Great video! One of my favorite combos(that I consider almost overpowered), is the Courthouse + Judge + Crane combo. One game I played, I had the Courthouse and Judge, which allowed me to play the Crane for a berry instead of a pebble(due to the Judge’s ability). I then got a pebble for playing the Crane due to the Courthouse’s ability. I then used the 3 resource discount from the Crane to play the University, giving me ANOTHER pebble from the Courthouse’s ability again. So the Courthouse/Judge/Crane combo allowed me to essentially convert one berry into a University + 2 pebbles. Needless to say I won that game.
Great video, thanks! Most strategy videos Ive seen so far have been such low lvl analysis as to be useless to me. But this deeper dive and the card comparison between similar card archetypes was really helpful.
I agree with the previous commenter, this is the next level analysis and recommendations and very very helpful ! Other videos I’ve seen seem too basic to be useful even to this new Everdell player!
Hey man, great job making an Everdell video! I love this game. I've played only five times, but I have to say, wow, Shopkeeper and Historian in the first season! How would you manage that? Not only do you need those cards to come up, which is unlikely, but you also need the other players not to take those cards, and you need four berries! How often does this happen in practice? I can see it being an ideal scenario, but one that would almost never ever happen. Also, I don't understand the synergy you mentioned between Crane and Architect. They seem like totally separate cards with no synergy. Nice video!

The Crane is the home of the Architect. You can play the beaver for free.
Your channel name wouldn't be referencing the high school of the same name, would it?
Yes, Fossil Ridge is a local name I liked when I put the channel to together. I remember seeing that there was a high school with the same name.
