Luke is a phenom. He is still very young and is already dominating the scene in a big way. But lets not forget the guy who recorded the real track. Valentino Arteaga. He is also great.

Yall keep talking about too many stick tricks. Its TH-cam you came here to WATCH him play. He puts on a show and he plays the music solid. The tricks are to keep you interested amd make it fun to watch. He succeeds at doing that.

+Trey Lorenzini one of the "more basic fills", it is just RL-Hands, RL-Feet or, if you want to make it look sick, Rr-Hand, Rr-Foot (double strokes)

jeeeeezzzus dude, ive been through so many drum covers throughout youtube and yours is by faaaaaaaaaar the cleanest and most precise ive yet seen and to a brrrriliiant song, and nice little improve at the breakdown. a definite like and subscription. wish i could like it more than once

Being very quick and perfecting your stick tricks will help you in playing the fills at their iChat time .
Kinda late on replying to this, but stick tricks actually help with timing. He probably does them out of habit so his timing is on. I do that my self without even noticing

I mean no offence to Luke, he's an amazing drummer! But it always annoys me how a lot of people only give a fuck about stick tricks. You know they be like 0:50 OMG OMG OMG, while it's actually a very basic pattern and not played very tight either...
and I bet you can do better and have this many fans and tour with a band from your TH-cam videos?!?! do that first then you're allowed to say something. *know your place

I'm not saying I can do better, my point i tried to make with my comment, was that he should have only done cool stick tricks if he still plays tight. And that's mostly the case, but sometimes he fucks up a little bit. I know my place.

I'm not saying I'm a better drummer at all because that's stupid, but if you look at my videos you might be able to tell why I criticize good drumcovers like this.

True story: I went to see Kickass 2. I saw this guy that looked like Luke. Walked up and asked him knowing for sure that it was him "hey are you Luke Holland?". He said yes and I expressed to him how much of a fkn badass he was and how much I love this guy. Keep it going man! I will support you forever!
You're right, it's not about how complicated and technical you can make the fill, its about how it sounds and flows with the song, that's the most rewarding drum fill :)
