I’m not sure if it’s a strategy, but it’s something that gives me an edge. This likely goes in the “Mitigation” concept. I place my 5 initial dice in an “X” formation such that it gives me access to ALL squares for future placement. It opens my options so I can make the best use of the rolled dice. Many players “family members” think it’s cute to line the sides…. Not 👁️!
I would call this an ADVANCED concept because I am not willing to be THAT player yet: Pay attention to your opponents needs. Do they have a color or number that might bail him/her out? Can you use that dice in some way? If so that’s the dice you draft! I did this before and got dirty looks, which tells me that it’s a good strategy 🤷🏽♂️.
