Note: Do NOT use olive oil on your swords or other steel weapons. Olive oil can go rancid after a while and become somewhat corrosive to the blades, same goes with oils that have organic ingredients like plant extracts and such, use mineral oils instead...

Multi tool user here, can confirm mineral oil will work. Or use a multi tool oil that is food-safe, like the one victorinox offers
I think linseed oil is used but not sure.
@@lionelwhiskerknot Boiled linseed oil works nicely because it hardens like a varnish thus preventing rust, but if you're sharpening a blade that might get in the way since it gives a thick coating, on the plus side boiled linseed oil can be used to darken steel; also it's not really food-safe, that's why it's mostly used on decorative pieces rather than functional ones...

29:11 Before iceborne, I almost never used the mantle, but after watching this animation, I started bringing it on almost every hunt. It's so good

@@cyberdark109it’s upgraded version holds two level 4 deco slots, plus a pretty fast cooldown. Yeah use it it’s pretty good if you have good decos to slot in.
@@cyberdark109Glider Mantle is super versatile, you can use it to easily dish out mount damage on monsters, and allows you to clutch claw. Plus, since its on short two minute cooldown, you can use it more often. It also allowes you to stack two +4 gems when upgraded. If you get it upgraded, make sure to have the airborne skill. Gives you a bonus 30% damage in the air!
Thanks for creating a lot of Memey but high quality content during the MH Gen 5 Era. The Arch Tempered Velkhana Video remains one of my all time favorites from you. The effort you put into that video really shows and you took the designs of both the monster and the hunters to the next level.
All of Velkhana's wide ranging attacks had great cinematography and the latter half of those closeups where Velkhana would turn to address another hunter were so smooth there were times I replayed those frames just to see how smooth they were again. There is of course the iconic approach of the 4th Hunter LS user while his allies were stuck in recovery animation with Velkhana doing something similar to the classic "Oh, you are approaching me?" pose.

As someone who got Slinger Sniper and Buffs Master (HH Main since 3U) in every multiplayer hunt through low and high rank. Back in the games heyday, I'm actually surprised that a lot of people didn't utilize or understand the benefit of it.
Also not using Mantles, especially Vitality, Rock Mantle, And Ooze mantle is a real shame.
The long drought of waiting for MH 6 is extermly painfull, when shall it end
