@@JennJagerPro We really need super comprehensive reviews of all these rotoscanners/background removers. There are many details that are just getting left off and leave nasty surprises to users. For instance, when I am rotoscanning using RotoMatic in video ProRes 4444 it will only do 1,000 frames and then stop (their support says it will do 2,000 to 2,500 then stop, but that is not at that higher resolution). That is 16 seconds in earth time. Not much, and a hassle if you are rotoscanning a background out of a 20 minute video. You can drop a keyframe at the end of that 1,000th frame, then re-select and continue on, but it is not like mRotoAI, AI Backgrounder, Keypr and maybe others that will do the entire video if that is what you want. mRotoAI slows down TREMENDOUSLY into the rotoscan run TO A PAINFUL SNAILS PACE (fully speced out M1 MBP) and actually wiser to split the clip and run each clip, in the end it saves a lot of time. Still no perfect, all-in-one solution that has no subscription, is super fast, lets you do the whole clip, is accurate and gives one the right amount of control. Early days in AI assisted rotoscanning.
You're a wizard. I 'will' be purchasing some of your classes soon. I'm a long time FCP user, but I want to learn more... and I really need to learn to use Motion better.
HI! Thanks for your very helpful videos on FCPX. Speaking of the Rotomatic plugin, could you give some more examples of how to use it, please? In fact Motion VFX offers a significant amount of plugins in addition to mRoto AI. Can we do at least something similar with Rotomatic, besides removing the background? (I already use Keyper and am partially satisfied). Thank you very much and congratulations for your work!
I tried the trial and noticed it was very finicky I’m sure in contrasted shots it would do a lot better I’m curious how it performs toe to toe in harder shots with motion vfx
Thanks for this overview - I'm one of those people who HATES subscriptions! HATE THEM! So this is a no-brainer offering for companies out there.
I like that you put a side by side comparison, both are good , its nice to see options
This is such a great overview! Love to see some more products taking rotoscoping on!
I knooowwww. It's really good too!

Great stuff! I loved the brisk pace of the video…quick, concise…spot on!

Thank you so much Jenn for the heads up! I’m hoping Apple is cooking and planning to make this feature native for the next Final Cut Pro update 🤓
Yeah, screw subscriptions. I've been looking for the best Final Cut roto plugin so thanks for this review and comparison.
I mean, if the Rotoscoping queen like this app, I must try it! Thank you!
Just yesterday I was trying to do this in FCPX. I could sort of do it in CapCut, but it was fairly crude compared to this. Thanks so much!
Love your channel. Great content. Well explained tutorials
Bummer we have to update to Sonoma. I have too many projects right now and cannot update to Sonoma, but might try it in the future..

Haha that's awesome... that's my friend Ashley Kidd... you filmed that clip? You live in Austin, Texas too?
Wuuuutttt? I snagged that off Artgrid. I just thought she looked badass.
Competition is always a good thing!
💯
Great video. Thank you Jen.
Thanks for watching!
Very cool Hot Jenn ! thanks
I ordered it how do I download it to computer
Final cut will add these features in next 6 momths
Purchased... tried it on a 50 sec clip. only applied to the first 40 seconds. is there a length limit of the clip?
their site says 30-45secs at a time
how long Rotomatic takes for remove background for 20 min video, Do you have any idea?
I tried using it but it shows "the plugin rotopluglin is not responding. this plugin will be disabled"
So nice I watched it ✌️wise 😊
Had some ok results, but I'm having issues with the plugin clogging up RAM memory (up to 48gb ram) I'm on a M3 Macbook. Anyone else has this?
Good job 👍
damn I just got Keyper ! but this one seems works better..
Keyper's still way faster, so if you're just doing people or common objects you'll get use out of it.
I need to how if speeds are the same, cause mroto is very slow
There’s a free trial, so you can test it.
It’s really fast on my M1 Max but I’m not sure what computer you have 😮
@@paulserna7191 mine is macbook pro m1pro,
For those wondering - it's $149, or about £110 at release.
Plus tax. But yeah, good price.
@@righttoexplain the nice thing about the UK at least is the tax is included in the price
And no subscription 😮lol
@@righttoexplain $149 is the introductory price, good for maybe another week. $199 after that.
Great video.
Thanks!
tried faster M1 Mac and demo worked good so needs faster processor, didn't work well on Intel Mac.
great channel for me.
Glad to hear that
Is great not to be attached to a subscription ❤
Awesome
