Live demo of the upcoming new IP The Last of Us from Naughty Dog studio. This dark and gory game is a departure from what Naughty Dog has done in the past.
Many people don't understand with how advanced games are like now, but it was almost unlike anything anybody had seen before, I remember seeing this 10 years ago and ordering the game right away.
Yeah you can also really see now how much of the stuff from this gameplay reveal they implemented into Part 2, because the PS3 simply couldn't do it. The ai communicating with each other, your character actually picking stuff up, you being able to dodge incoming attacks and the last enemy begging not to be killed. Some of these things was also implemented into the Remake. But still a cool ass trailer and still one of my favorite sections in any game still.
Yes! This game changed the entire gaming industry. There was nothing like it out there before it.
can really tell looking back much the gaming industry was influenced by this game and part 2's mechanics. Naughty Dog one of the best

Best game ever in my opinion
I finished it three times on PS3 plus one more time on PS4, will at least finish it one more time. Even tough I know everything about the story already it's still a pleasure to revisit and experience it all again. Looking on things from other perspectives, trying to locate things that haven't catch my eyes before, that's really fun. I'm a very critical person and it takes a lot of work and passion by developers to satisfy my expectations but hands down the story is a masterpiece and graphics are still very good, even if it's just remastered on PS4. Gameplay is good, sure there's better stuff out there but than I can only say: play it on grounded mode - it's the real survival feeling. There is no such thing as best game ever, but The Last Of Us sure is a top game, and will always be in my top 10 at least.

The last of us has gameplay that would make you think it’s a scripted sequence, but’s it’s all actual gameplay and that’s really what makes the 2 games so damn good

back then I was a xbox 360 player. But i bought a ps3 just for this game. Now almost 12 years later I am still a dedicated Playstation user.

I bet it was just a placeholder for the demo. Just a quick UI to satisfy the beta gameplay they wanted to show off. It’s always funny to see early versions of that stuff.

No Way There is no staying positive after seeing their attitude and how they dealt with the leaks. If they knew it wasn’t as bad as it is then they wouldn’t have reacted in that way and the game wouldn’t have been leaked in the first place.

THE GREAT DIEZINE can’t agree more. I had pre-order the $169 edition of TLOU2 and after I had found out about all the bullshit. How they completely fucked my hopes. I canceled. I don’t care for it anymore. I’ll wait till it’s released and watch others play and see if it’ll be worth it then.

ShArp_47 there's a reason I said industry. Witcher 3 is combined with fan votes. The Last of Us has over 190 critic awards, Witcher 3 has over 160 critic awards. Combined with fan awards Witcher 3 has over 250 and The Last of Us has over 245. I think that's because TLoU had tougher competition.

Even some of the AI aren't like this in the game. It's still one of my favorite games of all time. Great job Naughty Dog
There's still some things left in the game though, such as the animation for enemies surrendering (Aim at them after finishing a melee animation if they're still alive) , and Joel's shotgun whipping.

True it's the game but Sony owns a Naughty Dog because of the games they make. Therefore the credit goes to both. Mainly Sony for supporting Naughty Dog and allowing them to make great games.

They made some good changes in the hud in general on release but the running crouched and Ellie taking cover on walls should have stayed

back when i didnt have a ps4 i watched the walkthrough of this game. Hands down the best. Now that i do have it, im sure my experience isnt the same as people who play is for the first time not knowing whats gonna happen :( still a good game, but regret watching a walkthrough
I feel the EXACT same way! Same thing happened to me! But still, if it hadn't been for the walkthrough, you and I wouldn't have decided to buy a PS4, would we? I do regret knowing what would happen playing it myself, but it took me the video's walkthrough, and more importantly a comment thread about the ending, to make me realize I wanted to experience it for myself. If it wasn't for that comment thread, who knows--I might've just thought "well that was a stupid open ending" and given it no further thought...Yes, I kind of regret how I came across it, but if I didn't--I wouldn't even know of its existence or be a fan of it today!! So overall I'm grateful I guess. Do you feel grateful, too?

I know objectively TLOU2 is just as good as 1 but to me I just don’t love it as much because of the events of the story, even though I understand why it’s just as good of a game on paper. I think RDR1 and 2 are the only games that can compete with TLOU in terms of storytelling. I’m about to play the new GoW so that may join as one of my favorites very soon 😎

I remember watching this demo live. I was 17 at the time. Laying in my bed was suppose to be doing my homework I had it all laid out infront of me but this demo came on and I was glued to my TV. When Joel shot the guy in the head and the title popped up I remember realizing how hard I was gripping my pencil. I was HOOKED. Now I’m 25 and I just finished pt 2 and holy fuck.. was it such a great game. I waited 7 years for a second part and I can honestly say I’m happy with the outcome.
Just finished playing TLoU RM'd in PS4 & I fell inlove with this game not just with its game play but specially with the characters they made from Joel & Ellie. This is the only game I ever played with it's unique style. It has an epic ending that will stay in your mind for long.
Hopefully a part 2 will come of the series to see what happens after the ending. If Ellie finds out or what.
