  • I got another laser cutting machine! xTool sent me their P2 CO2 laser cutting machine in exchange for a review-and I've got that for you today. I'm walking you through the initial projects I made with this machine, including one that cuts clear acrylic, and sharing some comparisons with working with the M1 diode laser cutting machine. Got a question? Drop it below!

Love what you did with the P2. I got mine recently and still trying to find the right settings for different materials. Struggling with birch- could you tell me your settings to cut the birch that quick and clean? Thank you in advance 🥰

Of course, I just finished cutting a bunch of 6mm (1/4") baltic birch for some cat houses. I did 100 power, 10 speed, 1 pass. For some of the designs, I dropped the speed down to 5 because they weren't quite cutting all the way through, but I felt another whole pass would be too much. Good luck!!

Great video, thank you. How do they hold up in the weather. I would think that with a little rain, these wouldn't hold up. Are they under something or do they really hold up pretty well?

We have ours inside, but I don't think xTool would recommend using it out in the elements. I sometimes carry my M1 outside to work in the open air since it is much lighter, but only on nice days! :)
