Super cool seeing an owner on the show.
this guy is a clown one of the dumbest owners and living proof an higher estate/wealth tax is necessary.
Irsay is a drunk
@@dhgateshoes7397What’s your point, still an owner😂
If Europe wins a superbowl before the Vikings, ill switch to watching rugby 😢
Agreed lmao
We’ve heard this every year for the past 15 years. I’ll believe it when I see it
i mean they are playing games over there, they werent doing that 15 years ago
That was the planning phase
@@wildcavemann it’s a lot easier to have 2 or 3 games over there with 2 teams that are both traveling. Having a whole team is a logistical nightmare
Jim Isray is just an absolute Chad. Out here ripping butts, with the shades, dropping the inside knowledge on the PMS!
Give them their own league, I’m not tryna wake up at 9 am to watch a football game
to be fair, they already tried NFL Europa League. it didnt take off, in case it wasn't obvious.
They got their own league ELF and GFL but NFL tryna capitalize make it bigger
9 am isnt that early, i would love it if i could do that
Try 6am on the Westcoast. I dred every time my Dolphins play across the pond.
Logistical headache aside, NFL fans around the world already have their allegiances and support existing teams. I'm not gonna suddenly drop my Colts to support some UK-based team.
Most people will
@@qaxcgyujmbecause that was minor leagues essentially. And the sport has grown tremendously in popularity over there since then
@@charleshessproductionsno, we won't. Nobody is gonna drop 10, 20 or however many years with a team for a random start up UK team. It just won't happen
If your new home team ends up doing well you'll see alot of people switch. Even if it means having "multiple favorites". Sports fans love having home town pride, the my area is better than your area mentality
@@That0neChanne1 the "home team" won't be anywhere near most of European fans. Munich and London is essentially the only options. Dunno how well versed you are on the whole European history but people don't exactly like to support other country's things. Like there is 0 chance I'll ever support a team based in England out of principle
I was stationed in Afghanistan with several European countries and I couldn’t believe how many of them have their own amateur NFL style football clubs. It’s a much bigger attraction than we realize. I’m not sure having a European team/division will work without having a concord like means of traveling.
A new Concorde is being worked on right now.
By Germans I think
The European nfl league failed in the 2000s
I myself co-founded and coach for a club in the UK. In 7 years we've come from a dozen guys in the park to a filly fledged team in Div 1 of the National league and a youth academy with both age groups in the post season this year.
The game is growing.
Toronto needs a team.
We love the NFL here in Germany 🏈🇩🇪❤️🔥🙌
The Saudi Arabia Knight's will kick off in 2030. Games will be played there by 2027.
oy please no
As a big Aladdin fan I will need this jersey asap
They did 9/11 and have fucked us on oil prices
@@jordanpax9735 It makes too much sense not to happen.
Not in Europe my dude
first year in a long time ive decided to not go to an nfl game. the ticket prices have just gotten out of control with these contracts. Ill watch it at home.
Ticket prices outta control but I still gotta pay taxes on these damn stadiums
I've always thought Rodgers belonged on the London Sillynannies
Stop saying that the London games are just watched by Americans and Germans. The NFL community in the UK, is big and knowledgeable we are NOT just there because its an American sport, we're there because we love the game!
What an absolute weapon! 😂😂😂
This would be awful
Love It Pat The Pat McAfee Show Bro
I was lucky to get tickets for this game. Woke up early and they appeared to be sold out so I went on with my day and when I got home from work at night there were still 10 tickets for sale so I grabbed a pair. Excited to go, it is a birthday gift for my brother, his favorite team is the Pats and it will be his first NFL game as well so it should be special!
So happy I was able to get the tickets at face value too
Yay! A more watered-down league that will completely lose its charm, and appeal by not keeping teams in the U.S.
you could argue that happened when they introduced the forward pass via Teddy Roosevelt.
Love the supersonic airliner conversation. 😅
I went to a World League of American Football game in the early 2000’s.
Maybe 4,000 people were there in the stadium.
I think when the uniqueness of European football dies down, the crowds go back down to 4,000.
Terrible idea.
Horrible decision
Look at Connor with legit non toxic questions

@@wildcavemann he asked two questions one with the collection and one with the nfl in Germany or that’s how I took it
@@wildcavemannwhy do you exist?
😅 Pat, I didn’t even know you are Patrick, thanks to Mr Isray 👊🏾😂
I just got back from Amsterdam, Europe is dope
Curious the percentage of the tickets are purchased for Americans abroad 🤔
I love when y’all have Mr. Irsay on!
this guy is a clown one of the dumbest owners and living proof an higher estate/wealth tax is necessary
This is inevitable in Germany. They sang "Take Me Home Country Roads" with a version that would give even the greatest skeptics chills.
Americans should worry when Europeons figure tackle football out…
They take their football VERY seriously across the pond
@@RedMo46we already have. There's literally professional leagues and amateur leagues in most EU countries by now
lol no its not.
and that song sucks.
Why not just bring back NFL Europe?
Nothing like smoking a red and owning a NFL team
Mr. Irsay wearing a Tommy Bahama hat, holding a cig and owning Dave Gilmour’s guitar. An absolute DAWG!
Easy to do when you are a blue blood billionaire who has been pampered from birth. Uh...who was his daddy? Lol. Real easy to be cool when you can afford it and everyone kisses your ass.
this guy is a clown one of the dumbest owners and living proof an higher estate/wealth tax is necessary
@@nileswillis7992 Tell us you're not a fan, without saying you're not a fan.
They had a whole league in Europe decades ago
How about opening up the NFL license in video games to more publishers (eliminate the EA contract) and allow arcade style football to exist again (nfl blitz and nfl street) WITH LATE HITS. Bring back NFL 2k, NFL GameDay, and NFL Fevor just to name a few.
Video games expand demographics, case in point NBA Jam and NFL blitz brought in younger fans.
I hope I see that say that we get an overseas mvp like they do in the nba
Going to Germany or England before Canada seems like a mistake to me.
Nobody in Canada is going to build a multi billion dollar stadium for the NFL oligarchs
@@davidbuswa9425 is Canada that poor?
@@rLxJake Nope Canada has principles. We aren't suckers that were born last night
@@davidbuswa9425 Canada has principles ehh? Like free speech eh?
We don't want this. Thinking of the NFL as a "brand" instead of a legitimate sporting league is some cringy sh*t.
Just reboot the NFL Europe League again, and have European teams play European teams only.
With the differences in how contracts work on both sides of the Atlantic this is the only way for it to work.
I don’t understand why a separate NFL Europe league isn’t the obvious choice. Teams flying back and forth across the Atlantic does not seem practical. The NFLPA would never go for it.
And have both teams who one their respective league have a gram prix or something dope like that
Superbowl winner versus the Eurobowl winner. Call it the GLOBAL BOWL
That's failed every time primarily because of the branding & vastly different skill levels. It's like having a minor league but in europe. It would have to actual NFL teams competing for the superbowl.
Why won't they try some games in Canada or a team in Canada first.
The logistics would be a disaster
Jim is nuts he must be kicking back on grandpa’s old cough medicine again!!
That’s the IFL
You could see a shared base for the 4 european team in europe.
Dude didn’t even mention what the players want. Greed…
Love u Jim
There was an nfl europe….Scottish claymores near me played there was a Barcelona team think 5 in Germany and one from london as well….revive that
add 4 team with US HQs
1. Jacksonville = England (doesn’t count for 4 added)
2. Louisville Kentucky = France
3. San Antonio Texas = Germany
4. St. Louis Missouri = Spain
5. Oklahoma City Oklahoma = Italy
The man is drunk! But there he goes!
Jim sober is another man’s drunk remember that lol, he looks great
And so here comes the end...
As a German I should be happy about these plans but I'm not. I don't want teams of the NFL here in Europe. A couple of international games played here? Yes, love it, but no "local" NFL teams in europe please. I don't know, it's the National Football League of the USA, don't change it.
if they create a european division it could work, theymay have a central shared us facility and create a schedule where only 1 of the teams are in the US at a time. the league however would need to change some of the rules regarding contracts on player movement and and guaranteed money. The financial split would have to be sorted as europe will never host a superbowl. On top of will need to get the UK/Eu to agree to the anti competition rules the nfl has as a business model
And then the Colts move to Munich. LOL
Key question is the refereeing sucks this year and you want to take it overseas? How would that work with no experience in refing?
So less games in the states and higher ticket prices
Make some self contained NFL Europe again. Adding an extra division just messes up the perfect balance of the 32 team league right now. If anything, add 2 more divisions to keep things balanced in the US, Mexico and Canada
2 more divisions, 2 (o 3) wildcard teams per conference, no massive disruption in terms of playoffs.
Canadian and Mexican teams make so much more sense than europe. But there's just SO MUCH MONEY in europe the NFL can't help itself.
there's already not enough high end talent (QBs) to keep the 32 current teams where they need to be. Adding more teams will just lessen the overall product and be a disaster
@@Oink_McJeffery Or maybe it creates opportunities for more QB's to develop and grow. How many Geno Smiths and Brock Purdys are being stashed away in rosters that just need an opportunity and/or more time to develop?
@@johnraitken I think if that was the case then we'd be seeing similar stuff from the CFL or XFL. And we haven't. Don't see what this would bring other than a watered down product and more expensive merch/tickets to cover the ridiculous travel costs.
Irsay ripping heaters. Love to see it
Let’s get some in Toronto and Vancouver to
Keep the NFL here in the USA 🇺🇸 where it belongs. This is nothing but GREED by the owners and the NFL.
Sure cause all profit is greed, lemme guess
@@stephensullivan1011They make multi-billions already so yup wanting more is called GREED.
I was at several NFL Europe games in the mid 90s, this will never work. Ever.
You think nothing has changed 30 years later?
@@bussinblaney3951 did Europe all of a sudden start caring about our football? Irsay refers to a waitlist to attend the NFL games over there, as a reasoning to expand. There are 2 total games played there per year and the stands are never filled on TV. Irsay knows the former NFL Europe commissioner rather well, so he knows this is actually a fantasy.
They had NFL Europe and it folded. Why are they screwing around with it again? They didn't want it.
Taxes r insane in comparison to the USA. Avg its 17% more in Germany where at least 1 team will be for sure. Germany is 7% more than California which is the highest state. UK is higher than USA and Germany. Its 45% if u make over £150k. US is 37% if u make over $523k. Obviously some states add on to income taxes. I wouldn't want to work there if i was a millionaire
Add 8 teams for a total of 40
London
Munich (prefer Berlin personally)
Paris
Madrid
Rome
Mexico City
Montréal (Toronto to close to Buffalo)
St. Louis
Salt Lake City (Jerry Jones is not going to allow a team in San Antonio, Austin, or Okc)
5 Teams per division
18 Games 2 Bye Weeks
8 division games 5 in-conference 5 out-conference
European teams would only need to travel across the Atlantic 5 times while North American teams would just need to travel 2 to 3 times or set up a home base and put some of games back to back for even less travel time
3 conferences west east and euro
Absolute boss
Where’s the Hawaii NFL team???
Every team that plays a road over there will have to have a bye week the following week. Get ready for a 2am est start time
Make sense, but Still doesn't solve them traveling over here for games.
I knew the NFL was drooling when over two million lined up to buy tickets.
How about Canada, we deserve a team?! Toronto would make total sense
Deserve? Confess you're a state and *maybe*
They will be kicking 70 yard field goals lol 3 points every drive. "I'm Wirey Coach"
The replacements, nice.
CFL vs Euroleague and they play each other in the playoffs
How can they say they want to grow the international aspect put kill off the Gamepass app for a new agreement with DAZN which is a significantly inferior product
Expansion means a lower quality product on the field. There are already a few garbage teams in the NFL every season. Minor league/ Developmental leagues are a bigger need.
They’ve already changed the rules so much that it’s far easier offensively.
Money grubbing billionaires
Make current teams bigger since they play 2 more games & deal with more injuries.
Zero interest watching a real NFL team play a international football team, and that's what it would be.
Jim Irsay doesn’t seem real 😂
Jim got a lil stuck on Blind Side
Give the economic boost to American cities not European cities
As a German and a lot of Germans I talked don’t like the idea of teams in Europe. Probably it will work financially. But do players wanna live in Germany?
I think the nfl overestimates the excitement. But we love the nfl Germany games
No longer americas game , just a billionaires cash cow 😤
fire roger lets get peyton as colts owner and jim as commisioner, that would get me back to watching nfl possibly. jims a awesome guy.
It’s the NFL … not IFL …
@jackymelinda7601international?? 💀
Tell that to the NBA bub.
Theres 1000 cities in america that would be a better choice than any city in europe. Just a dumb idea logistically
Connor ain’t talking no ish to Jim Irsay!
The league has already concluded that a team in Europe is not possible so Irsay is just talking nonsense as usual.
And reasons like this is why I pirate.
They have started a fully professional league called the European league of football aka THE ELF y’all should check it out!
just bring the super bowl around the world. Its all rich A anyway. Thats the ultimate experience
I bet I could learn a lot from a one cigarette convo with Jim Irsay he seems so chill.
I am from Germany but how does this make sense it wouldn’t work out
If u can sell 3 Mio tickets for a game (or two) - plus the advertising money that goes with that - plus the TV money . . . .there are more than enough dollars in there to make this work.
@@BluMustang but how do you play with that big of a time difference
@@BrandonAiyukSZN well, they are already playing games in the EU time zone for the last couple of years - but on a larger scale you‘ll probably end up with 4 or so European based teams forming a European divison - it would help bringing back the Concorde cause then an oversea game would only be 3 hours to fly to the east coast - within the US you have almost 5 hours flying from Seattle to Miami - so not a world of difference - doable
@@BluMustang from SF to Germany the flight is about 10-12h I can't see it working out
I’ll quit watching if they do. I don’t care about watching a German NFL team.
I am very sceptical. Not logistically with all the traveling, but the simple fact that the entire way how the NFL organises their player contracts and their legal position of their players is pretty much entirely illegal in the markets the NFL looks at in Europe and their owners don't have the political power to change that, especially in Germany's EU (though the EPL is still the same for that). I am hearing this as long since the NFL Europe is disbanded.
RFA/Franchise tags? Banned, see Bosman Ruling. Non fully guaranteed contracts? Illegal. Draft? I am pretty certain this forced form of employment with pre determined salaries doesn't fly either. Trades? Every player has effectively an NTC and a new team means all players involved need to renegotiate a new deal with their new teams: there aren't such things as contract dumps and player's swaps are very rare in European football for the exact same reason. Not really S&T like NBA either, Team/Team and New Team/Player are two separate deals.
Which makes me wonder why the players are so against this kind of expansion. Western Europe is beneficial for their legal position.
The London Sillynannies 2030
Not happening
National Football League.... Not - International Football League. Legit logistical nightmare and for traveling teams on both sides.
I personally think it's a terrible Idea. If anything Canada or Mexico first.
I'm from Germany and I think a European Division wouldn't work. Travelling alone will be a nightmare.
Not enough talent to field 20 quality teams in the nfl
Players are really going to love paying European taxes. 🤣
Give them their own league (yes ik about the failed euro league) give them like 16 teams and every 4 years have the All pro US team go against the All pro Euro team. Other than that they don’t play the US teams. They should expand in the US and even Mexico before they expand overseas
Jim irsay buys concord jets
Id assume itd be like baseball with west coast trips. You would play the away games in europe in consecutive weeks.
Start off with an International Division: Mexico: 1 Team; Canada: 1 Team; England 1 Team, Germany 1 Team. Eventually expand Mexico/Canada to its own full 4-team division (North America Division), and England/Germany to its own full 4-team division (European Division). Munich would be a good location for a team, as it is centrally located in terms of most of Europe. The UK and Germany could support two teams each easily. Not sure of the popularity in other European countries, but there are many different flags being waved at the international games so I am likely just not aware enough. What little is broadcast of the crowds is always great, but the NFL does a poor job of highlighting the fans/experience of the international games.
That would truly be awful. The travel would be terrible. Stars are not gonna want to play for Mexico or Germany. The international teams would always be garabge and unable to get or retain talent.
