    If you really want the base 5 speed Versa you have to move fast. Almost all are sold while they are in transit to the dealer. I bought mine while it was in pre-transit. I guess its still in Mexico getting it assembled. Yup I don't think I'll be disappointed buying a car with so many great reviews site unseen and never drove one;)

    Thanks for the video I'm really considering this exact model and spec myself to purchase next year. Could you do a driving video with live impressions if you have time in the future?

    Great purchase! Just so you know, that 20 year warranty is mostly a scam. You have to do all your maintenance at Antwerpen for the entire 20 years for them to honor that warranty. If you miss even one maintenance visit at their dealership, that 20 year warranty is now void

      So is the 20 year 200,000 mile warranty from the dealership, or Nissan, or some third party? Was it really “free” or did they charge you something for the warranty? Does it cover the engine and the transmission? Congratulations on your new car. I think the Versa is a pretty good looking sedan. The Versa sized car is all I need, so there’s no way I’m going to spend a lot on some SUV or super fancy car. I’m not wasting money on some car to “keep up with the Jones” or make myself look or feel better.

      It was a dealership warranty and they did say it only covered the engine. I need to touch base with them and see if it needs to be serviced there for it too be covered. I do most of my own work and the dealership is quite a drive. So far, I have few complaints

      warranty is still worth it, not a scam. No one else will give you that warranty. I have a lifetime warranty on the motor and trans and any parts that have any fluid. Well worth it paying $20 extra for an oil change if my motor will be replaced. They have changed valve covers gaskets, intercooler, oil pan oil leaks on my Audi. Well worth it.

    They claim they don't offer manuals because no one will buy one, yet they can't keep one in stock on the dealer lot and you have to hunt for months to find one because they are snatched up as soon as they arrive.

    • @slingshotengage
      @slingshotengage  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@LyleBialk That's the reason i bought it! I believe there will always be some diehard manual drivers, question is, will manufacturers listen. Sadly, I think we know

    • @LyleBialk
      @LyleBialk 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@slingshotengage Yeah, when I fist started looking, the one Nissan dealer told me "that is a thing of the past". The manufactures just want you to buy their high tech junk. The same reason they will not sell many desirable features along with the manual transmission - they want you to buy the CVT garbage.

    • @LyleBialk
      @LyleBialk 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@slingshotengage Yeah, but there would be a lot more fans if they would actually spend some time/effort marketing them, and allowed full range of options with a manual. I'm averaging 43.9 MPG over the past 3 months of driving my 2024 Versa. It's going in next week to get Krown rust protection, well before Michigan's salt season starts. I'm hoping and expecting this car to last me for the next 10 years.

    I envy you man! I want a manual Versa but my wife doesn’t want one of our car to be a manual. She shot herself in the foot though because the 2022 Altima we bought will need a new cvt pretty soon. We got quoted $8000 for a new cvt.

      No key fob . I just got the basic S manual model like you did with splash guards, floor mats and no center armrest . I was thinking about ordering one from my local Nissan dealership and having someone install it but I think Nissan wants about 300 dollars for it . Hard to believe a center armrest is an option lol . These car companies will do anything to make or save a couple dollars - KIA for example doesn't include a spare tire just a can of fix-a-flat in the trunk . I'm not kidding - hopefully there's a prayer book there along with the fix-a-flat lol ....

    $300 for dealer installed locking lug nuts is nuts! Would have requested that removed. One dealer tried to charge $699 for a 3 year "Karr" (dealer pre-installed) security system they were able to remove by simply deactivating it online. Dealerships just want to squeeze every $ out of you.

    You can add a aftermarket alarm to it for under $100 & it will open the doors remote & you can add the trunk for extra. Stereo is a piece of crap & no aftermarket dash kit available to put in one. No Android Auto or Apple CarPlay on the S trim.
