Tbh this doesn’t seem much of a game? Whoever moves/charges first wins ? With no hits back from the defender it means getting an attack in first is the only thing that matters??
This is only really an intro to the bigger game, introducing basic movement etc. Your options and tactics scale massively with unit choice, table size etc.
The idea was to show what you get in the boxes and how quickly you can get learning. in hindsight playing on a 2x4 meant that it was a bit "bulldogs charge" down the middle, a 3x3 is a much better size and would allow a bit more tactical movement, not a straight gun fight.
The game _does_ favor aggressive tactics. You can't just turtle up and hope everything bounces off you. But that said, this was a rather simplistic setup for demo purposes.
Can we have a closer look at the models themselves before the battle starts, similar to how Miniwargaming often does? That'd be great!
Excellent battle report. These ambush games are great for home play and small tables. Keep up the good work!
Great video. Great battle. Great music. Would just loved to see the minis close up before battle.
Loving Ambush week .... It gives me something to each day
Looks very fun. Certainly interested in it. Get some more energy and setup on these and you have a good chance to compete with bigger stuff!
excited to try some kings of war, seems like a perfect starting point
Great to see!
Comment for the algorithm gods
Can you withdrawal and shoot in Ambush?
@@gerrymccabe4738 we definitely know what we're doing, honest...
we did it for the drama, really
Both players were a little rusty playing KOW for the first time in a while (show it perfectly showed off how two "new" players can get gaming).
Nice Battle but some errors :)
yeah, was just a quick early morning game to show off what a game with the boxes look like, rather than a how to play KoW :)
Does the fence give shooting cover?
yes it would
(minis for deadzone please XDD)
Mantic still not getting in close to it’s models.
Gotta sell the models as well as the game. Come on guys

@@danm830The dice were in his favour plus a lot more melee units…
