Summary: 1) Highlight Audio which you want to make it to sound good 2) Effect > Noise Reduction (Remove background noise) 3) Effect > Filter Curve > Manage > Factory Presets > repeat for these three things, and click OK after each thing: a) Bass Boost b) Treble Boost c) Low rolloff for Speech 3) Effect > Compressor (leave the setitings & just press OK) 4) Effect > Limiter > Set to Hard Limit > click OK Other tips: 1) it helps A LOT to have the mic close to mouth when recording 2) Audio tracks in Audacity have 2 parts: top and bottom. If one part is completely flat (aka no sound), make the track MONOTONE. Do this by clicking Audio Track > Split Stereo to Mono > delete the flat part.
Thanks a million bruh. Your editing presets took my audio from budget mic to semi-professional studio level quality😂. Creators like you are a blessing on this platform. I'm very grateful for this video
Ive been wondering how to get rid of that background noise for ages. Thanks this was a brilliant tutorial. Short, quick and to the point. Everything you want.
Magic man on the Internet telling me secrets on what to do in AudacIty WHOOOo idk what exactly i just did to my audios but DAMN, IT WORKED WONDERS!! Cheers to you man^^
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS TUTORIAL!!! After trying it out on my podcast audio, it just brought everything to the NEXT LEVEL compared to how my previous audio sounded!!! Again, thank you SO MUCH!! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Best audacity tutorial ever. I’ve seen a ton of longer ones that promised great results but…THIS ONE! You simply delivered, and very quickly! Great work, my man
Man🥹I've been struggling for over a month trying to get obs to work with my mic. I bought a dynamic mic, and it still didn't sound that good. Using the noise reduction and boosts has been awesome here, so thank you so much!
I use this to remind me the order of steps in mixing vocals on audacity. A great straight to the point video of the process, thank you. I have actually been experimenting with giving vocals a very slight reverb and I like the way it sounds over some music but yeah I wouldn't use it every time.
Thank you sir! This is exactly what I needed for my brand new channel called WORK HARD PLAY HARD. I've actually only featured myself making a video four times. The last upload was about 3 months ago because I refocused my efforts and wanted to make sure that I can record properly first and this video is a huge help in that direction sir thank you ✌️✨️
Thanks for the help. But just FYI, the original Compressor and Limiter (seen in video) don't look like that anymore in Audacity 3.5 and beyond. Both still exist though as "Legacy Compressor" and "Legacy Limiter" so you can still use those, just under a slightly different label.
I doubt you’ll see this comment but I genuinely really appreciated you making it. I’ve been doing voice auditions for a couple months now and I always felt like my audio was so rough now matter how much I messed with it. But this really helped me out and I definitely think it helped others. Thank you
Bruh this was easy as fuccc!!! It worked so good I got roasted for sounding like the Watch Mojo guy damn. "Hey guys I'm Simon from Watch Mojo and today we're counting down our picks for the top 10 times actors went off script. Starting off at number 10 is a wholesome moment of banter between Dwayne The Rock Johnsons character Lukes Hobbs and Tyrese Gibsons character Roman at the end of Fast Five. But did you know that this line of dialogue wasn't actually in the script?"
Works wonders for me but is effort. But Audacity has a macro feature so you can just put in the work once and then do everything after noise reduction with one macro!
this really really really helped me!! I have been struggling with audacity and making my recordings sound more crisp. The calm way you explained it was amazing and very helpful so thank you very much.

i tried to make it all those things, so that means a lot!
Tip: instead of recording in stereo and then splitting it into mono, one should choose recording channel as mono to begin with. Higher quality.
Thanks, but please elaborate how to do this, give a walk through the buttons to press
