    Beautiful armies, gents! And a great report, I enjoyed the longer format from you. Also much love for your owlbear

      Thank you! These are quite fun to edit so I'll try and get them in between tournament footage as much as I can.
      The Owlbear was surprisingly fun to paint despite the attention needed per feather, so I am glad someone noticed ☺️

    Really enjoyed the army introductions and army list explanations.

      Thank you! I'm forever tweaking just how much to say during army list reading, can't be too long because visually there's not a lot going on, but glad I got the balance right here

    Recently started Kings of War! I chose Elves for my first army but I was looking for a second army. After watching this and few other videos and looking on Mantic’s site, I’ve now started a Halfling army, and I’m loving it! Such a great model range, really like everything about the army! Thanks for the great video keep up the good work! 🍻

      I'm glad you enjoyed it! Dan's Halflings are really a fantastic example of what the range is capable of, and the army plays in all kinds of ways on the tabletop. It's probably the peak of Mantic Games Kings of War design both in terms of looks and rules.

      @@CaffeinatedWarlord they look amazing great work on the scheme, currently trying to work out my armies colour scheme. Easily one of the best Kings of War ranges. Can’t wait to test them out on the tabletop, looking forward to other battle reports!

    Nice report. Thanks for the vid. Playing around with gobbos myself. Hadn't thought of mindfog before (and even though you had terrible luck this game) I can see its quite handy. Those halfling are quite the force o be reckoned with.

      Mindfog is becoming my new favourite spell. If there was a Mindfog 3 going around that would be perfect. But on a wiz or flaggit it's a budget banggit (for the shattering) that can reach across the board!
      Yes, my luck is especially bad when the camera is rolling 😅

    Glad you guys had fun.
    Dan must be happy now because the video is finally out!! 😂😂

    Why Kings of War instead of Warhammer?

    • @CaffeinatedWarlord
      @CaffeinatedWarlord  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Excellent question. Personally, I enjoy how Kings of War evokes the look of a mass battles game but streamlines the actual gameplay by treating each unit as a single entity. This enables three things that I now really love about Kings of War:
      1 - Dynamic multibasing and the ability to create exciting diorama-esque unit bases. So far my favourite I have created is that for my Goblins, but I have plans for my Abyssals to be raiding a frozen village!
      2 - Quick gameplay from start to finish. Setting up and finishing games takes five minutes, and moving units around when they're a solid base with models glued right is so smooth. Nothing falling over, no movement tray lips, no unit reforming and resizing.
      3 - Smooth ruleset. With units being the main entities, things like combat and shooting are so easy to calculate. Each unit has as set number of attacks, doesn't matter about frontage or templates or how many are within an inch. Just Unit A has charged, Unit A has 15 attacks, roll 15 dice. No arguments, no other ways to interpret the numbers.
      There's more stuff but I guess I should make a video! :D

    I'm a little over half an hour in and I'm really enjoying the battle, but I think I am going to have to stop watching because the motion blur is just too much for me.

    • @CaffeinatedWarlord
      @CaffeinatedWarlord  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ah sorry, we do get a bit "shaky cam" there. I'll either try to keep the motion smoother next time or see if I can fiddle with camera settings to improve it. Thanks for the feedback and I'm glad you could enjoy what you were able to handle.
