In other words, the Fiery way is Vairagya (Detachment ~Shivattwa) and Water way is engaging in the play of Mahamaya (Shakti) knowing it's all Her illusion, being conscious yet being involved in her play.

I started my own spiritual path working on the assumption that I had to meditate more, pray more, self isolate more, become a monk. That eventually flew apart in my face. I gave in to perceived failure and began to focus on interpersonal relations. I began working out instead of my typical meditations. The difference in happiness and success was night and day. Now a few steps into it, this video pops up. Thank you! Now I better know the direction I'm on.

I have had a similar experience! I feel like the "fiery" way is far more "advertised" than the "watery" way, so many people think that in order to be spiritual you have to meditate and get rid of your ego. But eventually I was like screw that and just dove into what really mattered to me, and like you the difference is night and day

Switching. I went the shiva path. This is how I called it. I burnt all internalised personas down. Inside me and I detached from all feelings from people around me. Just to one other human not. Now she stopped contact. I am switching now into Water way, shakti path. It was not easy to live the fire way. When all is burnt down I was almost ready to leave my body. And I am happy that I met those one human, she helped me staying here. Now I am back "alive". I just wished she would be in my life. Now I have to respect her wish. Before I couldn't, I had to stay attached to her: synonym for life. Namaste

I think the fire way is noble because it removes many distractions that may be present for the devotees of this path. The water way is noble because it is so naturally surrendered to the universe, if of course the distractions can be acknowledged for what they are and overcome. I believe destiny is the great decider and kamma. Great video!

The path chooses us. With any duality, there are always 4 states not 2. You have the two opposites then the balance and the nothing states. Therefore there are never just 2 polarities to anything in the universe. Once you understand that 2 is really 4, then you realize 4 is infinite. Everything leads to enlightenment sooner or later.

Enlightenment is easy. Fully embodying that truth into our actions in every moment is a constant practice. Those who have fully dissolved themselves in the divine and move in continuous flow are fully awakened. I’ve only seen 3 living beings fully awakened in my 26 years on Earth. This planet is still mostly in the dark. The feeling of myself truly is just a creation from a more fundamental Self, so those who are able to fully get over themselves are able to live from the Self that is unified with all. We must be nothing to exist in flow with everything. And with all that being said, just living as ourselves is the most miraculous thing that could have ever happened. Much love to all ❤🙏🏼

Enlightenment is when you become enlightened by what and who you really are, and you might experience it before even knowing how to meditate like I did, but for me that experience lead me to learn meditation, then i experienced enlightenment again but this time. I knew how it happened. Enlightenment is an awesome and overwhelming experience of beauty, peace, joy, compassion and happiness all at once, through meditation you 're thoughts slow down and stop and you become thoughtless within a split second, you transcend the mind and its compulsive habits and reactions, everything that caused you grief is no longer a part of you, you escape that mental prison of your mind and that's why you feel free and liberated, so enlightenment is about realizing how you escaped and that's the feeling of euphoria, like winning a million dollars on a quiz show because you figured out the puzzle that imprisoned yourself and countless others.

I am either one of both or one of neither because I tend to isolate but I feel the need to be expressive and embody nature to attempt to understand it at the forefront of the self. I am I. I don't mean to be egocentric, but I grew up under both Catholic and Lutheran households and convoluted by an Aitheist, experienced paranormal experience, and now I question everything and try to find parallels and anomalies within nature, resisting all foundation in contrarianism. I'm trying to be a wizard when the "science" we're all structured by doesn't fully add up to my own accord. I aim to swim up the stream of life, find the root of the problem, rather than just going with the flow...to find the root of the problem of myself means to go back to my earliest memories, and to learn more about my ancestry, and also to dig through the source of all of life in history. Maybe I can eventually pass between the seams; the space between space, time between time, and transverse different worlds to seek immortality. This sounds like some high fantasy garbage I'm spouting but my interests with escapism aligns with my ideal of what I'm escaping towards and what I'm escaping from. Mortality, this reality that's been framed for us when it's almost clear to me that I've been in a different reality, brings me skepticism on everything beyond my point of perception. I feel bound by cyclicality and I aim to supercede it. I don't renounce the world fully, but I don't feel like I belong here either. I also feel like I am meant for more than just the obligation of passing down the torch to just bring life into another, to let life blossom through me into something else because I just see that as repeating everything all over again to apply the same demand, depression, realities, and problems on another. I couldn't bring a child into this corrupted type of world. Instead, I aim to see it through to the end. If there is no afterlife, then all I'm doing is for naught but alternatively, maybe death is but the horizon in which the physical cannot perceive beyond? I will only know once I myself have passed through the veil.

Interesting! I'd not herd these ideas presented in this 'fire/water' way, but admit that it makes 'sense'. As you point out, when I started learning/using yoga in the early 90's, I approached it as I'd been taught to approach pretty much everything... as 'exercise' that I inserted into all the other things I did with my day. By the early 2000's, tho, I'd come to the realization that life is yoga - yoga is life, which changed everything. Seems odd that a fire horse (by the Chinese zodiac), like myself, would identify as much as I do with water, but guess it's all part of 'going with the flow'. Thanks for the food for thought : )

One thing I have come across recently is the Kabbalah. If you see the tree of life there is 10 spots and 22 paths. Well one take is that this tree is a roadmap. If you want to call enlightenment reaching the top then it’s the different paths you can take. I only share so if you want more things to dig into. To me enlightenment is simply breaking through a barrier. Whatever that barrier is. What enlightenment means for your pet cat is not what it means for a human. And likely it will not be the same for a spirit. And that won’t be the same for an angel. Each being has new heights because they’re already on higher levels. Each enlightenment simply places the opportunity for the next.

It's Lila the divine play at work. I think that's a very interesting concept and a very unique way of putting it. I think they're all playing the role that fits them best. I think the person who realizes the truth and stays in the world is no different than the person who realizes the truth and checks out of the world, because they're still characters, and their still consciously aware of their existence. Though one can abide in an unconscious realm, they are not always their, and as you're as you're conscious you're part of the show.

I do both balanced, live in Society Material but no desire but still enjoy it, no kids but yes partner, still devotee for a long time , surrender and fasting and then go out , I just not With or Without , The true way for me ( as I believe after years ) is The TAO TE ( it is both water and fire ) not one component that's true enlightment but as it is very simple, it is as the fullest path the trickier as you have to know when to be fire when to water and how long and what attiude but through surrendering everything goes on naturally

Very nice video. I feel like watery way isn't very appreciated and might often pressure people to live a lifestyle they're not really made for. We're all different, with different needs and interests and becoming one with our world is a singular experience for each one of us.

There are 112 paths to enlightenment
The most important is doing what one feels resonates with them the most
Each being is unique, as no 2 drops in the ocean are identical yet all merge into one ocean
    One consciousness
May everyone be blessed on this journey no matter which path one takes….what is meant for you will never pass you by….the divine is seeking you, just follow your heart, it will reveal to you your path through intuitive feelings ! Just go with the flow of life, go with how you feel any particular day, nothing is set in stone, everything is forever shifting and moving gracefully
🙏 surrendering to the divine will with complete acceptance of what is or isn’t happening for you in your life. This journey into the heart takes immense courage. May all be blessed with an open heart 💚 u

this fire path thing reminds me of spiritual alchemy, for me going full on to water path seems like it might be much harder me to maintain logic and objectivity when it comes to inner and outer stuff

When I think of water and fire together, the first thought is we end up with hot water..
Unless there is much more fire, then water seems to disappear. But I was reminded of an Astrologer's presentation of the combinations of elements, with this duo creating Steam.
Hmmm steam.. but also I'm thinking, fire doesn't exist very well without the other elements, Air and Earth. Does Fire exist without Air? What about without Earth? Water is also in the Air on Earth right.. hmmm well thank you so much for this wonderful video and words of yours to further contemplate and integrate

yeah I think that burning up of what I tought to be was not done thru me.... but I was propably pushed on fire path :D but at the same time after the falling I kinda try, but only try to do that... acctually I do kinda both.... also discovered that " Imortality" might not be what we tought to be

My understanding is both are necessary. To pick one path without understanding and balancing with the other is like understanding one side of a coin without understanding the full depth of what's really there. It's still only a partial understanding, not a full comprehensive. Life is study

I think they’re the same, just reflecting each other like everything else. Diving into the world is the same as diving into urself n vise Versa. Although different physically, which is the egos way of seeing it. Or in other words the ego will think it’s (physically) different. So I say why not both🤷‍♂️
