Great vid! New drivers, definitely sign up for shop & pay right away. It's a good way to get work during slow times and can sometimes result in a very good tip. Also can be a nice little break from dealing with noisy restaurants with crappy employees. Also, one thing that I think has been beneficial to me is checking in with a customer (like "good afternoon, John. They're finishing up your order" or "on my way with your Taco Bell order"). It takes a few extra seconds and I feel it helps to instill confidence in the customer that you give a damn about their food/groceries/etc.
How do you avoid having to haul all that crap up 3 flights of stairs to apartments? The money can't be that good. I have the card I just haven't activated it yet.
@@snugglbr not gonna lie, you're rolling the dice and occasionally you'll get miserable orders like that. Best piece of advice I can offer, when it comes to shop & pay, is look closely at the number of items ordered and the dollars per mile. Newbie here, just started driving this morning... 40 minutes, made $15. (all within a 10-mile radius too). I think I did good for my first time (3 deliveries). THANK YOU for the excellent instructions and tips and advice, made loads of sense and I hope this is the beginning of a great experience!
The thing that I don't like about Uber is that you can't just do orders in whatever city you are in without having to call support and changing your delivery area. That is one thing that I liked about Door Dash. You just turned the app on and delivered in whatever city you were in. So I did try this in another state. So I stand corrected.
If your doing uber eats, and they give you a long drive order, you're better off stopping requests because you could get another call that takes you even further away from where you like to be
Kinda tricky. I just had that happen today and i was literally all over every suburb and downtown. I was about an hour away from my apt but the orders KEPT coming in. On average especially in suburbs $7-35 plus orders! Prob got 50+ offers alone today. Could not keep up
Thank you so so much for showing me how I can pause the incoming offers 🙂 Not sure if anyone would find this helpful, but if I'm not sure about an offer, lets say it is $4.50, 2 miles, 20 minutes. twenty minutes is a third of an hour, so I multiply 4.5 x 3 to figure out what this is in pay hourly In this case it is $13.50 hr. , so I would decline as it is below minimum wage. To simplify the math I do round up/down the minutes to where it is easy to calculate how many times it goes into 60 minutes (hr).
Ideally you want to maximize earnings and minimize gas mileage as much as possible, so I appreciate you educating your viewers on theoretical application with visual examples. I also agree with your values on setting a minimum amount for your own financial benefit. And lastly, I just want to add one thing: depending on where you’re doing UberEats, some customers prefer to use a PIN for security reasons. Upon delivery, customer is supposed to give you a 4 digit PIN. You need to input that PIN in order to complete the delivery.
Thanks for the great video. I only drive for Uber Eats (side hustle about 15 hours a week, $250 weekly goal) and it’s enough for me to handle. Good luck out there
OMG you helped me out so much when it comes to this I messed up today was my first day delivering as an Uber driver and I drove way too much for 3 dollars. I was lost because I didn’t know how to fully use the Uber drive app.

All this time, I never knew a coffee cup/mug existed whenever I wanted to take a small break. I always turn off Uber delivery and come back. I don't think I ever see the coffee icon, I'll have to check and see if its there, and thanks for the whole tip despite I been doing Uber for over a year now. Edit: It appears I don't have this coffee cup paused icon at all! How do you actually get it?
🎉 I finally did Uber Eats for the 1st time yesterday. 👍🏾😉🤑😁 I made $47.00 ~ I'm shocked to see that some customers have up to 24 HOURS to adjust your tip. That is the message I received yesterday for 1 customer. The others customers had 1 hour to adjust your tip. I wonder why the 24 Hour time frame? 🤔 I also don't like the fact that UE does not break down your stacked orders. On the map it shows two red cars and two green cars to indicate you did two deliveries. However, the summary break down only shows one delivery. Not crazy about that. Other than, it will be another Uber Eats day for me since I can't Dash until 630pm. 🙂
Good morning Bri! Hope you are having a great weekend! Thanks for the tips! I didn't know I could share my location on Uber. I do that with DoorDash but I didn't know that Uber has that option as well.
I was planning to do my first Uber Eats tomorrow. All my documents and background check passed so i thought i was eeady to go...seen this video and went to preferences in uber driver app, like the video showed, clicked on uber eats and ANOTHER background check! Now i have to wait for this. Wish they mentioned this during registration because i would never have known uber eats is a seperate background check. No money for me tomorrow 😢

i had a problem with my first pick up after i confirmed the order and clicked it. it wouldnt go to the customers address ? what would cause this i called the support line and no real help. i ended up having to call several times. to actually get it fixed only way was to get the customer on the phone through the agent.

A few $ extra a month? That’s not bad, I wish! My insurance policy went up to over $4,000/year for the additional insurance with progressive because it had to be “commercial driving insurance.” I had to quit Uber Eats as it just wasn’t worth it unless delivering 8 hours every single day of the year.
Thanks for making this! I am wanting to start Uber Eats to pay off student debt but I thought putting that as my why would make me look bad 😂 Also, can you explain the “points” and what they mean/what they do/give you?
Thank you for your videos. Can you do one on the Uber pro card. I just started driving Uber eats a couple of days ago. I chose to have their debit card and its supposed to arrive by mail to me in about a week. I am concerned about being able to withdraw my earnings in the form of cash if I need to do so. Will I have to pay ATM fees to get cash. If I want to transfer money to a bank account I have, will there be transfer fees? Lastly I heard they do not let you switch to having earnings deposited deposited instead in my bank account if I desire.

I dont think UE does. Ive recently signed up in Auckland, New Zealand, and do my deliveries in West Auckland, so would automatically think i would deliver around that area, but i received an order to deliver in Central Auckland, which is not in my zone, and a twenty minute drive along the motorway, as thats the only way you can get to the destination. Hope that sort of helps for the country/area you live in.
I had an order for Walmart yesterday for $7.38 3 stops had to be there at a certain time and then made me drive 7 miles total, didn’t know the miles until after. Am I missing something here? Why would someone do this? That’s the last time I do one like that.
This is a bad offer. I see these type of Walmart offers in my Opportunities tab sometimes and these are definitely not an opportunity. Definitely stay away from these, unless the pay and mileage and how many drop offs are worth it.
Bri; would you be able to answer my question, please. When delivering for DoorDash what do we do if we hand the order to the customer as they are or were outside? Do we take a pic of them?
