In excel under all three loans why have you considered interest for only one year? Should you not consider interest for total tenure of the loan. I think you considered interest only for first year in all three scenarios! Pls check again @akshat

    My two cents
Looks like there are other hidden expenses on marriage and kids if one is looking it only financial terms
    Marriage :
-If partner is having a job or job potential, it's an additional income. It's really good
-You got an extended family to look after(especially on festivals & medical)
-Lifestyle changes, eg from 1bhk to 2bhk, Bus, to bike then to car etc
-Travel, eating out, vacation all are multiplied by 2
    Kids:
-Education in metro cities are reaching 2lk per academic year
    -Birthdays, party, vacation
    -Medical & Insurance
But if one invest in 'quality time' ,' understanding /support' and 'love' than financial matters in a family, the financial goals are easy to achieve and in return family will give back joy, love and reasoning for life.

    • @achowdhury47
      @achowdhury47 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

But what happens when the market of 'love' crashes and the woman files a false dowry case against you, thereby sending both you and your parents to jail? You lose your job because of the allegations and now you have to pay alimony and maintenance after divorce.🤣😨

In US and western countries there r many single moms out of Live in relationship as many man ran away after having kid's or after target is met and they don't care than
      .
There is not worth having risk of marriage.
Even Jeff Bezos billionaire is regretting marriage.
Many rich r having kid's without marriage like Tusshar Kapoor, Karan Johar that's too engineered with choice of there genes.
If you have money u can have kids without marrying even foreign countries can help u having surrogate kids ( there r many poor countries)
See there is always risk of half of your wealth getting lost due to divorce .
Or u can donate your sperm to sperm bank so ur Target is achieved by passing your gene.

    Hi Akshat,
Thanks a lot for this video. This is the most needed one to let our Indian parents know that getting married and having kids is not based on the age but based on the financials. Huge pressure is created on both boys and girls in the name of marriage and having kids. Parents get played by the society. The above video helps in planning a lot before taking these life framing decisions. Once again hearty thanks from the bottom of my heart.

In my opinion, making education a costly commodity doesn’t bode well on a society level and I predict millennials will start a backlash on the system that is making education a luxury good and hopefully we see a crash in fees charged by so called education institutes who has turned it into pure business.

Also the additional burden that eventually will lose is peace of mind of repaying the emi regularly

In case the couple want children and unable to conceive then tey have to go for surrogacy which is very expensive. You have missed family holidays abroad / family vacations in India. Need to be a well heeled person to afford these things.

    Hi Akshat,
Thanks for the video. That's quite an important, relative & important milestone. Lot of students fall into the debt trap due to uninformed decision.
The interest component shown in the calculation for higher education seems inaccurate( 45 lakh loan with 9% interest rate and 8 years tenure) would have around approx. 18 lakh as interest amount distributed across 8 years and not 4 lakh as shown in the video(Same is noticed for other assumptions as well).
Rest kudos to the topic selected . Good luck keep making useful content for creating awareness.

I always tell myself you don’t need that new Aston Marti or that vacation in Hawaii just yet and that mindset helps me make more money investing. For example last year I invested 100 grand in blue chip stocks (with the help of my advisor of course) and made 450k, but guess what? I put it back and traded with her again and now I’m rounding up close to a million. Hoping to get to 2 In 6 months time..

After a few years I immigrated to Canada and after clearing my licensing exam started earning $50cad/hr. Around 60Lakhs a year. No emi for my education fees as it was very low anyway.
I also have a kid Zayd 5 years now but had no medical expenses as healthcare is free in india, no expenses from my side as we get $400cad a month for his expenses until he is 18 y.o.
After that he can enroll for a university in Canada at 50-65% lower fees than international students and he will get a very low interest loan for the full amount from the government. He will pay it monthly which will not amount to more than 5% of his monthly salary.

I have been married for 18 years and divorced recently. Let me tell anyone who is recently married or thinking of getting married, success of marriage is based on understanding what is responsibility- it is NOT based on love. Today most people are greedy and have very short attention spans, females typically get bored very fast and they always have options to choose from. Most couples usually get bored of each other in 2-4 years, start hating each other in 7-10 years. Most people have extra marital affairs, females will engage in false accusations, your parents life and your life will be utterly destroyed for 1-2 years till divorce is granted. I had no idea things were like this, after my friends came to know I got divorced they started asking me how to go about getting a divorce, around 70% of my friends are having marital problems and are considering divorce but are afraid since they don’t know the law at all. I would not recommend men to get married in today’s social conditions. It is really not a matter of money, it is a matter of mental peace, life and death.

    • @ronaldinojikri5682
      @ronaldinojikri5682 2 ปีที่แล้ว +16

Also to add, the laws are getting worse and worse for men, your wife can claim maintenance over not only your earning but also your future earnings, your ancestral property etc.
As a man, can you after 4 yrs of marriage decide, I am going to take it easy and just stay at home and take care of the home? No, she will divorce you in 6 months.
But the girl can quit anytime she likes. First she will make you separate from your parents, then make you take a huge emi loan for get a 4 bedroom apt, then get her parents to live in your house, then slowly as the marriage becomes sour, you will either end up giving the entire flat to her in divorce or sell it and give 1/2 of it - either way you lose 20 a 50 lakhs or more.
Throughout the marriage your parents will always get 2nd rate treatment from her but will expect you to become a servant of her and her parents.
Guys, if you open your eyes and just stop being in the dream world of Bollywood live stories you will see this happening all around you, amongst your friends, your own family.
Please research your own truth and decide how you want to spend this precious life.

    Hello Akshat
I am Latha. Its really inspiring to see the range of topics you talk about so confidently. I wish i got such advice 20 years ago, i am making my 18 year old daughter follow your videos so that she doesn't loose out on valuable life lessons, especially with finances.
Let me come to the point
Having been an editor and thereafter a teacher for almost 15 years, can't help but notice the subtitles (not only in this video) have a lot of spelling errors. Examples from today's video:
garage (kharcha), 1.5 cross (crores), Rs 45 (Rs 45 lakh), NBA (MBA), Rs 49 (Rs 49 lakh), $51,000 (Rs 51,000), 25 black rupees (25 lakh), Amani (Ambani) two car (crore) rupee, purpose (corpus) twice, em eyes (EMIs), both (boast)....
    Keep up the good work.
    Good night.

I think I notice something fishy in your interest calculation. For eg. 25L loan for 6 years at 10% per annum rate doesn't just come to 27.5L. That's only 1 year interest. For 6 years it will be 15L so total will be 40L payback and not 27.5L
Same with earlier isb example as well.. can you please check

Why is the interest rate in this video calculated in wrong way, if it’s 9%, it’s per Annum not total 8 years, so he has to pay 77L not 49L with emi of 80k per month, same goes to marriage loan or any other loans..

@@gn4587 Yes buddy, we have an entire team of cook, driver, security guard and a caretaker too for my grand uncle. My aunt and her cousin are still in 40s so manage many things on their own but they would also follow the same as my grand uncle.
So, nothing to worry about and his property will also go to any organization of his choice as we are not allowed to inherit to ensure that my generation happens to be the last one in the family because accumulation of wealth might lead someone think about having a child and hence we don't allow it.
