Life isn't about how to survive the storm,it's about how to dance in the rain. You have every right to a beautiful life. NEVER be ashamed of your problems... Your body... Yourself... YOU are worth LIFE. If you believe in yourself anything is possible.

This presentation has blowned my mind !!
Until now, life of people or my life was the product of the judgement of the others on me, and it was also my own judgement on my past life.
But now I understand that life is firstly the deep feeling of my beingness without any thoughts.
That will allow me to do great things and will make this feeling better, which means it will make me become a better human being, and it will make my life better, whoever I am if I'm rich or poor, whoever I am if I'm a busy manager or a monk in a monastery.
Like the light that you can feel with the sense of your eyes, like its warmth that you can feel with the sense of you skin, life is your own beingness that you can feel with the sense of your consciousness now and only now.

Which might partly or wholy explain why there is no such person as a dead one. People often ( probably far more often than not ) put in their Will and Testament an expression of how they wish to be `disposed` of. Normally by either burial or cremation.
But nobody is ever cremated or buried. Though my body may be lowered into the ground, I shall never be buried.

We're so pre-exposed to comparing ourselves with the next person from a young age, that we really forget the "big picture", which is that Life is about being in the present, forgetting everybody else opinions on you, and their so-called"achievements", and making the most of it, and being happy 'cause your present and living!

    • @jacquespoirier216
      @jacquespoirier216 ปีที่แล้ว +5

I have noticed that a lot of people compare themselves to others. I think people have different strengths and weaknesses. I don't feel the need to forget everybody else "opinion". I listen to their point of view and actually spend time learning about who they are and the reasons they may perceive me negatively or positively. I must say that one of my goals in life is to excel at conflict resolution therefore I welcome negative views and enjoy the challenge. I think it's the only way to reach the level of self-awareness. It's easy to reject other people's opinions but can you truly say you can forget them? memories have the tendency to come back.

I love your videos and books and I've discovered 2 even faster ways in which you help me to get present. The first is one of your photos in which you look straight into the camera and you are intensely present.
When I look at it, that state of presense spreads to me instantly. It would take me about an hour of listening to or reading your book to achieve similar effect as taking one look at that photo does.
Another way is to recall what you once shared somewhere online. You said that you sometimes would send people a small message which was a litle bit of empty space between two brackets. Just picturing that tiny dose of empty space in the brackets on someone's phone seem to be enough to make me present right away.
It's like a little presence booster, without any adverse reactions.

I get a sense of my own presence when I get to sleep and somehow lose the use of all my senses.
I lose the use of my vision, taste, hearing, touch, smell, my brain doesn't think anymore. Sometimes when these are all shutting down but I'm not sleeping yet, I still sense something. I'm here but I don't know anything about what's around me. My face could be 1mm away from the walls of my room, the beat of my heart can get more noticeable but can also be ignored.
I'm here and I'm everywhere because I don't sense anything of what's around me. I just am :)
I had this experience maybe 10 times in 27 years. The mind gets at rest for probably one minute, then the sleep comes.

These teachings are essentially Advaita Vedanta - non-duality. I have spent the past 20+ years steeped in this philosophy. It has changed, affected, influenced everything in my life for the better I would say.
Still though, do you all believe that is it? That that is the end? So, you are of the quality of consciousness, which is free from bondage and is the eternal I am. Where does this leave you all in terms of a relationship with a personal god? Do you reject that conception?
The reason I ask is that recently I experienced the tragic passing of my 17 month old puppy to a car accident - we were best friends and our love and bond was/is beyond words. This intense grief made me re-examine my faith.
Till now I had been content with not really having a personal relationship with one god per se, though I always thoughts of myself and god in a more universal divinity connection kind of thing. But now, when I feel the stark reality of the impermanence of everything in this world, passing away all the time, and I know I will have to reconcile that for myself at any moment (for death is just a moment away), and I will add that I am left with only the hope and faith that the bond between myself and my loved ones, including my dog, has some kind of eternal or permanent life to it and that we will be together again - my spirit wants to rest on the support of its father/creator somehow. Fading away into emptiness or merging with Brahman at the time of death (with no personal God the father to greet me) as if I don’t exist as an individual soul, doesn’t seem like the whole story to me and makes me wander back towards a dualistic relationship again.
I wonder what Ekhart would say about faith in a personal god in light of a non dualistic experience of life.

Do! Visualise what you want life to be, do not stay alone, go walking in the nature if you have it around you, beauty is everywhere...come on you are love and Not alone. Wash those energies away , under the shower imagine the colours of the rainsbow coming down on you, you are much more than you think. You are Light. Mr. Eckhart Tolle has a gift of explaining "Being Present" in a very simple and understanding way. The human "Ego" can be your worst enemy. When you let this monster be in control, judgmental, make decisions, choose who is your friend or reject people in your life, choose what house to own, car to drive, ect. you have lost the real meaning and value of life and being present. These are the people that we can look at that have all the material things, but lack who they really are and therefore very unhappy.
Joyful existence is not letting material things distract you from being in the present moment and loving the "me" in that moment of being present.

One thing I always question is how do you improve your self without self identity? If you don't want a fit body why exercise? If you don't want affluence why work harder to get ahead? The ego is a double edge sword. It drives us to do better but it does that by making judgements and unhappiness. Ballance seems to be the key.
