I'd love to see a Deathless speedrun of this where the point is to keep doing quests until you fight the Great Jagras. It seems kinda funny where the entire idea of the run is to find the first monster of the game randomly.

I think the reason Ala didn't Escaton during the Frostfang hunt is that you never aggro'd him. I think the Escas are based on how long since he was aggrod and when he last did it.
I plan on doing a full randomizer of world or rise with my friend super soon, (and i mean full randomizer) i want to see fatalis replace great jagras in the beginning

How are monster stats calculated? When you fight the Gold Rathian instead of a Low Rank Barroth, does it just have Low Rank Barroth's HP and damage? How is sharpness taken into account? I would imagine anything less than blue or maybe even white sharpness bounces off Gold Rathian, especially without wounding.
Big tip: please by any means do not treat monster hunter like any souls-like. Despite having a similar premise, both being boss rush games. Monster hunter has a few mechanics to keep an eye out for. And most of all, it's multiplayer PvE. Meaning you fight bosses with teammates.

There are also many sub games you can interact with inside of it as well. Such as collecting endemic life, hunting for large and small crown monsters and endemic life, taking pictures of special events, and a subgame of taking pictures what I and possibly many others call monster hunter snap, taking pictures of many of the games large monsters either in combat, passive, or dead/captured.
zorah magdaros gear is technically low rank cuz you can get it by farming that one quest before the transition to high rank quest by using other people. the desert zorah
