Not sure if anyone mentioned it yet but you can make this start so much easier by recruiting in raid stance. The -1 turns for global recruitment means you could get 3 extra orcs/squigs that first turn of recruiting. You lose out on some income but definitely seems worth it to me.
It's not worth the extra expense. The battle is easy enough and you can recruit in normal with two lords and by the start of Turn 3 you basically have a full stack. Confederate the tribe to the north and have another lord recruiting rock lobbers and you'll have two full and very powerful armies within six turns.
Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. You've earned a subscriber with your incredible way of explanation, sir. Easy to understand and very enjoyable to follow along. Special appreciation for the alternate methods mentioned and perspective you give to your thought process/decision making. Looking forward to more of your work!
I wonder if you can dispand enough units so that he attacks you but is quite winnable, means you wouldnt have to move towards the settlement and can go back to focussing on the scabby eyes.
So in theory you can get him to attack you by going into forced march near him. However, I prefer my method for the extra recruitment, as it enables me to recruit more, confederate Scabby Eye too, and have two full stacks in place by the time I'm attacking Barak Varr, then declare the waaaagh, get full reinforcements from it and move to crush Karaz-a-Karak in quick succession.
This seems extremely loreful for Gorbad. I've got a hostile tribe on my doorstep and dwarfs to the north, but I'll instead do a surprise attack to claim K8P without actually attacking it!
Absolutely! As I mentioned in another reply, I actually wondering if it was something that CA put in deliberately. A chance for players to roleplay Gorbad's big finkin' straight away.
Im so confused, every time I start a campaign squig herd units are not available to recruit EVER let alone turn 1. How do I get them to show up? What am I doing wrong?
What're your graphics settings? Your game looks so much better than mine, but I have set pretty much everything to ultra and taa high, yet my game looks like absolute doo-doo for some reason...
@@WarmasterMoloch I'm pretty much on the same par then, I have a RTX 4070 super, although I am getting bottlenecked a bit by my cpu (Ryzen 5 3500), but even with that my game runs smoothly in terms of fps. Your lighting seems especially good when compared to mine.
@@WarmasterMoloch Never mind, switching from TAA high to just TAA seemed to fix the issue. The setting was tripping balls and ruining my whole image somehow. Thank you for clarifying your settings though, I really appreciate it and you've earned a sub. Keep up the quality content and guides!
The only way in which I think they could is by making the Crooked Moon Mutinous Gits army bigger/better or by making them stay in Karak Eight Peaks, which would be hard from an AI perspective, as their move to protect Valaya's Sorrow is strategically correct from the AI's perspective. I actually wonder if it was something that CA put in deliberately, as a part of the whole 'Gorbad is the smartest Orc ever' theme. A chance for players to roleplay his big finkin' straight away.
@@truekinggreed8051 Did you remember to declare war on them before turn 1 ends? I did the same thing, then remembered that i didn't even declare war. It still works, post-patch.

Alright, now this is the way to do it. Thanks!
My pleasure! Glad you liked the video. :)

Can you make a video about Grimgor Ironhide capturing Zharr Nagrund von chaos dwarfs in turn 2 ? They have patched that now🤔
its completely nuts giving to gorbad the chorf skill of a freaking 40% of range.

Have you fully updated everything and bought the DLC? Squig Herd are a Level 0 unit for Black Crag.
As a Skarsnik fan, this really is making me furious. lol
Don't worry, Skarsnik can go home when we confederate him. ;o)

I'm running everything on maximum, using a 4070ti. The game might be scaling you down because of certain settings. What's your setup?

@Glizijs Glad you were able to find the problem, mate. Good to have you aboard. :)
Really good strategy. Definitely not cheese. I wonder if they will change this now that the cat is out of the bag.

Youz a proppa' Morker!!!
Yeah they are going to patch this for sure 😂
Bummer, they dont take the bait and go to the settlement...
What difficulty level are you on?
@WarmasterMoloch Legendary | Very hard. I thought it was super weird. I restarted three times, and they never did it.
@@truekinggreed8051 Did you remember to declare war on them before turn 1 ends?
I did the same thing, then remembered that i didn't even declare war. It still works, post-patch.
@funkyd3321 Yeah, I did that, too. I also disabled any mods that could potentially cause the variance.
