This Chapter describes the Soil Water Potential to determine the energy state of water in soil so as to understand water movement and retention in soils.
Thank you so much sir about your gorgeous lecture. I am very happy to understood the soil physics...I am aspirant of jrf physical science..and please make a video for jrf.... 😊
THanks Tyson for your comments. Regarding JRF, I feel that if you could understand the concepts of any subject, you can very surely attempt all the MCQ or any other type of short or long type of questions. I wish you all the best.
Dear Sir Good morning can you mention referring valid source to define soil matric forces,I am a student of Agriculture Bsc in Sri Lanka it is necessary to enter to an Assignment
Yes. Say, You have a value of soil matric potential as -1000 cm. Its pF will be 3. 3 is simply the negative log of pF (just like pH, which is negative log of H ion concentration). So pF is negative log of soil matric potential. Just to write a huge value in terms of log value. Hope I am able to make yyou understand. All the best.

You are welcome. All the best.

To my knowledge it is as given below:
Kohnke, H. (1968). Soil Physics. McGraw Hill, New York.

good one sir
Thanks Hasitha.
Thanks sir ji 🙏🙏🙏🙏. I am a student of your student.
God bless you, Ankit.
Sir can u explain pF value in simple way?
