If you have 2 of the resistances at 70%, just put a gem for the other 3 in your jewelry. In your case an emerald, Topaz, and sapphire. These each give like 30% resistance I believe. This would take you to 70% for the three that are at 55%. Diamonds are only boosting all res by 5% each...
Exactly, he is far beyond the cap of fire/shadow res anyway (which the tooltip shows) so one diamond for him only gives 3x5%=15% res. This was a bit of an oof.
100% this ^. I was in the same situation. I had Royal diamonds in all my jewelry and I was still under the cap for certain resistances. I removed the gems from all my jewelry to see where I needed the boost and was able to add specific resistance gems back in to get to the 70% cap for all my resistances. Also, when rolling affixes on gear, don't roll away the resistance affix.
Maybe you should read the elixir tooltips. They say how much they increase your resistance cap and it’s nowhere near the regular resistance bonus they give.
Sorcerers resistances are fantastic. Doing nightmare dungeons 25 levels above me easily. Thanks to the Ragegaming lightning sorc build. The most fun I’ve had with a Diablo game.

So what’s the best resistance besides poison? Is it shadow? I feel like shadow is pretty common… What is the most common lethal attack damage type? If I’m gonna stack into two specifics, poison and what is the other to prioritize?

Diamonds are only good in the jewelry if your res stats are closely matched, which isn't usually the case. Usually 2 or more are well past the 70% cap. I'd strip those diamonds out and see where you're at. if everything is closely matched, then yeah, otherwise the single element gems are better. No point in 28% res all when 2+ stats are at 60%+ already. You have 3x 30% single element gems to work with. At lvl 90+ I was using an assortment of single stat gems to keep everything around 70%. I changed em out as I got new gear with different stats. Once the paragon board is loaded correctly you can usually use skulls for all 3 slots.
I find it you try to find a ring that has shadow res, and one with cold res, then put in rubies, emeralds, and topaz in your jewelry so that you cover every res but you greatly increase the 3 that really matters fire, poison, and lightning
Just beat Uber Duriel lastnight as Casual gamer I think it was a good fight with my 85 Human Storm Druid he didnt explode in 10 seconds but never dropped below 8 potions. Got to see most of his Mechanics and Stages wasnt bad at all. No first drop Uber unfortunately haha

But I’m actually doing okay because I have an aspect that automatically gives me 20% damage reduction for 5 seconds.

*shrugs* Not everyone plays a lot. I played one hour in Season 1, before I quit in disgust. I found out in this video you can re-roll a stat on an item. Now I just have to figure out how. I only play around 6-8 hours a week. When I have some extra time, but not enough to play the game I watch videos like this.
@conjumonblue6450 you can reroll items at the occultist in major towns and at the tree of whispers. It will cost gold and some other materials depending on the item quality.
My druid has 20k life, 10k armor, completely res capped, damage reduction from close and distant targets on my pants. And I still get one tapped by Uber Lilith
Idk my druid goes from 13-14k to 20k+ so idk if I am maxing out or not on armor and he has all at 70% resistance except 1 so I just pop a gem on my ring when needed.
You are way over the cap with 2 elements but lacking in the other 3 and then you put 3 diamonds in your jewelry? It would have been better to slot 3 different gems to target exactly those elements that you are lacking and bam you got 70% everywhere.

I have more armor then you and about the same resitances but i also have a total of 157% damage reduction in which 40% of that is based on my attacks and the rest is damage reduction i have that is "static" meaning working without skills on my sorc but nonetheless im taking more damage then a barb with lesst resistance, armor and barely any damage reduction. Sorc is broken.
I felt the same way until I started leveling my vampiric powers and planning builds around them and got hooked again😅 Gets even more crazy once you start combining them with legendaries that will start dropping a lot more once you hit level 30+. Like for Sorc, all those attack speed and cooldown reduction powers are absolutely insane for ball lightning/arc lash sorc.
I was big time hating d4 but decided to get on this season after seeing that sorcerers were good. If you do the season story and then the new blood area things you level up fast and the lightning build makes the game so fun.

100% right, I don't know how he is not seeing this. Put the gem you need to make up for the low end of your total percent missing on resistances.
The elixirs tell you how much they up the cap. The big one ups it by 6% = 76% read on the stats screen.

Can also Use Emerald in your ring. For posion reduction. Each gem provides specific element reduction. Can sometimes be better then using diamond
Three pieces of jewelry with diamonds are hugely better than three pieces of jewelry with specific stones.
Not if he has 2 resistances well over the cap. 1 gem for each element he's missing will do way more at that point

I managed to roll my gear to max out all my resistances to 70%, and focused on damage reduction. Rarely die now on my rogue.

PSA: Necro has a sacrifice for skeleton warriors that increase all resistances by 20%, it's really useful until you get BIS Gear.

Resistances didn't really matter before this season so nobody built for them until now.

I'm running t100s pretty easily on my wolfnado druid now. All resistances capped and armor gets to around 14k at full disobedience stacks.
