Asobo recently had a dev q&a where the vast majority of the topic was MSFS 2024. In this video, we'll go over some of the key details that we've learned.
So they do that in some places. That's why big cities will have accurate billboards, businesses, and even every tree and bush. The problem is that when you get into that, it's not just AI. It's taking the information from all these photos and making it out. It takes an insane amount of processing if you want to process all the information worldwide. It would cost an insane amount.
Thanks for the dev stream recap, and take-aways. I'm particularly interested in the hot air balloons and blimps, as well as being able to walk about in the sim. I do hope we can actually exit one plane, and walk over to another that's parked, get in, and fly that one. :)
Thanks for the overview! If all the planes and airports from 2020 are kept, I guess I'll stick with the standard edition... Last question is if 2024 incorporates all the world updates from the getgo and if it's possible to maybe download 'some' areas so the reliance on stable internet isn't that bad...
They explained during the talk that the tornadoes and major storm events would be exclusive to the single-player campaign mode. Though I'm hoping they add it to the open world later on.
They really need to use AI to make the buildings and roads more accurate to real life. Bing already has the their equivalent to Google Street View.

@@ThomasGrillo if we could get in other planes, we might as well call the game Grand Theft Plane. lol.

@@alonelysnakeinvr587 adobo is looking to see if they can implement something, but it won’t be easy.

I've been running 64 GB of ram since I built my machine for MSFS 2020 and I still get stutters sometimes in VR.
