The city burns and bleeds as it suffers the madness of King Louis XVI and his violent legions of automatons. Aegis, a mechanical masterpiece created by the engineer Vaucanson to be the queen's bodyguard, must save the French Revolution in this challenging action-RPG.
Up against the king's mechanical soldiers, deadly accuracy will be needed. String together dodges, parries, jumps and devastating attacks to fight your way through Paris. Every fight will test your nerve and requires excellent discipline, while the huge relentless machine bosses demand patience and skill.
Define your own style and upgrade your abilities as you progress through the game. You can play as a ruthless warrior, a hard-hitting bodyguard, a deadly dancer or a virtuoso of the elemental arts. Take advantage of a wide variety of weapons and skills to approach each fight in your own unique way.
Using carriages, grapples, secret passages, a detailed map, and other methods and tools you find along the way, explore a city experiencing its darkest days. Your grappling hook adds a new dimension to exploration and Paris's verticality. Combined with your dash ability, it will provide access to all the city's secrets across multiple levels you can explore over and over again.
You are one of the main characters of an alternative history where Paris is being choked by a tyrant king. Allies and enemies with unclear motives will cross your path, such as Marie-Antoinette, Lafayette and Robespierre. It's up to you to cut a path through all the plotting and put an end to one man's madness so that the French Revolution succeeds.

I think you had a bug at the two doors. Because where the lady said she needed water, you needed to give her the water bottle. Otherwise really great LP as always. Little hint at the side, you can destroy the hanging bags, they always have items.

@@ryancasey7906 the answer is an obvious one, if you like souls like games then yeah pick it up.
If your still on the fence just keep watching the playthrough of it at least, I know I'm enjoying the game which is what matters.
Funny thing is I'm not a big fan of Dark Souls but I love souls like games, having played both The Surge's, have 1000 gamerscore in Elden Ring, played the absolute shit out of Hellpoint. Even played Doleman which was alright.
I enjoy coming back and watching after I do an area to see what you did vs how I approached it. For those just arriving in this area there is an item pick up on the little island at the beginning to the left of the boat, to the right if you are facing it. You have to jump over to it. Fun game so far. Really digging it.
I do the same thing with his walk through. I play an area and go back to watch his playthrough of it to see if I missed anything or just to enjoy seeing him play in his own way.
Man this game has a lot of potential to it I really like the dex build you are using so far and the weapons seem to have great variety!
When you were picking your class at the beginning I was really hoping you'd try out alchemy (even though I didn't know there would be a fire ball and chain) glad to see my instincts weren't wrong. Alchemy weapons do look really badass.
that will be my go to weapons too :D tried it in beta and freeze seemed kinda busted , not gonna lie .
The shieldgun at the Start first lvl, is a Alchemie weapon aswell...

Your fighting style is good. I like to be aggressive at times myself. But I change at times on the approach. But your style is awesome.

I love the weapons from this game
They all look cool. I personally wouldn't play with the fans because of the too close combat but I LOVED seeing him do it. The animations are pretty for them and the combos are cool. I personally usually choose greatswords and heavy bonks in these type games but I chose the halbred which is out of my comfort and love it so far.
Hey FightinCowboy if you like dex weapons I would suggest looking into the "thousand cuts" claw or the "thousand blades" fan.

Don't forget about your freeze musket. You can burn down an entire spliff while they thaw out.
As an agility build, I should try out the claws. Even though the scaling was great all stats went down. When I found the sabor all bets where off lol. Ill try them out tomorrow.
While I’m not quite tired of elden ring yet…that game is so big that by the time you play through it, you’ve forgotten things for ng+.
But this is arriving in the mail tomorrow and I’m here for it.

At 4:35 we can see that: "Raytracing is disabled". With a powerful RTX card, the visuals would be way better.

I just saw that theres a mechanic where u overheat stamina to press Y in a limit time to get it all back. Like nioh
It's weird. The run animation is so big and exaggerated, but the character hardly covers any ground at all. Also, what's up with the turn radius? Looks like the character controls like a car or something. Not sure about this one. Thanks for the look at it though. Always enjoy watching.

@@cikbast1988 just a 2016 laptop. my only consoles are ps3 and ps4. every time sony offers a chance for a ps5 i just paid rent like a day or 2 before. the past 4 times in a row.
I feel like this game would have benefitted from having larger areas like in Dark Souls for more exploration, but it still looks like a lot of fun anyways.
The areas are honestly decent size. Bigger than the Surge 2 areas. There is ALOT of innerconectivity , more than dark souls imo. There’s a good bit of shortcuts but the map is quite big for a game that’s not a FromSoft game
You think this game is worth buying now or wait 6 months for gamepass?

I mean it is visually very attractive… beautiful… the movements a tad jerky, but the fighting though quick, seems ok. I will keep watching to see if we get some more variety…
well she is an automatom, not a human being. so i guess that is where the jerky movements come in
I did not realize Steelrising was from Spiders. The levels look exactly like DS or Sekiro to me for some reason aside from the different setting. The combat feels fast. Looks fun in general.
I recommend building a Ryzen spec'd instead of Intell this gen. With AM5 and Zen 4 releasing at the end of the month. With the specs I have seen from AMD they are about to blow Intell out of the water performance wise this gen.

This is a review copy? no day 1 patch? wondering why the game did not like that you changed dlss etc settings!
Game just looks meh. Love souls/borne games, but not liking what I'm seeing here.
This game can be easily cheesed with grenades and alchemy weapons, its really sad to see. I've seen late game bosses go down in less than a minute simply from easy to grind powerful bombs thrown to burn, freeze or just chunk health like its an robot made of paper.
Don’t use them lol I think they added them for the sissy boys that can’t handle a real souls game . Same with the assist mode. It’s a good idea for them to have a wider audience but for people who want a challenge just don’t exploit the cheeses lmfao there’s cheeses in most souls games lol it’s up to you wether to use them or not
