Everything breaks, whether it be a real car or an r/c. I own a brushed Stampede and I recently got the 8s X Maxx. I've replaced allot of parts from me bashing my stampede, mainly dumb crashed that I did. My Maxx hasn't seen allot of bashings but at one point I will get braver. I love Kevs vids because he isn't afraid to air them out but he also shows you how to toughen them up while he fixes them. This is a hobby that connects us all and I think we can learn from each other. I'm also lucky that my hobby shop does lay away so when I want or need to buy alot of parts or upgrades, they accommodate me and other hobbiest.

One of my fondest memories was going out with my dad and racing rc's. Back then we had two.
1st was a funny car w a parachute that deployed. I remember having to spin the right rear tire to get it going then pushing the button up top.
2nd was a vw beetle that would start the same way and do about a quarter mile wheelie. Good times!
The Traxxas X Maxx is a badass
Bash it, break it and wrench it(fix it) great therapy and a hell of a lot of fun.

For the battery hold down for the 5000mah zippy LiPos, you should stick a little piece of foam over top to help it fit better.

just got my first real hobby grade 1:10 rc car.....ecx torment and wanting to upgrade to 4s but took me 3 months to find a good first one and got it from a business closing sale and looking for good esc and motor for it but like to not pay to much at first....have a 2s lipo but afraid to run it in case it doesn't work well
Yea i have one of those ecx torments, ive landed all kinds of different ways at skateparks, never broke it. i did break the steering arm those when i ran in head on into a tree at 50 miles an hour. I put a hobbywing maxx 10, its the perfect 1/10th basher

I think you set the bar for how traxxas stuff should be driven, your the man. I just got my revo 2.0 and new 8s xmaxx just wondering if you use the pin system for gear mesh and what gearing u suggest my xmaxx seems too slow

I wish i could give u 2 thumbs up bro. I keep stripping out my servo on my xmaxx i have the 2085x new one. Do u think it's because i have hot racing steering bell crank and all the aluminum ? This is my 2nd 2085x and i have went threw a couple of the regular ones too ????

I got my first RC about 2 years ago, the E-Revo 1/16 brushed. Me and my dad abused the crap outta that thing, we musta spent at least $500 upgrading it after breaking countless parts. I swear we took that thing to the Skate park and treated it as a Summit or X-Maxx. Anyways I'm looking a a strong basher, (besides X-Max, I don't wanna break the bank) anyways if I could have any help tat would be great thanks!

Your videos are always awesome man. I was wondering i live in the states and come from flying rc planes. The minute i got the xmaxx v2, i just like stopped flying pretty much all together. Ive had rustlers but nothing to match the crazy things you guys do. Anyways im running 4s 6700mah traxxas lipos times 2. My Xmaxx wheelies a little bit, but nothing like how you guys run them constantly doing wheelies standing back flips. Can you tell me what gear your running like esc/and the gearing brother? I heard the max 6 esc makes it faster. I want my x maxx to just be able to do a wheelie at any speed. Anyhow your videos are dope man, if anybody could answer this for me i would appreciate it. Sorry for the ramble. Thanks.
yo dude! I run a maxx 6 and 6s 1600kv motor on 19/50 gearing, even on 6s it wheelies easy, on 8s its a beast! I think 24/46 will wake the stock 8s motor up, just watch temps. Not sure if the max6 makes it faster, I fitted it for reliability. Cheers :)

Donkey Commander I saved 200 bucks from school $1 everyday I never took food and saved but in my country rc cars are double the price and if i try to get a used I find like with 400$ and then I bought a 1/8 hsp bazooka brushless for 200$ and has many problems

Donkey Commander cheap to buy from eBay but shipping is more than a car I guess never did online shopping my friend does he say if you buy a lipo for 35$ and shipping will be 300$ so thats gotta worth more than a car

D B biking honestly I'd say 2wd traxxas slash, it's not the fastest or best handling but it takes beatings like a champ
