Loved this. Need to restore some carriage seats and found this....off to buy mineral oil!! Love watching Dad and sons together!! My hubby passed at 38 6 years ago and he loved hanging with our son!!!
it's good you involved the boy in this. I spent as much time with my boys as I could. it wasn't enough. It seems they're gone before you can blink. Thanks for the vid. Good stuff.
Great video! I was laughing like Anthony was at the end. I was wondering why Anthony was so dire faced in the opening but the outtakes explained that. Cool effect with the broom handle!
The crashing noise was actually Anthony's idea. We were playing back the video, and he said I should add the sounds. Then I remembered that that was a joke I always wanted to do when I was a kid.
DANG that seat turned out real nice! Thanks for these tips. I'm gonna take your advice and try this on my boat seats. They haven't cracked, YET, but they're getting kinda hard. Probably gonna freak in the next couple years if I don't do the mineral oil trick. Thanks again.
Thanks. I would recommend doing this a few times. Once the sheen goes away, add some more mineral oil. That way it really fills up the pores. I need to add more to mine.
I would like to, but a lot has changed in the last few years, including a cross country move. Unfortunately I'm not in a position, currently, to make more videos. I will keep my channel up so people can take advantage of the videos I do have however.
Thanks for the vid, going to do this to a 67 Plymouth I had just got home, the rear seat is very brittle and ripped a bit, but the buckets had shag covers and it they look great, but I'm not sitting in it till I do this
Great video...my new "used" motorcycle has a nice old but a bit dried out vinyl seat cover and I wanted to see if it was worth trying to revive it before spending $100 and a few hours recovering it. I am definitely going to give the mineral oil a try now that I have seen your results. Love the humor as well! 👍
Careful consuming mineral oil (or even using it on cutting boards or anything that touches food) it's apparently linked to certain cancers (well, it is a refined petroleum product after all). They say fractionated coconut oil is the healthier choice. Great for rejuvenating faux leather though! Thanks for the vid.
Thanks for the video! Now that it’s 11 months in, what’s your overall take on the mineral oil? My SRT4 only has 2 cracks in the vinyl and I want to prevent more but info on mineral oil for vinyl in cars is so conflicting!
@@LambchopsChopShop yeah not sure how dry it actually is because I only have 2 small tear areas but most of these cars the seats are shredded everywhere and definitely want to avoid that.

@@AmySpivey01 Thank you for the kind words. I'll be 38 in May. I try to spend as much time with my son as I can.

Hi Bubby! Grandma Loves You!
Anthony says, "hi Grandma". 😊
Great vid! You two make a great team.
Thanks. It's kinda like trying to herd cats, but it's fun.
Glad I came across your videos while researching shocks for my 1992 F-150. Love the content. Do you have plans to start posting videos in the future?

That's awesome! Good luck. I would recommend multiple coats, and reapply every now and then.
@@LambchopsChopShop should've done this with the wagon, the seats were rough but decent, now it's just trashed

Thanks! I hope it works out for you. It may require a couple of extra coats.
I’m here for the same reason haha. Looking to see how they get stained mold out
Well- - - how did it go?

Looks good, it will do.
Good video, right to it.

Thanks. He's a pain sometimes, but he's pretty cool I think, lol.
I like the seams a little darker. I think the kids are calling it Patina. 😂 Thanks for the tips!

The Mineral Oil works pretty nicely, but mine dried out again in a few weeks. Multiple applications over time would be best.
@@LambchopsChopShop thank you for the response! I figured it would need to be treated more than once like it’s starving 😂

Hows the seat been?
It required a few extra coats, but held up pretty good.
