What the fantastic techer you are... It just mind blowing. Sir you have very deep knowledge. I have never ever seen such kind of crystal clear explanation.. Keep it up nd love you 💝💝💝
Thanks dear friend for your words of appreciation. This in fact constitutes the force behind my endeavour to pre-record and upload more lectures. Regards
Thanks Neetu Mam. Shall try my best to cover as many aspects of soil physics including irrigation water management as possible. This was my dream to pass over my knowledge to my students and younger colleagues, including art of teaching. Regards.
Thank you so much sir .It helps me a lot for preparing assistant soil conservation officer exam.I have gone through all your lectures and these are very very helpful.
Hi Prof Kukal, thanks for this videos. I just started learning about soil water as a part of hydrology. What is the difference between "soil moisture" and "soil water characteristics (field capacity, permanent wilting point)"?
Thanks Mukhtar for your interest in my video lectures. Well to answer your question, soil moisture is simply the amount of moisture present in soil expressed as soil water content either on mass or volume basis. On the other hand soil moisture characteristics is relation between soil water content and the force with with which it is bound by the soil particles (soil matric potential, SMP). The index FC is the amount of water present at 0.1-0.3 bars of SMP, whereas as PWP is the amount of water present in the soil at SMP of 15 bars. These things will be clear in one of my video lectures. For any further querry, please feel free to ask. All the best.
@@ProfessorKukalSoilScienceClass Thank you very much for your answer. It gave me some understanding. I will continue watching the lessons and I hope these things will be clear soon.
Hlo sir can you please make video on how does the presence of a stratified lower layer of sand in lower horizon of a loam soil impede the downward movement of water??. I'm from Nepal . Your video helps a lot sir...🙏
Thanks Netrika for your suggestion. Shall do so soon. Its very hot here in Punjab and it becomes difficult for me to record outside. But surely I shall record the topic which you suggested. Thanks for your interest in my lectures. Regards.
Thanks Rajat for reminding me. I am aware that more topics are due to be discussed. It was due to shifting of my residence. I assure you that I shall post more videos soon. My regards.
@@ProfessorKukalSoilScienceClass thank you so much sir your lecturer are really very concept clearing so please continue it and blessed us with your knowledge.

Thank you Manvendra, I will.
Thankyou soo much sir ❤
You are welcome, Aliasgar.
very well explained sir.. looking forward to more such video's on soil science, problem soils, quality of irrigation waters etc.
