After Simon & Garfunkel split up in 1970 for their solo careers, Art Garfunkel covered I Only Have Eyes For You. It was his only top 40 hit as a solo artist. I really hope you will check it out as it is an exceptional cover of this great classic song.

Wonderful! First time I heard this was as a kid watching the movie “American Graffiti”; I then became OBSESSED with the whole soundtrack. This song defines a “Mood” 😊 Great Choice, Sue!

If you slow danced to this song, you fell deeper in love. One of the best arrangements of a song written in 1934. Classic Doo Wop sound.

Happy to see you doing one of these old groups, Teez. What a great time for music that was.

Somewhere here on TH-cam is the original version of this song from like the '30s and for them to take it from THAT to THIS is pretty amazing. They made it 1000x more romantic!

These guys were smooth with a capital S. so atmospheric. I first heard it as a kid and it’s stayed with me for decades.

Classic love song. I heard this when I was very young even before I knew exactly what "love" was, or the feeling. Had a little radio in my room and I would just sway alone back and forth feeling so good just hearing the music and voices. I was close to my teenage year I think, but golly so long ago for me. :) Just beautiful. and that do-wop sound man oh man. You can just get lost in it and nothing else seems to matter.

DEFINITE mood setter. Call it "make out music" cause that's what it is. Going to email with another 1959er, but uptempo song. Just you wait!

I love that you loved this song. A lot of men in their 20s and 30s act like it's not manly or that it's dorky to listen to older music, or to a variety of genres. I really don't understand that mentality. That kind of openness is a very attractive quality to find in a person. I can't jive with people that don't feel music as hard as I do. So many people just don't feel music. It makes me wonder if there is something wrong with them. Is that a sociopathic quality? I don't know, might as well be.
