It's ridiculous to compare a self-taught drummer who learned on NWOBHM and hardcore punk and who'd only been playing for 2 or so years before recording on his band's first album (an album that created and influenced an entire metal subgenre, btw) to super-technical schooled prog metal drummers and new school extreme metal drummers. Brilliant performance 💪🏼 love that simple but ferocious riff! But.. have they added double bass to the mix? Haven’t heard Lars nail the db like that for some years 😅
One of my favourite songs of theirs. The riffage is primitive and simple but so effective. I lost it after St Anger but it's great to see them at the top of their game. Everybody delivers, Lars included - his double bass drumming is tight here. And there are lots of nice details - bass sound and Rob's Tee, and James's white flying V which seems to be a perfect match for this badass song.

I think Kirk needs to put out another solo album and put some live tracks with intense blues-type playing like he did with Mic Fleetwood and friends when he played the Green Manalishi. Extreme Kitkitude has now been requested out in the open.
