I have no more fat to lose. I’m 90% carnivore since October 2023. It was tough at the beginning. Now I find it easy and my body is so much stronger. A couple of months ago I noticed that my energy is back to my youthful years. I’m 73. I feel great!
You go girl! I could have written your post, except I became carnivore June/22. The healing has been profound and the weight loss perfect although I stopped paying attention to wt. long ago. I’ll be 73 next week! 😅🎉🎉❤
66 here Carnivore since October 23. Down 35 pounds, at my healthy weight and I feel better than I have in years. My husband joined me and he’s lost 23 pounds with 7 more to go. We cannot imagine another way of eating that satisfies us. Food no longer controls our lives. We eat to live not live to eat.
Things I experienced going carnivore: 1. I stopped snoring immediately. Within 1 week of giving up all carbs and sodas, I was getting a full nights rest. I was experiencing that deep sleep I haven't had in years. 2. The achy joints I constantly had stopped hurting. I stopped needing to take pain meds to get through the day. I wasn't feeling stiff in the morning and I was no longer getting inflammation flares in my ankles and back. 3. Mood changed drastically. I no longer felt sluggish or unmotivated. 4. My skin cleared up of acne and rosacea. 5. My psoriasis decreased in severity and size with sun exposure and diet. 6. I no longer felt the need to rest after meals. 7. My IBS has cleared up completely. 8. Cholesterol and blood pressure normalized. 9. More regular erections in the morning and a higher sex drive. 10. No more allergies or a stuffy nose. 11. I can focus and get more done. 12. I only eat once a day when I am hungry. I never feel out of energy in between meals like I used to. 13. I can lift weights and gain muscle while losing fat at the same time. My waist line is trimming way down but my weight is slightly decreasing. It was impossible for me to lose fat and gain muscle on a carb diet. I was always either having to cut or bulk. 14. My brain fog has lifted. I no longer struggle to remember names or keep track of deadlines.
Amazing list! I’ve noticed some immediate improvements as well, especially with my IBS symptoms. The quick positive changes definitely help me stay motivated to continue to follow this way of eating.
I went carnivore last year after I was diagnosed with cancer Cut out all carbs… Cancer is static now I feel amazing I never weighed myself and never will Changed From 34 inch pants to loose fitting 30 inch
i weighed 601 lbs and created my own weight loss plan and so far i have lost 230lbs and have 130 lbs to go i didnt do a single day of exercise or pills nor fad diets
@@stephenlansdowne3239 thats a generalization when clearly every persons body reacts differently i am still losing weight and have minimal skin sag and I am 63 years old i will have some lose skin but at my age my skin is doing great and who am I trying to impress? no one that's who... so this is my situation and its different from everyone else that has lost a lot of weight no two people are the same.
I'm starting again today. Went on a 2wk vacation to Aruba with family members who 'disagree' with my WOE. For 15 days I was physically and mentally miserable because MY FOOD was never an option (they wanted to remind me of how good THEIR woe tastes). Yes...I was deliberately sabotaged while only being on carnivore 80 days. I'm back to muscle spasms, joint pain and kidney pain. So, today is another 'day 1'😊
Im sorry they treated you that way. Not cool at all. They need to back off and mind their business! Do whats best for you and ur body. They will never understand and thats okay. You can be healthy and they can have their terrible opinions, but dont listen to them. ❤😅
6 months from 250 to 203 pounds - sure shocked my doctor. To quote him this is the healthiest I've seen you in nearly 20 years ( I was 77 at the time). I do cheat on occasions but not too often and it usually makes my guts hurt when I do.
Nicely done. I’ve lost over 20 myself in three months. And I find there isn’t need for a measuring tape, my belt is a good indicator - i measure every day that way. *grin*
Five years of ketovore for me, not pure carni....now at 65 my pre-diabetes and the accompanying hypertension is a distant memory. GERD and snoring is no longer in my vocabulary. My body composition is what it was when I weight trained in the 90s. My weight and waist size is what it was when I walked 7 hours a day for my work in the 70s. No longer do I have digestive issues that plagued me for 15 years prior. Meat is truly the health food that many people need.
The first week on this new path ..I was starving like crazy. Plus I weight lifted 4 days a week so I was out of control with hunger. But I ate and I see the craving for snacking at night has disappeared. My husband blood sugar was very high 280's two weeks into it and he's at 180 now. Still high but it's coming down faster than any other diet we tried. Your channel is amazing. So glad my daughter found you on youtube.
I've never heard of anyone on the carnivore diet that actually got hungry. When you sit down at a meal and eat meat until you're full, allows you about six hours before you actually feel like eating again. So you must've been eating way too little.
@SteakandButterGal you think you could do Chinese versions of your videos talking about the benefits of carnivore and all the negative about how most Chinese eat? My girl is Chinese and doesn't really understand English as well and she don't listen to me. She just thinks I know nothing and thinks she's perfectly healthy when I know she's in fact not healthy at all.
I'm not overweight but I've decided to do carnivore for my health. I've dealt with bowel issues since I was a kid as well as skin problems, both of which have shown great improvement in only the first two weeks of the diet. I used to always be bloated and that disappeared the first week! This is the first time I've tried making radical changes in my diet and have it actually produce dramatic measurable results. I'm excited! I am really hoping this will eliminate my long time anxiety and depression problems too. I'm 67 and just want to know what feeling good is like!
If the people around you are not supportive DO NOT talk to them about your carnivore diet especially in the beginning. DOn't tell people what you are doing, how you feel what you are eating they will terrorize you into quitting by the second week. she is totally right. find groups and communities that will hold you and guide you and answer all your crazy poop questions - you WILL need poop support the first few months, trust me. YOU CAN DO THIS! LETS GO CARNIVORE GANG!
@@cannabearr I was a 98% raw food vegan for 2 1/2 years. Always hungry and pooping two or three times a day. Clean poops but annoying, don't get between me and the toilet. Carnivore four weeks now. Don't have to poop everyday, clean poops but way less abuse of the toilet. I got started as a vegan by first fasting on water for twenty five days. I can't recommend it enough. Lost twenty four pounds and the soreness in my hips nearly disappeared, I was seventy years old though.
So true,,, lots of ney sayers ,, always talking about how it’s not sustainable, bad for my health,,im 55 years old , noticing an increased in visceral fat!! I told myself no more being out of shape! I’m 3 wk into Ketovere,,,but mostly carnivore… all achy joints disappeared, my belly got smaller , mental foginess disappeared, just feel well all around! I never thought I was feeling horrible until I changed into ketovore,, I also able to fast naturally,,, love my butter, bacon 🥓, ribeyes and eggs,, I want to stay on this lifestyle.
57 years vegan/vegetarian here. I can't stand fatty meat, or meat with gristle. Burgers with trippy bits of gnarly - whatever- makes me gag. I have top sirloin trimmed and ground. I fry it in butter. I use salt and pepper. Today i ate a full lb of it!!. I feel comfortable in my body. And yes, it was well done. But i ate meat today, and it was good!. Ive been on carnivore with some dairy ( mostly pastures raised eggs) since before Christmas. I'll keep going. I'm doing what i can. 😊
I'm only going on my 5th month of Carnivore and I love it so far! I'm 56 years old and was 273 lbs February 5th of this year. As of today I am 223 lbs for a total loss of 50 lbs. I also take pictures every week. Big Change!
I made it a rule to never walk into the grocery store without a well prepared grocery list consisting of carnivore approved foods. Also I don't allow myself to add anything else to my cart unless it is on my list that I wrote. Making my self have rules has disciplined my mind to sticking to the carnivore diet. It really works!
I started carnivore 3 months ago and lost 25 pounds almost immediately. I still have my black coffee in the morning and a glass or two of dry red wine during the week. 63 and I feel great.
@@StellaCanada-mi4zj I sure do! My favorite meal to eat at my office job, since it's hard to keep meat at work (good quality, not processed meat) I would get a block of monterrey-jack cheese (it's huge - 2 pounds) and I just snack on it while throwing in pork rinds (just salt, nothing else, no oil). I swear it's so tasty! Lots of collagen and fats from the rinds (and tons of crunch) and so much quality fats and protein in the cheese. I go for white when I can, but I'll eat yellow.
Great to hear of your diet improvements. Black coffee is all good for Keto or Carnivore, but all studies show that there is no safe level of alcohol consumption. It is a neurotoxin, and a sugar bomb. You can "get away" with it, but you will do even better without it. I used to LOVE my big, jammy red wine every Friday & Saturday night, but have abstained for the past 8 months and don't even think about it now.
@@Trigger-xw9gq I used to drink nightly. I slowly weened myself off to only 3 days a week (2 drinks per day max) then quit cold turkey as it no longer served me. Something inside me didn't want me to fear it or avoid it no matter what. I was reminded Jesus drank with others in order to talk and share truth with them - we do what we must! The thoughts of chilling with a beer seemed nice and not very harmful especially if my wife has a drink with me and it's not the end of the day. Now I get a 6 pack every couple months and finish it in a week. If it's a nice quality beer, it doesn't usually mess me up or take away workout gains. Sometimes I'm sleepy afterward but that wears off. I understand your body metabolizes alcohol faster than any other food item, even sugar, which leads me to think it's not all that bad - after all, it takes 50 days for your body to eliminate half the polyunsaturated fat in your system, not including all the aldehydes trapped in our cholesterol and blood causing mass free-radicalization. Alcohol all-of-a-sudden, if you can control the addiction, seems not so bad.
Eliminating carbs for me was a matter of systematically removing grocery store aisles on a weekly basis. After three weeks I felt so much better that getting rid of the rest of the junk was easy-peasy!
My husband is convinced that I'm going to have a heart attack and my cholesterol is going to go crazy! I really wish that I could get all of my family on this diet! it would be so much cheaper!
Newest long term study PROVES that higher cholesterol, especially LDL, leads to longer life. Look it up and share it with the hubby. Conventional medical "wisdom" has caused more health catastrophes than I can mention!
I'm so grateful for Bella and the SBG community 🙏 I've never encountered so many supportive, non-judgemental people all in one place! Young and old, newbies and OG's, keto & carnivore, and people from all over the world- all in one place ♡
I've been carnivore now over nine months!! I feel better now than I have in many years! I'm sixty and feel and look younger. I have so much energy! I have reversed fatty liver, diabetes and diverticulitis, I've lost over 45 pounds. Thank you Bella for this helpful video. Carnivore for life 🥩💪 p.s I eat butter everyday 🤤 oh I started to oxalate dump after eight months and now use a little lemon juice in my mineral water. Fixed it up!
I've been loving the benefits of the Carnivore way. My mom and I are doing it together. We are 10 days in. I've had no gas or bloating. My energy levels have increased. I haven't had to put on deodorant in 6 days, no smell. My biggest issue was sugar cravings. I haven't had any after day 2. I was craving watermelon. But now, I am not. My mom is a 3x cancer survivor. She's coming off being a vegetarian. Just recently, she had her port removed. And she is feeling great on Carnivore. We haven't quite lost pounds yet, but we have in inches. I've decided to give up the scale for now, after listening to this information. Thank you for guiding us along the way. Also, I've had serious menstrual cycle issues most of my life. So I can't wait to see improvement with that. I've recently made other transitions to help with that, like organic cotton reusable pads. So we will see.
I’m 40, and consume red meat only. When I made the change, I had to do it “cold turkey”. Easing into it always led to relapse; I had to bite the bullet and dive in head first. Additionally, I feel that a cheat day or any kind of junk would send me down the path of failure. I had to do it and stick to it. I’m sure I’m not the only person who had to do it this way. I’m just saying that slow progress and/or cheat days may not be the best advice for everyone. Great content as always, and again, congratulations on your journey.
I agree 100% with the Scale tip. I have been carnivore for almost 4 months now. I lost 10-12 pounds almost immediately. Not only have I gained it back but the scale lowkey teases me. It'll go up 8lbs, drop, then go right back up. Even if I fast, still gain weight. HOWEVER I can fit a small/medium in shirts. Before when I was this same weight I had to wear XL. I can also wear shorts! I couldn't stand how uncomfortable I used to feel in shorts/dresses. So the fact that I can slip them on now and not feel hot and uncomfortable is HUGE. I had to buy bigger bras this week, and my man keeps making comments about how much better I feel and look. I call it butter glow because I wake up with glass skin and I don't really use skin products anymore. I used to spend so much money on skin products. I started Pilates about a month ago, I have been going 3-4 times a week. The first week I was so excited because I felt "little" I stepped on the scale and gained 10lbs and started crying. If it wasn't for my boyfriend saying "Weren't you literally just screaming about your jeans being loose the other day???" I wouldn't have kept going. Also measure you legs and arms too, There were times when I would gain and be like "Okay so I gained, but my waistline hasn't moved.... but my pants are loose?" Then I would look in the mirror and visibly see my legs look so sexy compared to a month ago. TBH if you are only eating meat and not cheating, and you feel hungry. Like "wow ground beef, eggs with butter sounds so good right now" just eat. Your hair skin and nails will improve. I've spend SOOOOO much money on false nails. Now I don't need them anymore because not only do my nails grow like weeds now, it takes great efforts to break them. My eyebrows and lashes are also much thicker. I've never thought to measure my face, but family who haven't seen me since the holidays say my head/face looks much smaller. Which explains why my glasses keep falling off. Anyways I'm so thankful for everyone in this community and those of you that share you stories and are honest about initial weight gain. Even Bella mentioned in older videos that she gained weight first and now she has an amazing figure and can eat. That's always been a dream of mine, to just be able to eat and look Hot. If I want to work out I will, but its not a requirement. Its literally becoming a reality regardless of what the scale says. I'm sure once my body is done building muscle with my current intake and everything heals, the bad fat will melt off like butter (lol)
2 months in and I went immediately head first cutting all carbs and sugar. I had no cheat days and was determined to get the healing started. I went to a social gathering and decided to sip a little whiskey, about half a shot....the headache was so painful, my inflammation in my psoriasis flared up the next day. I used to drink a lot (wine everyday) but I haven't felt the need or want to drink. After that headache I really don't want to anymore. I don't miss the sugar or carbs and I really like the way I feel now.
My husband and I are one year in and we choose treat ourselves to a weekly keto meal-usually a roast dinner (UK style), or a kimchi fried faux rice. Nothing too crazy, but it keeps us from feeling like we are missing something. We have lost 50 kg between us (plenty left to lose), but I managed to heal a ruptured appendix, edema, and high blood pressure, while he has nearly reversed type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, and no longer has low mood issues. Slow progress on the outside has been huge changes on the inside. 😊
@@Tonisuperfly Not intentionally, but yes. I went 9 days thinking that I had eaten a bad hot dog. My fever didn't start until day 4, and by then I was feeling a bit functional. By day 9 of diarrhea, 5 of a light fever, and the constant wooziness--I went to the dr. That was a long day and by that night I was in the hospital being told there was too much infection to even try to put in a drain let alone remove the appendix. Long story short, I stuck to carnivore with my husbands help for the 5 days I was in the hospital. I was on very strong IV antibiotics, but every day they were surprised at how well I was doing and how I was always smiling (I told everyone about carnivore lol). They sent me home with 21 days of antibiotics, and bed rest. I received a colonoscopy 4 days after my 45 birthday that revealed I was fully healed and just a tiny bit inflamed. Another 4 months of being careful and I was back to normal! :D
@@Senergy20 wow, that’s crazy. Ruptured appendix can kill you. Did they think you were going to die? Amazing tribute to carnivore though… I always wondered if the appendix can be healed. Took my friend in a couple of months ago when his nearly burst and they took it out. They said it had ruptured in ultrascan notes but in the post op notes they said no perforation
@@Tonisuperfly They didn't talk about it as I might die, but I was told by the doctor at A&E (ER) who originally assured me I was in too good of health for it to be appendicitis and it was really a UTI, when he picked me up to move me to a bed after my CT scan results came back, that he had no idea how I was up walking around and talking like I was as my appendix may have fallen off in the infection. He then told me that I owed the doctor at the office a thank you, because he requested just the right blood test to discover the inflammation markers (CRP) and he probably saved my life. He also apologized for minimizing what I was going through and put me on an IV of paracetamol (Tylenol) which is all I had been taking over the 9 days due to my BP meds not allowing Ibuprofen. I am sorry to hear about your friend. I am sure it was a relief that it hadn't perforated though. Less complicated is always better.
I started this strict carnivore diet 8 months ago and I have lost 60 lbs. It was totally not dificult for me at all. I first stopped using sugar, then I stopped eating bread. I found that its not food and its just sugar. It doesnt mold, so if it doesn't mold it aint food, cause food molds. And it has human hair in it. Dont believe me,? google does bread have human hair in it? Then I started eating one vegetable with meat. I did this gradually without direction, then I went completely strict carnivore and a lot of things have changed in my body. Its helping my BP go back to normal. I have more energy and i believe it will reverse my hypothyroidism. I believe it is reversing my kidney damage. My liver enzymes are back to normal.Yay! I feel better. I'm down to 150 lbs and I'm not done yet but grtting there. Thank you, i watched a video by Dr Ken Berry and that really encouraged me! ❤❤ keep doing what you're doing! ❤❤
Chop your beef fat up into small chunks, place in fry pan with some water put lid on it @ med heat ,watch carefully flipping as necessary. Cook until your tallow(oil) has rendered out. Pour oil into a Mason jar. Then all the bits left salt and pepper them and crisp a bit longer in fry pan. These are a delicious snack and give you the extra fat you need. The water really helps render it more quickly and for those who want the tallow for your skin, the water helps remove beef smell. ❤ Thanks Bella❤ Blessings from 🇨🇦
Carnivore 6 weeks tomorrow love your fantastic videos and wisdom, don’t way myself but I’m pretty sure I’ve lost 20 pounds already and feel my blood pressure is down ty for your pearls of wisdom ❤
DAY 31 on carnivore. I want to personally thank you, Bella. You literally are the reason why I've begun this lifestyle. It's the best decision ive ever made. I still experience a few negative effects and cant wait until its over( energy eb and flows, bathroom issues😅, occasional headaches). But the overall energy is up, bloating no longer occurs, and just feel more alert. Thank you!❤🙏
I’m really grateful to be a small part of your journey. All I want ever is to spread the word so that just maybe, someone like you is out there and can live a little better if you knew this was an option. So I couldn’t be more thrilled for you and you’re SO welcome- I make these videos for people like you!
Thank you Bella. In October I quickly lost 20lbs. I moved to another city and gained almost all back in two months. I am home like you said,”when my body feels safe”, I’ll begin again to lose. Thank you.
Take those before pictures even if for your eyes only. I don't really have any because I ALWAYS had someone standing partially on front of me in all of my old photos. I was embarrassed by my size. Now I wish I had those photos. I did keep a pair of size 26/28 pants as a reminder. I'm now an 18/20 and don't hide behind anyone in photos anymore.
Starting my second week of going carnivore. I had a cheat meal on Saturday and it made me soooo sick, that’s when I realized how good being carnivore makes me feel. Thank you for the tips!
i used to drink coffee with sweetener, dropping the "sweetener" wasn't really too hard tbh, i like coffee and it's still coffee without the sweetener and i don't really think dropping coffee altogether is necessary, there's a blue zone in costa rica that drinks like 6 cups of black coffee every day lol
She'd be referring to the glycogen stores in muscle meat (ie chains of glucose). Beef does have carbohydrate but not in enough quantity to cause problems. Some people blame the glycogen for when carnivores are not in ketosis
keep in mind "nutritionist" only requires a bachelor degree, no med school or licensing whatsoever dietitian also only requires a bachelor, but also requires certification and license, but the process to get certified actually isn't "more education", it's just 1200 hours of internship, you can easily work 1200 hours telling people what to eat and still not learn anything more from when you graduated, not really a job that allows you to learn from experience so yeah tl;dr, nutritionists and dietitian aren't really the best voice on what to eat as ironic as that may seems, a proper doctor would have a better opinion in nearly any case, you usually need a phd minimum to hold any real academic opinions
@@tonisalbei4932 I might have to give it a try then. Up to now I'm the most basic carnivore out there; I just put steak in a pan with Ghee and cook it shortly hot on both sides.
The other day we had a road trip and I had a captive audience in the car. My daughter-in-law, grandson and me. I thought I was playing this video for my daughter-in-law but it turns out that my grandson 7 years old was listening very closely to what Bella was saying because he went home and told his sisters how to be carnivore. Now they're asking for butter and meat! The girls are 3 and 5. Bella has affected several lives with this one video!
I’ve been on this diet for almost a decade, so it was interesting watching you and other newbies come along and have to figure things out. The dairy the coffee, it’s funny, but I’m glad that you’re helping others and following the path.
Bella, there are almost no oxalates in lemon juice!🍋 Lemon juice is used bcs of the citric acid that helps to make the body more alkaline since oxalic acid makes it more acidic. If someone wants to add back some oxalates to halt dumping Sally K Norton recommends to take 2 bags of black tea and steep it in hot water and drink it. I had to do that myself last night since I had arythmias again, probably from dumping.🤪 And it eased up!
Oh, I was saying that it may help with oxalate dumping symptoms, and not that it has a lot of oxalates! ❤️ This is precisely what makes it one of the best condiments for carnivores :)
@@CaptainHieronymusLex Lemon juice has an acidic pH before it is digested. However, once metabolized by the body, it produces alkaline byproducts. These alkaline byproducts can make your urine more alkaline.
I have been a “sprinkling” carnivore for about one month. I feel pretty good. But I miss fruit like watermelon and peaches so I sprinkle those in, and also broccoli. I’m a work in progress. I’m feeling good mentally. No brain fog and no longer reaching for coffee to keep my energy up. I’m impressed with the difference
Whatever works for you is great, keep doing it. But your diet is not carnivore. You might not even be in ketosis if your total carb intake from the fruit and vege you’re eating is more than 20-50g. There’s no such thing as a carnivore diet which includes fruit and veges.
@@jackie-louleask1276 I’m getting stronger thank you for asking. I’m never gonna give up because I can feel it changing me on the inside my coloring is better. I have better energy so I’m definitely improving God bless PS I’m doing the 90 day challenge and I am 65 days in. Less inflammation when I do get inflamed it doesn’t last as long. Seems like dairy inflames me just some kinds. It’s got to be clean.
I’m new to all of this. What a great channel Bella. In ten days I’ve lost 7 pounds, and I don’t feel too many cravings. These are great tips that will help me to stay on track. ❤
I also tried vegan for about 6 months and it was very expensive and very difficult and my body felt horrible during that time. My reflux was out of control and I had to double up on the meds for it. I felt bloated and had headaches every day. When I am doing keto or ketovore I do not have reflux and hardly every have a headache, not to mention that I am not bloated or gassy. So these experiences have told me all I need to know
I've gone healthy 3 years ago. No sugar, chemicals, nothing unnatural on my skin (soaps, lotions, makeup). My biggest problem was bloating and gas, which meant my intestine is not happy at all. A while ago, I was dreaming eating lots of butter with celtic salt on top. I started getting interested in carnivore diet more and more and guess what ? One meal a day, almost zero bloating and gas. I feel better.
Thank you for the new portion of fatty knowledge! 🌼🌼🌼 I never thought I could eat a cube of butter, and today I eat one and a half or two a day. Important - you don't get fat from fat. You get fat from carbohydrates, converted to fat. Best regards! 🙂
I have found that glycine is a great sweetener in my bulletproof coffee, which consist of 1 stick of unsalted butter, half cup of heavy cream and two scoops of instant coffee. I add 5- 1tsp scoops of powdered glycine into it, and it makes it nice and sweet without any real or fake sugars added.
I started eating carnivore in December of 2022. In the last year and a 1/2 I’ve had so many people look at me like I was crazy after I would tell them and a lot of would tell me I was going to have a heart attack if I kept eating like that. I was around 210-215lbs, I’m hanging around 180-185lbs now. I used to get heart flutters and a racing heart every few months….after carnivore I don’t have that issue anymore. I used to get weak and hangery around lunchtime everyday….not anymore, now I usually don’t even eat lunch, just because I’m not hungry. Around 1 or 2pm I used to need a caffeine boost to keep going, I hated to admit I needed a nap. Not anymore. The need for an afternoon pick me up is gone now that I’m eating carnivore. I’m not extremely strict, I do eat just a few choice vegetables, and I like avocados. My main goal is to stay close to a carnivore diet but even if I eat something different it’s still not highly processed food. Well, except for bluebell ice cream 🍨…..which I’m really trying to stop eating 🤷🏼😂🤦🏼♂️
I eat 100% grass fed beef because it's cheaper. One pound of grass-fed beef is nutritionally equivalent to 3-4 pounds of big store generic beef. I'm fuller on my grass-fed beef and eat less. The generic beef doesn't satisfy too long so you must eat more. The goal is to get the most nutrition from the least amount of food. Support your local rancher, you'll both benefit from the relationship.
Well, I know it to be true when it comes to the age of animals. I have some sheep and chicken which I don't raise for the meat but still eat whenever one dies. I remember being real surprised when I just didn't want to eat anymore, 2/3 of my normal portion still remaining untouched on my plate. Didn't have the same experience with grass-fed beef however so I chalked it up to the age of the meat, figured the quality of nutrition didn't matter much if the time frame is too small to make a difference. Either that or my butcher is cheating me
Awesome content, thank you SBGal. I’m 6 days carnivore and loving it. I only eat 500grms beef and 3 eggs once every 24 to 36 hours. I don’t feel hungry at all, no cravings for sugar or anything. I drink 3 black coffees b4 2pm amd carbonated water only. Feeling amazing.
Been on this for 3 months now not going back to carbs and sugar but still need to lose fat started walking and will start weights this week. Still feeling OK but only eat once or twice a day do fasting once a week. Still feel like am not eating enough. Will still stay on this way of eating. Hopefully will lose the fat and be healthy. Thanks for your vids.
I one time heard someone say, "eat until it doesn't taste good". I thought this was a great way to tell how full I am. I didn't have a shut if switch, so it makes sense to me.
Hi Bella! It’s been awhile sence I’ve checked in… I’m loving Carnivore life… I still have pain, but nothing like it’s been… I have eaten 2 to 3 meals a day for the last 8 months. Today I woke up and wasn’t hungry it 2 pm and I ate some 6 eggs. But I can’t eat another bit.. so I did A 22 hour fast and didn’t even plan it.. that feels good! I want to fast… but when it brings on my body being in pain… I’m never sure if I can fast… love u for all u are and do. Thank u!
Hope you are still at it. You owe it to yourself to give it a fair shot. I am nearly 6 years at it, 62y old. It’s great. God bless you and your family on your journey.
Fantastic, extremely well done presentation. Not only GREAT carnivore content, but this video should be exhibit A in a How to Make Great TH-cam Videos textbook. Thank you! Subscribed. Bell notification set to ALL!
All wonderful tips which we also practice as hubby and I continue our Carnivore/Low carbs/Ketogenic lifestyle for almost two years and counting! We are in our mid 60’s and are still recovering from plant-based diet. Thank you! One subtle yet profound thing to call out for your reference: Be aware of the words you choose to use. Words can work like a spell, which is why spelling matters in the English language. Note that human subconsciousness and unconsciousness might be working against you and those you intend to help. Though why use “brutally honest” when brutality is nowhere near what you intend to convey?!
Thank you, Bella for all your advice. My name is Arabella and only 2 people in the world call me Bella! 😁 I have been 98% plant-free since Jan 15 2024. I still eat chicken and pork, and some fruit. I am trying to eat more lamb and my beef is not anything fancy, just grocery store cuts. I am not eating enough salmon because the local sources all seem to carry farm raised, even my H-Mart recently changed to farm rasised salmon so my beloved sushi grade salmon is no more. I sense I need more Omega 3. Should I take a fish oil supplement? My wounds arent healung as fast as I would expect and I am not sleeping well. Some of my successes, though: My 20 year back injury and residual.pain is gteatly improved. I feel like my teeth are brighter somehow, my vision seems to be getting better, my memory is vastly improved, my energy is high and consistent all day when before, I had that chronic fatigue thing around 2 pm. I never drank coffee, ate sugar nor was on SAD but as an Asian, to have gone 5 months without rice or noodles is a feat! Thank you all for contributing to out mutual success!
Thank you, Bella for all the advice. I needed to hear the advice to eat any kind of meat, especially that which we like to eat. Much as I want to eat beef all the time, esp grass-fed or the choice cuts, they are not always available, and if they are, they're very expensive. Greetings from the Philippines.
Good for you Dana Rose! Your story is much like mine. When healing becomes more important and more obvious than weight loss as a goal, you are there! Did I tell you I was able to kick 3 out of 4 heart meds plus an antidepressant? My body just began rejecting them and I went with it! I’m so much healthier now it is amazing and the weight has all come off too. Keep it up! 👍🏻 😊
Thanks SBG... I am a 14 month Carnivore after being a Keto and Ketovore for 5 years. My weight dropped the first 8 months on Carnivore, but in a complete stall the last five months and no weight loss. My blood pressure, glucose and keytones have really improved, about 85% so far and thats really good for me. I took a break for the last 3 days because I needed to, and by break I mean adding back some Keto. Today back on carnivore and feeling good. Started swimming also.
animal fat is the best for memory, focus, feeling cool, kidneys work better : in 2022 I was malnourished and the missing component was fish oil : it made my brain switch ON. by feb 2023 i was a new man.
4 SCRAMBLED EGGS, 2 TABLESPOONS OF ORGANIC COCOA, GOOD SPLASH OF COCONUT CREAM, 2 TABLESPOONS OF NATRUAL HONEY. Into a blender until creamy/moose. Into the fridge for a few hours. Beautiful. This is my daily treat, on top of two meals : Sirloin steak cooked in beef dripping, then two eggs cooked in the juices, twice a day. Feeling great. Hope you try the chocolate moose !
Went to the store to grab detergent and ended up eating ONE Hershey kiss on day 2. Had a migraine for three hours. Never again. Update: ate a peanut butter and elderberry jam sandwich on day 4. Woke up with a terrible cramp on my left calf. It still hurts 20 hours later. I’m kinda loving these failures because they cement in me that this really is poison out here Update 2: I’m starving. I can’t stop eating meat. And fat. I look at any sweets and it makes me nervous and turns my stomach. I kill cravings with raw milk and raw cheese, and 78-100% cacao bars with salt. I have my sugar slips from time to time but it’s less now than before. I feel focused and I’ve lost about 12 pounds. I just can’t stop eating brisket and pichana steak
I ate a low carb tortilla and thought I was dying the next morning or an aneurism 😅 worst splitting headache and so much inflammation!! Horrible but a great reminder!
I have Monk Fruit sweetener and it is very nice - I bought it from Bulk Supplements and I use it in my coffee and tea. I did not buy it from a grocery store as they add in the bad sweeteners - Bulk Supplements sends pure Monk fruit, unadulterated. I don't know if it will work for you - but it keeps me sane!
Same. My taste buds don't like them and neither does the rest of my body. I'd honestly rather avoid all sugars and faux sugars completely. I don't even really miss it that much...something I never thought I'd say.
3 Questions: 1) Can we still have bullet proof coffee? 2) Are there any supplements we should/shouldn't take? 3) Is Stevia acceptable to sweeten coffee?
Realizing I can change my mind later, I am still having coffee and Stevia because it makes the transition to a better lifestyle feel less like "discipline"
I'm glad I listened to this video this morning. I was getting discouraged because I've gained back 2 pounds of my 6 pound loss which made no sense to me. I'm only 3 weeks into carnivore.
2 pounds are not a gain. It’s just waves. Ups and downs. I still have these waves after 9 weeks and I totally agree with Bella that the scale is not useful. For me it’s frustrating and bringing my motivation down. Fitting of clothes, shopping and measuring are what brings motivation. 😊
I thought I was the only one 😂 I hate the texture of ground beef! A burger patty maybe but just a side of ground beef (or really any ground meat) gross!
out of sugar , did my first 36 hour fasting, in the next 2 weeks in gonna cut almost all the carb food im eating , so it have take me 3.5 month to get there
Good, very practical and to the point advice. One year on carnivore, well, almost, I do allow lemons, ginger, garlic and whole olives in my diet, I'm the thinnest I have been in thirty years, but weight was never the biggest point. Biggest point was always to heal the body. Among the biggest health problems I managed to resolve in this one year were very high blood pressure, prediabetic condition, GERD, gastritis and a bunch of smaller problems. Just getting rid of this bouquet alone was worth it, as I thought I'll have to live with those conditions for the rest of my life. Neuropathy in my feet also improved by about 50%, but I can't say it is healed. Also vision problems are still here, but I don't notice a rapid decline as I had before. So all-in-all carnivore diet is not a magic bullet, but probably as close to it as we can get!
Glad to have found your page. Officially on carnivore diet on July 1st of this year. Due to debilitating menopause, was convinced to try this diet by a friend. Despite having to cheat on my birthday this month, I still managed to lose a total of 8lbs. My mom noticed my face “thinning out”. She meant lessening of swelling. 😂🤣😂 I am hoping to convince my daughter and son-in-law to join me in this journey. ❤️🙏🏼❤️
Hi Bella! I bless the day that I came across your videos. I am now on my 2nd week on carnivore diet and is now experiencing the hair loss you mentioned. What shampoo can you recommend while I'm on this transition? Thank you for everything that you've done to make us healthier.
Regarding milk… I’m actually preferring Fairlife milk to raw milk… It’s one quarter the price, but it also has half the carbs, twice the protein and zero lactose. I can drink a 10 ounce glass of Fairlife milk and it’s only 8 carbs.
I have no more fat to lose. I’m 90% carnivore since October 2023. It was tough at the beginning. Now I find it easy and my body is so much stronger. A couple of months ago I noticed that my energy is back to my youthful years. I’m 73. I feel great!
I love hearing this! ❤
Freaking awesome!
That’s Awesome!!!
Things I experienced going carnivore:
Great to hear! What is your age?
Been on the carnivore diet for 7 months now and this is pretty much my experience as well.
@@DrBateson1 41
I also stopped snoring and I have no idea why.
Amazing list! I’ve noticed some immediate improvements as well, especially with my IBS symptoms. The quick positive changes definitely help me stay motivated to continue to follow this way of eating.
I went carnivore last year after I was diagnosed with cancer
Cut out all carbs…
Cancer is static now
I feel amazing
I never weighed myself and never will
Changed
From 34 inch pants to loose fitting 30 inch
Appreciate your comment. Im curious, did the cancer go into remission ??
Incorporate prolonged fasting and it will be gone!
All the best to you stranger 🙏🏽

@alaskacanoe That's amazing! Congratulations! 🎉🎉🎉
wow wow wow! so happy for you and thanks for sharing!
i weighed 601 lbs and created my own weight loss plan and so far i have lost 230lbs and have 130 lbs to go i didnt do a single day of exercise or pills nor fad diets
Wow 😲 That's amazing. Keep up the good work. Walking is fun too. 🎉 I'm going to try this diet.
No offense but it’s important to do low weight high rep movements when losing that much weight to minimize skin sagging
You are an inspiration!!!
Wow❤.... Thanks for sharing
So, today is another 'day 1'😊
Read the book Boundaries
Im sorry they treated you that way. Not cool at all. They need to back off and mind their business! Do whats best for you and ur body. They will never understand and thats okay. You can be healthy and they can have their terrible opinions, but dont listen to them. ❤😅
This is why my diet is no one else’s business!
@@luchiayoung Joseph Nyugen - Boundaries? if yes, AMAZING book and amazing Author. Life changing reading.
We all tumble off the wagon now and then, for whatever reason. What's important is that you climb back on and keep going! :)
6 months from 250 to 203 pounds - sure shocked my doctor. To quote him this is the healthiest I've seen you in nearly 20 years ( I was 77 at the time). I do cheat on occasions but not too often and it usually makes my guts hurt when I do.
That is awesome. Thank you for sharing
I had some breaded&fried catfish months ago, and still remember that pain like it was 30 minutes ago. It’s HORRIBLE
From the breaded part or the catfish?@@connerhladik4364
Nicely done. I’ve lost over 20 myself in three months. And I find there isn’t need for a measuring tape, my belt is a good indicator - i measure every day that way. *grin*
....after all we're only human...
Meat is truly the health food that many people need.
same here
And the conventional "experts" and tptb want us to eat plant food and plant burgers and no meat unless from crickets, grasshoppers. 🙃
So happy for you and your husband! Thank you for your support too. ❤️
First week here too! Already lost 7lb and I’ve finally lost food cravings. Lots of energy, I hope this feeling stays. 😅😊
@@SteakandButterGalyou are definitely not honest at all like how ya’l had plants and fruits and guacamole and seaweed sheets at baker’s party lol
Go get it !
I trust Bella as a reliable source of carnivore knowledge delivered in an easy-to-understand package. Keep up the great work, Bella.
Wow, thank you Dr. Hampton!! That means a lot. 🙏🥰
Meanwhile raw food people not worried about their poop 😋
Except for the fact this diet is supposed to be temporary…
What poop suport? Laxative?
57 years vegan/vegetarian here. I can't stand fatty meat, or meat with gristle. Burgers with trippy bits of gnarly - whatever- makes me gag. I have top sirloin trimmed and ground. I fry it in butter. I use salt and pepper. Today i ate a full lb of it!!. I feel comfortable in my body. And yes, it was well done. But i ate meat today, and it was good!. Ive been on carnivore with some dairy ( mostly pastures raised eggs) since before Christmas. I'll keep going. I'm doing what i can. 😊
Eat as much butter as you can for the loss of fat in the meat! Best of luck
I have a hard time with the gristle and fat too. You aren't alone.
When I eat and the part I don't like I give to our dog.
@@heidiniit404I'm sure your dog is very appreciative!
FYI eggs aren’t dairy.
I'm only going on my 5th month of Carnivore and I love it so far! I'm 56 years old and was 273 lbs February 5th of this year. As of today I am 223 lbs for a total loss of 50 lbs. I also take pictures every week. Big Change!
Brava! Big change and huge achievement. Might I add that it would also appear that your body recomposed very quickly 😳
Great idea!!!
Smart thinking. Others will benefit, I am sure.
My rule is to never use a grocery cart. I walk in, grab some meat & some eggs & check out. So fast.
@@AvgJoe0007😂👍🏼
My rule is eat before going into a grocery store. Never shop while hungry! 📝 The list idea is good though. 👍
I started carnivore 3 months ago and lost 25 pounds almost immediately. I still have my black coffee in the morning and a glass or two of dry red wine during the week. 63 and I feel great.
@@waynenoll1967 great
Do you eat cheese and drink milk?
Excellent strategy!
Nice to walk into Supermarkets like royalty ..... past fresh produce straight to the meat, and straight out the door without looking left or right😂❤🤣

MANY THANKS and GOD BLESS YOU!!!! DAY 22 strong! No sugar or weed and no cravings! Much Gratitude!!!
I love that. Focus on healing first, weight issues are for later.
@@belhumeur84 I agree! Adding back any sugar as in cheat day gets me off track.
Me too!
I tried the egg yolk sauce with raw steak-it was AMAZING!!!
Don’t knock it til you TRY it!!!
Thank you for the awesome advice!!!
You healed a ruptured appendix?
Thank you for your support ❤️
I’d love to see the video on body recomposition and fat loss, etc! Thank you for all the helpful tips in this video!
Yes please do a video on fat loss & recomposition! Thanks Bella!
Bravo!!! Good for you!
@@RosemaryStudy Thank you!
Thats so awesome!! I understand that feeling so much, very happy for you
@bre6651 Thank you!
Congratulations!
Great video, really appreciate the value packed content. 5 years and somehow you always get better. Cheers to carnivore and keep up the good work
Starting my second week of going carnivore. I had a cheat meal on Saturday and it made me soooo sick, that’s when I realized how good being carnivore makes me feel. Thank you for the tips!
So far I cannot go without my coffee with cream and stevia. I still think I'm way ahead of the game.
Me either!
At about month 8 I still had hand joint pain. I quit coffee and that is history now at month 12.
@@fiskfarm Thanks for your reply! Glad you are better!
i used to drink coffee with sweetener, dropping the "sweetener" wasn't really too hard tbh, i like coffee and it's still coffee without the sweetener
and i don't really think dropping coffee altogether is necessary, there's a blue zone in costa rica that drinks like 6 cups of black coffee every day lol
@@DDracee Maybe I'll get there one day!
Very happy that I am part of the SBG community. I'm learning so much and feeling very encouraged. Highly recommend it!
I just had a "certified" nutritionist almost in an argument with me, saying that even beef has sugar in it. I didn't want to turn into an argument.
I had a GP say I should still eat vegetables.
A lot of them work with and for big pharma, so they need people to get sick and buy thousands on meds.
Sugar has beef in it
She'd be referring to the glycogen stores in muscle meat (ie chains of glucose). Beef does have carbohydrate but not in enough quantity to cause problems. Some people blame the glycogen for when carnivores are not in ketosis
keep in mind "nutritionist" only requires a bachelor degree, no med school or licensing whatsoever
dietitian also only requires a bachelor, but also requires certification and license, but the process to get certified actually isn't "more education", it's just 1200 hours of internship, you can easily work 1200 hours telling people what to eat and still not learn anything more from when you graduated, not really a job that allows you to learn from experience
so yeah tl;dr, nutritionists and dietitian aren't really the best voice on what to eat as ironic as that may seems, a proper doctor would have a better opinion in nearly any case, you usually need a phd minimum to hold any real academic opinions
Buying an Air fryer was a game changer !
You Air Fry steaks? Whut da!

My boyfriend gave me one. It changed my life. I think I’m gonna marry him 😂
@@tonisalbei4932 I might have to give it a try then.

I went off the rails and had a med ALL meat pizza for my 63rd birthday last Saturday. Damn it, it was good. Back on track again.

Yes, but you said " bcs it has some oxalates....it can smooth out those dumping symptoms".
Anyways, very good that you recommend it! 🍋💕🎉
How does citric ACID makes the body more ALKALINE?
@@CaptainHieronymusLex Lemon juice has an acidic pH before it is digested. However, once metabolized by the body, it produces alkaline byproducts. These alkaline byproducts can make your urine more alkaline.
A bigger concern is that lemon juice has a lot of sugar in it. Ken Berry advises against it because of that fact.
I’m impressed with the difference
fruit meat and broccoli is miles better than standard processed food diet. keep going!
Whatever works for you is great, keep doing it. But your diet is not carnivore. You might not even be in ketosis if your total carb intake from the fruit and vege you’re eating is more than 20-50g. There’s no such thing as a carnivore diet which includes fruit and veges.
I eat a watermelon every 3days it's summer in 2 more weeks I'm adding some veggies into the mix
I’m here to heal RA. I’m sticking to it 24 7. I want to thrive.
How is it working for improving your RA? I have a friend that might benefit from the carnivore diet
What helped me most with the cravings was the butter. A bit of butter helps immediately. Thank you, Bella.
I never thought I could eat a cube of butter, and today I eat one and a half or two a day. Important - you don't get fat from fat. You get fat from carbohydrates, converted to fat. Best regards! 🙂
You’re so welcome and I’m SO glad to hear that you’re keeping yourself properly nourished. Best to you ❤️
I have found that glycine is a great sweetener in my bulletproof coffee, which consist of 1 stick of unsalted butter, half cup of heavy cream and two scoops of instant coffee.
WOW
I never thought it would make a difference. 🤔🤔
I think I'll try this.
Thank you!!
I don't think that's true mate .
Either that or my butcher is cheating me
That’s not the case in my country.
All beef is grass fed, cows are grain fed the last weeks of life. The nutritional difference is not that great. Just eat meat.
Thank you Bella. Always down to earth and simple answers to the carnivore life.

Thank u!
You can buy a chuck roast, beef trimmings and liver grind it up to make ground beef.
Hope you are still at it. You owe it to yourself to give it a fair shot. I am nearly 6 years at it, 62y old. It’s great. God bless you and your family on your journey.

One subtle yet profound thing to call out for your reference:
Be aware of the words you choose to use.
Some of my successes, though:
My 20 year back injury and residual.pain is gteatly improved.

Eat whatever fresh meat you crave, can afford, and have available near you.
Good for you Dana Rose! Your story is much like mine. When healing becomes more important and more obvious than weight loss as a goal, you are there!

I’m kinda loving these failures because they cement in me that this really is poison out here
Update 2: I’m starving.
Can NOT stand Artificial Sweeteners… rather be Unsweetened ❤
I have Monk Fruit sweetener and it is very nice - I bought it from Bulk Supplements and I use it in my coffee and tea. I did not buy it from a grocery store as they add in the bad sweeteners - Bulk Supplements sends pure Monk fruit, unadulterated. I don't know if it will work for you - but it keeps me sane!

3 Questions: 1) Can we still have bullet proof coffee? 2) Are there any supplements we should/shouldn't take? 3) Is Stevia acceptable to sweeten coffee?

I'm glad I listened to this video this morning. I was getting discouraged because I've gained back 2 pounds of my 6 pound loss which made no sense to me. I'm only 3 weeks into carnivore.
Trust me, do it for at least 3 months to see a real difference. It takes a while to adjust to burning fat instead of glucose for fuel.
Agree, I hate the taste of ground beef but steak and eggs on the other hand yum yum
I thought I was the only one 😂 I hate the texture of ground beef! A burger patty maybe but just a side of ground beef (or really any ground meat) gross!

Great tips as always. Thanks.
Thank you, Dr. Phil ❤️
Glad to have found your page. Officially on carnivore diet on July 1st of this year. Due to debilitating menopause, was convinced to try this diet by a friend.
