James Spader is definitely what makes the show. I'll just be repeating what everyone else is already saying, but he IS Raymond Reddington. In person he's seems to be just as fun and authentic as in the show. I love how its his first panel and he's so relaxed. Casually walking up and down to replace that chair while the panel is already going, and then when asked a question just pausing and staring. What more is there to say? He's one of those people where its rude to only ask for an autograph, because he deserves to be sat down with and listened to.

I have never watched James Spader until The Black List. What an incredible actor he is. Charming, ironic, emotional, evil in each episode and that's what makes him one of the best actors in the world in my opinion.
Reddington has become one of my favorite characters on television. Here it is 2020 and watching Red evolve through The Blacklist seasons has delivered sweet notes of recognition, of commonalities that resonate with us all. It's a foray into the human condition. The shrewd and cunning criminal, highly dangerous is himself discovering within himself, various types of love, depths of compassion, and a sense of fair play, and even of justice, with the right amount of twisted. The episode that aired April 17th was poignantly satisfying. Red does exactly what needs to be done, and perhaps what many of us would like to do, as he delivers his brand of justice to the greedy and negligent gun manufacturer. It was Red's finger that squeezed the trigger, but it was my finger too. Satisfaction a-la-carte.
I agree, love this show but Spader is ridiculously awesome. Sometimes Keen (aka Megan) pisses me off. Please watch his earlier work. I can provide examples if necessary (he will always be Steff or Alan Shore to me)......lol
Who would have thought way back when the pilot aired, that I would become so addicted to a T.V. show? It was purely by accident that I ran into it...because it aired after The Voice. I am so addicted and find myself wishing my life away each week, waiting for Mondays! Excellent show, excellent acting!
Same for me. It's fascinating how this show can catch someone. Each episode is so unique. You never know what will happen next. I mean you REALLY DONT KNOW. And thats something very rare. Usually you can anticipate what happens next after 5 episodes of an average TV-Show. But Blacklist is quite different. I love it. Not to mention that James Spader is a hell of an actor (I'm a huge fan of him since Boston Legal).

After years of putting off this show I have finally given it a chance this week and after finishing these first ten episodes I cannot think of another show that’s gripped and enthralled me more. James Spader, Megan Boone, and the rest of the cast have been phenomenal with these characters. Watching James and Diego during James’ monologue about what he wanted was some of the best acting I’ve seen in a long time. I can’t imagine what’s in store from here on out.

Best series that TV showed in. James Spader, actor magnificent, beautifully plays the character has a really parental and professional chemistry with Megam, Lyzzi.
It will be disappointing if Lyzzi is not his daughter, the entire series will awry.
