed the 2019 version, but luckily caught up in time and this new one is my favorite.
I honestly still want light of freedom, but this makes me want to get into legends scale figures. (Still would prefer light of freedom)
I got into legend scale figures more seriously because of this one.
Imagine this same mold but oversized to MP scale. It will give MP-44 and TE-01 a run for their money.
Not sure if MSToy will upscale this design themselves, maybe depend on the sales of this legend figure.
I would love for them to do it, I hope so
Hey quick question, which human figure of spike/sparkplug do you use??
JobbyTheHong: *Sweats on wallet*
Just received mine today! Best birthday present ever! Thanks for the review!
Happy birthday, Kevin!
The paint part is actually a good part so it doesn’t get scratched and noticeable
What's the minicon you used for size comparison at 2:46 ?
I really hope we get more repaints of these mold, because the full set is a bit out of my budget.
The fixed full set is coming out next month, and then there might be some other repaint I guess.
An Optimus Prime this small is going to make the smaller Autobots like Bumblebee and Cliffjumper look big next to him
Magic Square has released their version of Bumblebee and Cliffjumper and they scale perfectly with v2 Prime.
@@barbahuub I just wanted to see Bumblebee and Cliffjumper look huge next to Optimus Prime for once🤣
Excellent review.
What I wish to know is what camera did you use to make this video?
The focus and clarity is as good as the figure itself.
Thank you, Noel!
For the setup, I am using Sony a6300, and switching between two prime lenses. 50mm for the figure shot and photos, 35mm macro for the details. Video is only 1080p though.
@@OptimusLegends
Thank you for sharing.
I really love the clarity of the video even at 1080p.
I could well be looking at getting your setup for my future use.
@@NoelLee89 No problem, Noel. Although a6300 ages really well, I would recommend to look into the newer version, with better 4K capabilities and auto focus features. The video clarity comes mainly from good prime lenses, highly recommend.
Just awesome, like totally for sure this is.
My favorite 2 transformers is and will always be Optimus prime and sound wave.
Even though sound wave is a decepticon, he still is a cool character
Welcome to the club, Shawn!
@@OptimusLegends
Thank you very much
Great review. Keep it up!
Much appreciated, Joseph!
Are the autobot decals on his shoulder and trailer included? All of the company photos don’t show it, and the ones I’ve seen on Instagram are 50/50 with and without. Thanks! Great review; I just dipped my toe into the waters and ordered one because of you!
No, it is a separate piece, I had a review about the stickers here th-cam.com/video/Ugsav_xJwVg/w-d-xo.html.
And hope you are enjoying the journey!
This figure needs a overzise to fit with masterpiece transformers because the figure looks and engendering is amazing and very simple
That doesn't cost 500 £/$
The Megatron in this video that you showed along with Prime, please do a review on it too as you did with this figure.
Hi Jessie, thanks for the advice, will try to put it in my schedule.
OK, you caught me offguard with the wagglehead. :D
"Its the Small Tings That Matter" - Someone very smart
At this small of a scale, and it manages to look better than MP44 in almost every conceivable capacity. How.
It's a 2.0 update, it took them some time to get here.
now i just ordered the version of MS-B46E i have seens many videos and i think is better than the legends version of NewAge, the only issue maybe is the part os the accesories, another par of hands can be the difference, hope i get the same good feeling i got with my Grimlock of newage :)
Great review. Where did you get the Autobot insignia from?
9:50 What's the other figure next to it?
Glad I found your channel!!!
Thanks! It's GREAT to have you here, welcome! :)
Great video. What aftermarket autobot insignia are you using?
Got them from Hasbro, will do a quick review about them soon.
Imagine an oversize of this model, it would be great
Many fans share the same thought, hope they MS could really scale it up!
wish has been granted
@@unknownguy2051 wow, i never expected it, where can i find it?
I don’t get the stripe on the truck. It’s not like they had to put it there, and it would spare us the stripe on the back of the arms in robot mode. I usually don’t mind the stripe on the truck, I just wish it could’ve been a chrome or silver strip as opposed to a flat grey color
I definitely have to get the version of this guy that comes with the Repair Bay. It's just... prime.😍
Also, solid review, keep up the good work.👍
Thanks!!
I heard the fixed version comes out in June, a bit of wait, but totally worth it.
Interesting. I've heard that it comes out this month. Oh well, I can wait a few months more. I just hope that it won't be sold out like the one without the Repair Station.😬
@@oliversoos7131 The black version just got announced, limited accessories, simpler packaging.
This is unbelievable......wow :O !
NewAge and Magic Square are the only good options with regards to Legendary scales. ❤
Woow jobbythehong would love this kinda 3rd party figure
Next to that Ark and Metroplex? Woah boy.
Technically they don't really scale that well with legend Scale Optimus, but when put together, it's still very satisfying.
I LIKE THE TRANSFORMERS
I really love magic squares transformers figures they're great I'd highly recommend them if you're thinking about buying one of their figures
This would scale perfectly with the Ark
These tiny bots look amazing around the Ark.
Wow this is amazing. Looks better than the masterpiece.
Very true, faithful cartoon representation.
I dont need it... i dont need it.... I NEEED ITTTT!
