  • Today we look at the nature of reality, specifically the relationship between relative reality and ultimate reality, as defined by Nagarjuna in his work, Mūlamadhyamakakārikā. Hopefully this can assist those interested in Non-Dual spiritual teachings (Advaita Vedanta) come to understand their own apparently temporal nature, as well as their true, eternal nature.

We came as co creator of our own reality experiencing the contrast and deciding to focus in what we want in allowing the fullness of who we are from nothing to everything and then back to source (para) . if we wish..

      No problem.
      You need it.
      I need it.
      We need it.
The question is: do we have the courage to STARE into the very eyes of that existential dread?
We do, and it is our duty to do so.

Amazing video as always, quite spiritual. Brahman, pure consciousness alone is absolute reality as it is unchanging, the underlying essence of all and not a name-form subject to manifestation and dissolution. But just because the world is not absolutely real doesn't mean we can't enjoy it just as we can enjoy a beautiful sunrise even though the Sun never really rises or sets.

    Thankyou my friend.
I'm 62 and my life has always been a turmoil. Over the past two years and I've had a couple of "spiritual" experiences, one was most profound.
I've been learning to meditate, watching as much Sadhguru as I can, when it suddenly happened. I was approached by a being of light, it became a sphere and for one brief fleeting moment it opened and I saw everything. For a fraction of a second I was everywhere at once at every point in time. I saw It, I saw the very fabric of existence.
Sadly I'm in the UK, so the opportunity of meeting with you is virtually nonexistent. I'm also disabled and can't travel with my pain medication. I was hoping to visit the Isha Centre but my meds would never pass through customs.
I'd like to say that I greatly appreciate every word you post, it helps to find some clarity.
I look forward to your next video. 🙏🙏

Great.explanation of what ultimate reality is.I think Buddha realized this and thus became enlightened .When he said I am awake, he was awake to the illusion of seeing everything as separated from our ego perspective to seeing everything as just a big ocean of energy with no boundaries separating everything , no beginnings or endings but just an ocean of energy as in all material things are just made.up of molecules .

And i ve been constantly fighting with the idea that nothing is
    Nothing can be explained
Truly trying to put into words image or anything anyone could ever imagine what i am not thinking or thinking would be foolish
Or rather not because foolish is a concept and concept isn't
    And this idea isn't
I ve been detaching from reality
    And yet nothing is different
    Because nothing is
    Different isn't
    Isn't isn't
Its maddening to think or rather not think

Looking at things as non-existent belittles the here and now. To say some day in the future the rock will become sand and earth again or my body will become earth again is a factual statement about some time in the future. Now is a reference point that is meaningful because you are in it. The understanding that we die changes over time but by being here now WE ARE... I AM

The concepts of "relative" and "ultimate" reality should not come as a surprise. Relative reality is the contents of your ordinary conscious experience - thoughts, perceptions, feelings, etc. All that disappears when you sleep, and all the information in your brain gets "processed" to form new connections - ideas and memories. Your "relative reality" is reinvented every day. Just consider what it was like when you were 6 years old! If that is "relative" reality, then we automatically think there must be another "real", more encompassing reality, because our brains think in terms of comparison, or duality. So is there really an "absolute" reality", or is that just another idea we make up?

    Hello
I have been following you since 2015 and you played a major part in my spiritual journey. However one of the differences between the both of us is that I always have doubt in the back of my mind. And when I see you I see someone who is so sure about what they are saying. As if you were speaking the truth.
I know i am very primitive on a spiritual level and I cannot say that everyone should be skeptical like me about everything however I wanted to ask you this. What if you were “illuminated” or talked to god or became god or I don’t know how to describe the different spiritual experiences people have : how can you not have doubt in what you are seeing or thinking. How can you be so sure of what you are feeling or believe is the truth and not think about the possibility of your mind playing tricks on you or rather not seeing the whole truth ?

    Nothing and everything exist simultaneously..
If the universe is infinite.. with enough time anything could happen..
Thus essentially proving the many worlds theory..
Now I personally take a more finite perspective in my world-crafting..
    But ultimately this is truth..
If you can tap into that 10D mind frame they speak of.. you can begin to realign the energy to the correct pattern of your desires..
Dimensionally shifting to the reality you want to be in..
So dont be discouraged by some drowsy beat..
The universe is simultaneously meaningless and More Meaningful than you could ever imagine..
Its up to us to decide which perspective to take, logically, rationally, and in regards to what benefits our lives and well being.

@@peetafield8337 The explanation in this video is that ultimate reality is beyond words and thought. That's what he points too. Relative reality is identification with thought. We live in a conceptual world or existence, and we play the game of life this way, to get through life. As we were born, being a blank slate, i e. knowing nothing, so we shall die as no.thing. Our coping mechanism in life, i.e. the mind will be gone. We won't be able to speak, think and know things anymore, that we all learned from birth. Relative reality is a coping mechanism in life, but the bigger picture, i.e. ultimate reality is what we are. Ultimate reality can only be pointed too, but not explained with words. It can however be felt or sensed. Like he used as an example with waves and the ocean. Waves (relative reality) are still the ocean (ultimate reality). There is a quote by "Tich Nhat Hahn" which says it beautifully. " Enlightenment is when the wave realises it is the ocean". ❤

This is silly, if someone didn’t think they existed then there is no need to look after the body, the feeling you feel when you are hungry? Then ignore it, the feeling you feel when you are thirsty, then ignore it. If there is no “I” then treat your Mother and Father as the same as everybody else. All we have is life itself and love, to say that none of that exists is just very strange. When a person dies they are no more, we miss them beyond words, I think we exist.
