    I got the 150 in January 2019. Love it! Just makes a little noise when I turn the key and wait to start the truck, that’s it. (I hope that’s what it’s supposed to do, and wasn’t installed wrong). Compared to my buddies fass 200+ , you hear the pump from the time you start the truck to the Time you shut it off lol

      Really depends on the vehicle. Our pumps are designed to be triggered off of a key on ignition source, or off of the factory ECM. If you are concerned about the performance of the lift pump just call in to speak with one of our technicians. 877-421-3187 Thank you for watching!

    Help...Newbie at diesel's and to this air dog system. How do i know after changing out filter/Seperator if i have lost prime ...which then according to the video i need to "bump" the system? Or do i just bump it regardless after install?

    • @AirDogSales
      @AirDogSales  ปีที่แล้ว

      Always reprime the system by bumping the key after a filter change.

    What are the part numbers for the replacement filters on an AD 165?

      FF100-2 and WS100. If you go to our website and find those filters, the description will have cross reference filters as well.

    Strange on my 24 valve, you dont need to bump it to prime the filters.

      Mine is the same way I can hear it priming soon as I turn the key

    I don't see any way to keep from introducing air into the tube that sticks down on the air separator side everytime the filter is changed/removed. You can see the fuel draining out of the tube when the filter is removed. This tube goes directly to your engine. When the filter is reinstalled, the air will remain trapped in the tube, even if the filter was prefilled with fuel. The only way I see around this, is to install an external valve that would allow the fuel to temporarily bypass back to the tank until the air has been cycled out. Your competitor appears to have the same issue with their design as well. And from studying the diagram, your internal bypass does not circulate fuel through this tube and therefore would not aid in removing air from this part of the system.

      Our air bleed is on the pressure side of the pump. As soon as the system primes and makes pressure, it will force the majority of the air back to the tank through the patented air bleed.

      @@AirDogSales A metal ball inside the tube that seated at the bottom of the tube that acted as a gravity actuated check valve would prevent air from leaking into the feed line during a filter change. This would also reduce the small amount of fuel that is in the tube and line from being lost as well.

    Does the water separator have to be pre-filled when changing both filters? Or can they both be primed without being pre-filled?

    • @AirDogSales
      @AirDogSales  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The system is self- priming. Just key it on and wait for the pitch of the pump to change before starting the engine.
