I took statistics at university and what most people don't understand is that buying more tickets doesn't improve your odds of winning the lottery. Each time you are pulling one from essentially the same beginning pool. You're as likely to get an uber unique on your first try as you are on your 500th unless Blizzard has shadow rigged the system somehow.
It most definitely does, it's the same as the ball theorem where you get 2 attempts to pick a black ball from a bag with 99 red balls and 1 black ball, if you got one attempt, your chances are lower than if you have 2 attempts. This is not multiplicative. Same applies with loto tickets, you can apply the theories of probability if you want to learn more. Altho your odds on each ticket will still be the same, you have more attempts.
Bro where did you go to school get a refund. one chance out of 500. If you do it 500 time you have 1 or more. 0 would be incredibly unlucky

@@CamaGoesGymthe problem with your comparison there is that there's not a set list of gear. You can just keep getting mothers ring and nothing else if your unlucky. Now you are more likely to get one the more you do, but it isn't a huge improvement, think 2 to 3 to 3.5 to 4 kind of scaleing vs 2, 4, 6, 8.

Another good way to complete whispers is running through blood tides and doing the events there. I usually complete the whispers twice before blood tide moves to another location. I found doing blood tides are faster than running around in a zone that is not either hell or blood tide. plus you get the bonus of knocking out the reputation grind for the blood tide
What makes this so painful to farm is the living steel. Have to wait forever for another helltide to spawn. It wouldn't be so bad if they respawned the same way the bloodtide event does. And ffs 300 cinders per chest? It doesn't even drop loot just make it 150 and add more chest locations jeez
It feels like a ripoff that they don't drop any loot along with the steel.
That would defeat the purpose. Purpose is to keep you playing not give you the items you want.
They should have just added 1 steel in normal chests and 2 in mystery, nobody asked for another chest.

Yeah, I agree. I play solo hardcore and the game is already so easy I don't want to dumb it down with all the ridiculous benefits the hand-holders get. I would thoroughly enjoy solo only servers but I'm not going to hold my breath.
You get 5 living steel and a chance for one chest to pop out 10 which I have seen two times. I have 3 harlequin crests and 1 melted heart. Duriel is easy and a one shot if you are set up right.
I wish there were matchmaking; the clan I'm with is just for show. The discord I'm with is based on this channel, but no one speaks; not even a response must be elitist 😂 I sense only a handful of players will enjoy this portion of the game, which might lead to a player decrease
this process of summoning uber boss sounds like a layer cake which is layer upon layer oh man hopefully I got the time to farm those uniques before the season ends.
A lot of us got to level 100 in less than a week so I am sure anyone playing can hit 100 and farm the gear they want.
Kept hearing him say throughout the video that he has heard of bosses dropping multiple mats but hasnt seen it himself, I killed Varshan while listening to the video and got 2 slick eggs dropped 😂
I feel like since they added the new bosses , my rng in anything else is absolutely rubbish. Nm dungeons now are only good for levelling up glyphs , i dont even pick loot up anymore as boss runs reward you with 925 gear.
The ipower is meaningless outside of weapons. The final breakpoint for rolls is much lower (low 800s (forgot the exact number)), so loot from dungeons is still relevant if you are looking for anything but a weapon
yea great, meanwhile the nerfed the drop rate across the rest of the game to make up for the items being targetable.
I know it’s cool that people are starting to get the Uber uniques but damn all that to have a chance just to get a unique what if you only play a couple hours like so much effort
And they're still very rare. I've killed Duriel >100 times now and not seen any Ubers.

Diablo 4 has no hope of being good until it adds a reason to play after level 100….and the only reason to play after level 100 is infinite paragon points. Nobody wants to play an ARPG with a level cap. It doesn’t make sense…the entire reason is to get loot. Loot doesn’t matter after level 70 tho lol as I have level 60 gear on my 100 Druid and still torched Uber Lilith….soooooooo
My point remains, give us a reason to keep playing past 100, or just give up on the game, out of the 6 million people who bought it, less than 60k play a day now…atrocious lol

Helltide chest a bit bugged now, its says you need 300 to open but actually you can open it with 280 only. Thats a bit time saver

Fast and Easy is an understatement ...did 100 duriel fights, found 1 super unique and thats fast...you need a LOT of materials to do this. Materials that costs a lot of time to acquire..
The first time me and my friends fought him, he gave me the doombringer uber. Succeeding runs became dry 😂

Getting living steels are trash , no one wants helltides. They’re boring , they aren’t exciting or fun. It’s a job, change where to get living steel
Never go to the desert to do wispers , do blood harvest and pick up the easy wispers from other zones 😅.

Just nuke them down. That’s all. Max your resistances, lots of damage reduction, then it is just a matter of how fast each goes down. There are no one-shot mechanics like in the Lilith fight. With the right amount of life, sources to heal, resistances and armor, you can sustain every attack they throw at you 😅
They need to either change the living steel chest in helltide to provide 5 living steel each time you open or lower the cost to summon grigoire to 3 living steel cuz all this extra bs is stupid no reason the only optimal way to run this boss should require 4 people.
300 cinders kills this whole thing for me.
In one helltide I can get 1 of those plus 2 mystery chests and atleast one other random chest so it's not that bad...

Great end game, you grind these bosses for target uniques or uber uniques only to have nothing to actually use this power on.
The best tip is farm AWAYS in group. You can do 5 times more. I get mine Shako this way

My husband AND my daughter BOTH got an uber unique the first time we fought Duriel. We have fought him several times since, so far all I have gotten is laughed at. -.-
works pretty well to have a good AoE cleaner for gathering all the helltides and whispers and then a specific boss-killer in the party that only doesn single target damage.

Compared to the blood harvest, the helltides zones have not been as dense and make getting the steel needed a chore.
Unsure of others exper here, but I'm still riding my horse between packs instead and the packs are like 10 mobs lol

Diablo 4 failed so hard man…I can’t even accept it yet 😢
I can farm 500-700 per run, but 3 times now, I have spent the last 20 minutes looking for the chest and failing. None of the online maps seem to be accurate yet, so it's incredibly frustrating. Season 2 has been great, but whomever came up with the idea of a random location for chests, and thought it would be fun to just run around looking for something, with a timer over your head the entire time, needs to be taken to the woodshed.

What I want for a Diablo game, is something where I can smash through enemies, cap my character in a week or 2, make another class or two, do it all over again, and then step away and wait for the next season. So far season two has had enough unique things to do that has just been fun play. None of the BS of doing dozens of nightmare dungeons in a row, with nothing to show for it but a few levels and some paragon.
Actually lost 2 steel chests post reset yesterday because they wouldn't show up for me even after quitting the game and relogging, let alone port to town.. insert small indie company sarcastic remark here.
You don't need to relog, just port to town and enter back immediately until you can see it. It never took me more than 3 tries. Logging off works too but it's silly compared to just porting out and in. Just go to the location with the chest and if you don't see it just use the portal out -> in.

Tbh I simply don't like all this helltide rush when they didn't even bother to make it hourly like the blood harvest, hope they patch it in mid season or something.
i have done 300+ duriels runs already and not even seen a single uber ... its literally the same 5-6 items over and over for me
I do everyday in PvP-zones my whisper as well. First event, then boss kill and last extract seed. x2 for both zones.
Gotta join some groups, after 9 kills got mostly doubles, 3 crowns, 2 amulets, 1 chest, 2 boots, 1 ring but no legs 😭
It's a 2% chance to drop an uber unique and 9 kills isn't alot, but still sorry that you didnt get what you were looking for.

I get 4 chests in helltide and 6 when its the 3 zone you just got to do events and also hit mobs jump on horse and ride to the next mobs while going to events

Now i can get 600 in 15 minutes grab both chest or 30 minutes for 4 chests and thats every 2 hours not time consuming as you think. Then after i run vamp event for the 10 whisper points cash that in and go back to nm dungeons until world boss or helltide. Not boring to me. Season 1 was boring

you can but its rare to get more than one mat at a time we did.and magic resist is the one that will max all your res if its at least 40%.and we get it the 50th video showing how to farm .look you have to play the game if you want this its that simple.if your in a clan you got it made but the more players the higher the health of the bosses solo them all its easier.and lilith has never been easier.
As someone who did farm 16 duriel... farming helltides is so bad. Wish they give more crests/make less to summon
They never said we would be guaranteed to get them. They just said we would know someone who had them. Uber uniques are much more potent than primals in d3. I often got completely garbage primals. I like this system where at least if we get something it should be pretty good.
Helltide is such a drag at this point, they need to just make it rotate like blood harvest, no more hour on hour off crap.

also for duriel/grigoire : just put 2/3 poison/lightning res gems in ring/amulet = easy max res

No it’s not. I have 0 hearts and have turned in well over 30 whispers….world tier 4 by the way. Adding these Uber bosses that require a snooze fest just to get to…really ruined it for almost every single diablo player. I haven’t seen season 2 cap out at more than 61k players….OUCH

best way to farm helltides is to logon alt class and do it over again, i always get 6 chest pr helltide

Blizzard sets it up to annoy and make u hate them cuz they don’t want u to have fun . So the pattern I’ve noticed with 95% of the player base is if u pay for mats or dupe and run your buddies through who didn’t pay for anything will get the Ubers not u . The end . Game sucks anyway and I’ve got all the Ubers except doom bringer .

This isnt a bug. You get a discount if you kill or get credit for killing the guardian that spawns with the chest. It's 300 shards otherwise.

Yes. Stupid system. I have now 2 character lvl 100 and zero uber uniques. Killed duriel like 5 times and im bored now. Have to start playing something Else.

Dude it’s a hobby. It’s okay to have a hobby lol if you feel that way maybe change it but if you have your shit together you have absolutely no reason to feel embarrassed about this. It’s a blessing to have something you enjoy some ppl have literally no hobbies at all or anything they looking forward to.
I figured out an easier way to get the steel chest to appear. Instead of teleporting out which doesn't work all the time. Just log out to the character screen and log back in. Less time and you load in at the same place you logged out and chest is there

2. Doesn't work all the time, i've wasted 10 minutes during one helltide today to open one chest. Tried logging out, tp, entering a dungeon, it's just D4's fucked servers or the code. I think it has to do with these mini-bosses that defend the chests and they bug out those chests, that's my theory. One player kills the boss and opens the chest and maybe after that it's bugged for other players. It's a mystery.

I once got double material drop from Varshan. So it is possible, but it seems really rare. I wish I had the same luck with duriel drops
I've done duriel 50 times solo, found 2 visage, 1 staff.
why would u do that solo? you could have 200 runs if u did group rotations
Due to farning have they lowered the drop rates for all uniques in nmd's? I am getting none now
can confirm that they can drop multiple shards of agony, but this only happened for me like twice out of 60ish kills
We have about 30 druiel kills so far.
i've gotten 5 living steel in 1 chest i think 3 times, and got 2 eggs ONCE within 15 runs so far. never got 2 shards though but i'd like to think 2 can be possible, just slim like the eggs. one of my friends has gotten FOUR uber items within the 15 runs we've done, i have none. rng is a $%#&@!!!!!
I understand the 2% doesn’t stack. I did Duriel with 3 ppl and one person pulled a Uber within 3 tries and 20 runs later I got a bunch of nothing
The hearts seem to drop the least for me . I have tons of the other parts for varshon which they seem to drop tons on wt3.

duriel only burrows 2x if you got good dps. if dps is low he seems to have a soft enrage. he will repeatedly burrow summoning pangs and mobs till he dies. how i know is i solo killed him several times as a barb.

@@richardarmstrong3732 if you mean the caged heart, they usually drop at the end of any legion event. After killing the final boss, wait a bit and some monsters will spawn and drop hearts (even more than one).
The 3 body parts start dropping in wt3 but the heart only drops in wt4. Thats why it seems like you barely get hearts

Having a hard time to get Gurgling Head materials, WT3...even doing quite a lot of Whispers and farming Blood Harvest.
While other material seems fine as of now.
Go to alchemist. You can convert one ingredient for a random one
Go to the alchemist and convert them. It’s random, which one you get from the chest, but you always get one back, so it just cost a bit of money until you get what you need.

Enemies level. Not your level. That’s also open world/dungeons or other events. Duriel is guaranteed unique
