Hi! Yes you can! Just pop it out of the mold, make sure the top edges are even (if not, trim with sharp scissors), then place on your Doming Tray and add that domed layer. This is the technique we'll be featuring in the next video :) Thanks for asking! - Fran
@ihsan2011 Hello again! No, I use Little WIndows Special Photo Paper for my pics, which is waterproof, bright white, and perfect for inkjet. I haven't needed to seal papers or fabrics with our brilliant resin, as it's so very gentle :) I think you'll love it!
Hello Gatafierrrra, thanks for the feedback! You can use any drill you happen to have when drilling your Little Windows. At little-windows..com you'll see a mini hand drill, and a super-comfy, lightweight power drill, that comes with a set of 5 drill bits sized for craft projects (itty-bitty up to button-hole size). You can also use any power drill you happen to have, as long as you have a little drill bit (1mm or so for jewelry), and the drill spins straight you're good to go! Have fun :)
Hello Donise! In case you haven't received an answer to this query yet, Little Windows Brilliant Resin is much safer than those you'll find at a craft, hobby or hardware store, and it's not stinky so you'll have lots more fun! You'll find everything you need at little-windows..com Thanks for asking :)
Hi Eric! Not if you use our Little Windows Special photo papers - they're waterproof, and bond permanently to your inkjet inks. If you're using regular photo papers, you'll have to experiment a bit to see how porous they are. Cut a piece and put it in water for 15-20 minutes. If it's not bleeding or running, there's a good chance it'll be OK in the resin. If it does bleed or run, you'll need to seal it with something like ModPodge. Hope that helps :)
Hello! They're pretty durable, I've had one on my cell phone case for 2 years and it still looks great, and we make a lot of keychains, but it won't hold up to hard abrasion, and it can be gauged by something pointy. I'd say they're perfect for everyday use and decoration. Have fun!
@Bustinski09 Hello! Sorry for the delay, got a bit tangled :) We have Little Windows brilliant resin sets from 1.5oz up to 12oz at little-windows(dot)com, if you need larger please email me fran@little-windows(dot)com, for designer sizes and pricing. Thanks for asking!
Hi sexyshedevil13, so sorry for the delayed reply, I missed your post. It depends on what the molds are made of, if they're thin brittle plastic (like the lollipop molds), the resin can stick in them permanently. If they're silicone they should work, but can come out with a foggy surface. Our molds are polished to a mirror finish so you don't need mold release, and they'll reflect whatever you put in the resin up and around the edges. We've got new heart shapes launching this month too :)
You can do either one. You can paint between clear layers too, rather than painting all on one finished layer, for more of a 3D effect. So pour the nose (for example) in clear, let it set, then paint the back - this would be the part facing up in the mold (acrylics recommended), let that paint dry, then add more clear resin, and paint the color you want on that dry layer. I hope I'm explaining this the right way :) Let me know how your creations turn out!
@TheLennypops Hello! Yes, we can certainly ship to you, just have a look around little-windows(dot)com, check out our Project Center for even more great ideas, then email me a list of what you'd like and I'll be happy to send you shipping options :) Thanks for asking!
Hello Jamie Lynne! When you use molds the resin creeps up the sides a bit, causing the raised lip on the top/front of your casting. This edge projects reflections of whatever you put into the resin up and around the sides, and provides some protection. If it's not smooth, you can either trim it off with sharp scissors (faster and cleaner than wet-sanding), or trim it so it's even, then Dome it Up (see our other video). Hope that helps :) fran@little-windows..com
Why thank you PARHARIDOU! It's so much fun because the possibilities of design and materials you can put into the Little Windows Brilliant Resin are really unlimited :) Check out more ideas and new products at little-windows..com (one dot)
Hi! Could be the nail polish (which may also yellow over time), it could also be the paper/s, what kind of paper are you using and what are you layering? And finally are you using Little Windows Brilliant Resin? I can be much more helpful once I know these factors :) Thanks for asking, pics are always welcome to fran@little-windows. com
Hello 69midnightdream69! Have you tried Little Windows brilliant resin and mirror-finish molds? If not, I think you'll love how well they work for these sorts of projects. Some resins are made for larger-scale use and can't set up well in small pieces, with LW resin you need only mix a tablespoon for great results :) Hope that helps !
Bonjour muriel! we can ship anywhere in the world, just email me a list of the items you'd like to order to fran@little-windows(dot)com and I will be happy to send you quotes for your shipping options. Thank you for asking!
You have a great voice for instructing! I know it sounds weird but I really liked listening to your tutorial because it didn't fall into the typical "story-telling" cadence & tones that so irk me about reality TV and documentaries. Thanks for making this great vid!
hello I enjoyed the article, want to try it, but can you please tell me how and when will you make the holes to thread the chain or embed a ring to thread the chain. Thank you
Hello Nada, I'm not sure you got the previous post, but you'll make holes by drilling your pieces after they've set up, so a minimum of 12 hours after pouring - but even up to a year later you can drill and mount your pieces. Please let me know if I can be of help in any other way :)
Hello Mark! One of 3 things: 1. Trim the top edges smooth with sharp scissors 2. Wet sand them with fine grit sandpaper like this www.little-windows.com/collections/adhesives/products/sandpaper-for-resin-3-pack-wet-dry 3. Dome Up. This is a great technique as it allows additional embellishment if you want, and a smooth shiny surface all around, here's a tutorial showing how: www.little-windows.com/blogs/project-center/8378710-doming-up-cast-dome?_pos=1&_sid=a681ac80b&_ss=r Hope this helps :) - Fran@little-windows.com

+Andy M Hi Andy, thank you for noticing! We always print on Little Windows Special Photo Papers. There are 3 kinds - one Double-sided white (thicker), one single-sided white (Thinner), and Clear Photo Film. They work on all inkjet printers and the white ones work on laser too. The thicker Double-Sided paper can jam in u-feed printers, but if you have a good photo printer it should be fine. Any will work well in resin. You'll find them all on the little-windows.com website: www.little-windows.com/collections/special-papers
Hello Leesha! I use the Special Photo Paper for Resin from little-windows.com You can use any home printer and this paper won't bleed or run. You can use stickers too, but some paper ones can get blotchy, and thin paper ones may become translucent. To test, stick one in water for 10 minutes, if it soaks up resin you can either seal it with clear tape or Mod Podge, or find a sticker that's coated or made of vinyl. Thanks for asking :)
Hello Barb! I used the Photo Cropper at little-windows.com, you can try it for free with the Medium 1" Square and Diamond Shapes, which are a perfect fit for our Square Resin Mold, and our Square double-loop bezels. Or you can use it for any project where you need a 1" rounded-corner square photo :) Have lots of fun creating! - Fran
Hello Rayna! Have a look at the quick video about our Little Windows Photo Cropping Software. It's an app you use from any computer or laptop to resize and crop your digital photos to fit. If not, perhaps you could contact the makers of the products you're using, they should be able to help you. Please keep creating, it's a great way to stay sane! - Fran
Hello Christle Anne! I don't think you'll like the results very much because regular print paper absorbs liquids so the print becomes blurry and a bit translucent. Sometimes it can look pretty but mostly it turns out splotchy. If you have glossy photo paper you can try laminating it or sealing it with Mod Podge Glossy, or just give one of our Special Photo Papers a try, here's a link: www.little-windows.com/collections/special-papers And here's a 10% OFF code : LW1019
