“Forgiveness is losing the desire to have had a better past”.
This resonates with me. I kept going back and listening to that quote, I wrote it down to keep in front of me. What a profound truth that I need to apply daily. Thank you ❤.

Normally I can listen to your podcast while walking around the house or outside, doing things - the usual multi tasking that keeps many of us feeling simultaneously productive and overwhelmed. This podcast stopped me in my tracks. I could do nothing else but sit on the edge of the bed and listen, tears streaking my face. Being with... this concepts will stick with me - I hope for a very long time. Thank you to Rev Wells, you and all that made these stories come alive and into my home, my heart this morning.

As a mental health therapist with my own journey and difficult past, this podcast has touched my heart, soul and mind to be able to hold the space and "be with" those I sit with in a new way...Thank you, Rev. Wells and Kate for bringing this to us...

"the fire of hope" is a beautiful phrase that sticks with me. I also deeply resonated with the idea of not focusing on a successful or happy or perfect life but a beautiful one. I needed those words.

Sounds like Sam's friend maybe has ME/CFS illness. This is what I have and am largely housebound in my 20s. This podcast really spoke to me. Strange how you can be given or find hope in the face of the worst of circumstances - a hope that doesn't say 'it will all get better' etc. But it's still hope.

Is there a transcript of the piece Sam read about hope?

Absolutely beautiful. This is what my heart needed as I was looking at our political landscape this morning and feeling scared for the future. Hope is a fire.❤
