Cheers, Dom, and thanks for watching. This was one of those special days that rarely come around. Getting to grips with the Z8 slowly but surely. We need to get out soon.
Lovely vid. 👍 I was in the fells last week. On Monday there was two foot of snow at the top of Great Gable and a good foot on most of the higher fells. On High Street the drifts were huge and the path largely un-trodden; it was hard work. On Thursday I did Haystacks to Red Pike and there was little to no snow left. The first bit of descent from Red Pike was treacherous because the path is so loose. When I left on Friday, only the very highest fells still had some snow. Blessed that I had blue skies and sun for all five days, very lucky!
Hiya, Dave. Thanks for watching. Well you certainly picked the right week to get out on the fells. It sounds like you had a great time. The snow does make it tough going, but uts really worth it. The Lakes in winter is very hard to beat. Take care.
Stunning 🎉🎉🎉 Hopefully one of the stills will end up in next year's calendar. It's more than likely that one will be going to Clearwater Florida. The taciturn men of the mountains and this one couldn't even show you the way with his chin, - too freezing cold 😂
Hello again. Many thanks for watching. I think the thumbnail will make the next calendar. I wish I'd have taken more photos. If I get another day like this before spring is really here, I'll be very happy. Take care x
Nice to see you included Dodd, so many people miss it out because it is not a Wainwright but it offers a superb view. I did the exact same route about 2.5 years ago but started/finished at Gatesgarth Farm on a boiling hot day, ran out if water and found it a tough old hike. Its a fair old pull up to Red Pike but then again the drop off High Crag was no picnic either. Lovely conditions at the tarn and loved the snowman lol and you are not the only one who have been moaning about the poor weather over the lakes. perfect views and conditions from the drone, I have had mind almost 3 weeks now and still not had it out yet. I thought Diz was going to vanish on the way up to Red Pike but superb ridge views. I got away with only one fall on the way down off High Crag and hated that descent, which is why I have only done it the once but it does offer amazing 360 views, especially from the drone. Very good watch, cheers Alan
Ahh thanks for watching, Alan. You've got to do Dodd, especially when you've done that tough walk. As you said, the view is so good, I fancy doing a camp up there someday. This one is one of my favourite walks, but it is a tough one, you certainly know about it when you get back to the car. So glad I got out in some snow, and with a bit of luck, we'll see more of it before spring arrives properly. Take care, mate.
great video mal.. i said the same thing about the high crag descent, tho i think the path has improved in the last 2 years, think its under construction.. all the best lad, tek care :)
Thanks for looking in, Dave. This one will not be forgotten, been waiting for these conditions all winter. Hopefully there's more on the way before spring truly arrives. Take care, I'll catch up with your channel when I get some time.
Drone footage with the snow, outstanding. Keepuo the good work
Thanks for watching and supporting my little channel. Really great walk this one was. Take care.
Lovely vid and cracking shots at the end!!

Nice video Mal, I had my first Wildcamp on High Stile so it’s nice to see it with its winter jacket on. Atb mate. Richard
Thanks for watching, Richard. What a day it was, really unforgettable. Take care.
