I once did with my brother a log off trade - We went into a remote channel on free market and would drop a rare item we wanted to transfer to another character, and quickly log off and log in and take it.... oh and i remember 1 mil was a damn lot of money :)))
Or Tarazi I used to do that but my brother and I found out it was safer to do that at Henesys in the stylist's house there was this little zone that if you dropped something you couldn't see it and since practically mo one went there it was very safe
Or Tarazi I would do that in Perion near the left with the little cave next to the portal. I once found items there and I was like "oh fuck people use this spot"
The most memorable things I remember: - The seemingly impossible jump in Kerning City to get to the swamp place with the snakes and crocodiles - The bath towel you got from a place in Sleepywood I think - Dying to monsters from the Summoning Sacks thinking they couldn't kill me because it was in a city like Kerning City and Henesys
The invisible chair glitch. I've only done this at the map where you were waiting for Moon Bunny PQ party (so don't know it's possible somewhere else). If you clicked x ("sit" button) and jump+down at the same time, you'd activate a glitch where you'd sit on an invisible chair.
ah, I remember having to recreate characters from being turned into a near zombie, back when you had more than the basic skin colors. and some of those hair styles...dear god...I had a great character I was creating, had everything I wanted for him going great...then that happened...Bam! new game.
Tbh, I liked all the hidden streets there were, it made it very rewarding to find a Hidden Street on your own or discover/explore, for example climbing up the tree in Ellina and jumping down and ending up in Sleepywoods was it? Tbh I think new Maplestory is too easy and they cut down on exploring for smaller maps etc. Also, the travelling via ships and having to wait for them to board and take off promoted community as well.
Oh, I remember that. That wasnt always in the game though they added that. That place had a super high spawn rate but before that existed it was the stuff he mentioned in this video
I liked the journey to all the Victoria Island towns before the Six Path Crossway. There was an integrity and patience about trekking all the way around towns just to go complete a quest and get your rewards. Plus, the hidden maps were hella cool. Some roads were extremely expanded and beautiful to look at. If some of you want to play old school MS, check out Maple Legends :)
oh, so much nostalgia!, back then the game was slower, and it was so much fun... sadly the quest rewards were crappy... nowadays you can insta-kill everything, levels go up so fast that you cant enjoy the adventure. i remember spending hours in the ludidrium tower and PQs i remember being stuck in el nath because we were a bunch of newbies at lvl 18 i remember hunting cakes with my GF in the dungeon in one aniversary looking for the maple weapons i remember being an islander and lvling up to lvl 24 for no real reason. i remember the first time we killed the barlog. (the one in the dungeon, not the one in the ship) talking of wich... the long ass travels to orbis... ... when chairs actually were helpfull... and i remember wach month expecting new patchs and what amazing things nexon will came up, and then blame nexon when they screw things up xD i love maplestory, and i always will
So I love maple story always have always will. I remember seeing the ads for the game before it was official released. You know the old crappy ads that you would see on sites like new grounds. Anyway maplstory holds a very special place in my heart. When I first started playing maple story my grandmother was living in hospice care in my home at the time. Well I didn’t know this at this time since I was about 11 or so. Well the day I was able to finally get my wizet account and was able to log into the game my grandmother passed away that same day. So in a sappy way maplestory reminds me of that day and it kinda makes me think back to that time. I remember so much about wizet maple the Korean fan, the DEX less sins, freaking ever Halloween event. I remember waking up about two hours early before the bus came to my street just to play a few minutes before school
I remember seeing a guy on the Henesys training ground using the Bandit's "Savage Blow" skill while wielding a Korean Fan dagger. Only at the time I didn't know those super flashy looking 6 lines of damage were caused by a skill. I saw the Korean Fan he was wielding and convinced myself that he could do that kind of damage because of the Fan. (Mind you I was a total noob at the game still,. My character was a warrior with lots of INT, because I thought being able to cast spells as a warrior would look cool) So I spent a week gathering 35k mesos so I could buy a Korean Fan off another player, too! I was so disappointed to see only 1 line of very low damage when I went to show off my new weapon at Henesys. The good old days...
Two things I specifically remember, one of them was the summoning bags, god I loved using those in kerning city potion shop. Killing low level players with mobs they could never hope to defeat. The other was vacuum hackers that would immediately steal all the items that were dropped during events.
Dropping mesos in Free Market at the Banker where no one can reach it. Dexless sins / Pure Luk sins everywhere with Work Gloves, Bath towels, Bamboo hat, and the Snow shoes as standard items. FangBlade #NeverForget.
This game literally made my childhood great. Miss the most is the community and all the people you meet from it, damn 2006-2011 was such a great time for gaming. I only wonder where everyone else is now, can't believe many of my good friends then probably have kids and family now.
ShikasiXMS you basically make your client lag out and did not register you went past the portal (theres a hidden portal that warps you to HHG2) if you're talking about the platform at the top of HHG1 above the rope to HHG2.
Yao no, i mean that platform in the town. People were continuously dropping mesos up there, while noobs kept jumping to try to get it. It was next to the Market Place portal
The best thing for me that i remember from back in the day was Carnival PQ and being there as dexless assassin with zakum helm, maple claw and ilbis. Thats som nostalgia for me ^~^
Lmao! I'm the priest healing the Dragon Knight on the boat. I don't even kow how i found this video and i did not expect to see myself..that's for sure.
When I first started playing I was 7, it was so new to me back then, I didn't have any internet so the only time I could even play it was at my cousins house. They introduced me to the game and I was so hooked onto it. My first character was a Mage and I had begged my cousins to buy me a green jester and I would train so hard just to get to 30 just so I could wear it. I also remember all the times when PQs were still an actual thing. When I first hit level 40 I was so excited and happy that my cousins even celebrated it with me and we shared some cake. And I remember getting my first Maple weapon, back when there were those tree events that dropped golden leaves etc. I was so stoked I actually jumped around the room in excitement. And oh, how I miss having be in a guild, where the people actually seemed genuinely nice and friendly.
There were also a time were u have to made your own weapon in maplestory, because i remember when i was in lvl 30 i always remember that i should craft my own weapons, but now a days u can just buy thos things from the store.
I miss this game started playing when I was 12 and there weren't any of the new classes cygnus wasn't even released then. I quit a couple of times but I always went back even played a couple of private servers off and on. But I haven't gone back since kaiser was released.
I remember when I jumped down from the map in Ellinia and end up in Sleepywood (you know that place),I can never go out, the monster are too strong and one-shot me. My big brother end up at there as well but he did asked someone to bring him out, with some free white potion. I was too shy to ask so I never went out, i think. A new character and a few day later, I end up at there again (yes, by jumping down from the map) I started asking myself " Why am i here again?..." I did that like 3 times
Leaching in that place nlc which had jesters was pretty fun lol you used to go pay a hacker some meso and he would kill the whole map for you for a cpl of hours also the lion heart castle was epic back then
Great video! Right in the feels hahahaha, but i also remember piano, that one was a great boss... and pig beach was freakin' iconic, it was very crowded and main training map for low lvls...
I thought you would talk about KPQ, both Ludi PQs, Ariant PQ (which wasn't a pq but still) and the best Carnival PQ and the Moon Bunny was good too, overall practically all PQs were amazing at the time and even more if you were a thief with CIlbis and Work Gloves of 8-10 attack and zak helm and Facestompers everyone would look at you and your amazing damage
I miss KPQ in EMS , the people saying they had autoclick, the language swapping to go to other channels you normally couldnt access, the people trying to reach the most right sewer, the trading and meeting spot for many. Kerning city will always be my favorite city. Even saying "kerning city" makes me sing its background music
This is really old, but does anyone remember killing green mushrooms to find a rare panlid drop? Back then, that was the only shield that a mage can hold with wand. That was like Maplestory beta times.
Where's the carnival pq, i was expecting it to be top 1, i had a lot of fun doing that from level 30-50, honestly all the old party quests were awesome!
whenever I logged in to scania i always typed "/find tiger" to see if the highest lvl mapler was on. I found him in the middle of nowhere near heneseyes once and got so pumped. Wasn't even max level but was still a legend. All of my brothers would gather around anytime someone's character over level 20 leveled up One time I finally turned level 50 with a spearman, rounded up like 5 people around orbis and decided to take on Zakum, we all died before we got there Hopping around different channels to find your own spot, nowdays I go to channel 1 and nobody is ever there. THE MONSTER CARNIVAL. My bros and I had 4 computers lined up next to each other, we'd log them all in and trade off wins buying mesos off a sketchy website because I was sick of the grind to actually earn them. Bought ninja stars and zakum helmets and shizz Starting 10 million quests and never finishing them getting KS'd near heneseyes the music... all of it. making the decision of whether i should buy level 10 clothes or just save and then maybe could afford level 15 clothes when the time came my dad getting pissed off when the pets expired... "it turns into a stuffed animal after 3 months???" Making bomb ass wish lists in the cash shop getting the XP spell from a priest and then quickly leaving the party and grinding monsters Anniversary events where a giant ass cake would spawn and people would all gather to kill it the one time i sold a maple dagger worth 200k for like 1k when it was actually worth your time to sell "etc." items to the shop for extra cash being 6 years old and playing maplestory beta with the bros... :(
john the fisherman's jumping quest! the sauna in sleepywood being a dexless ninja and always wearing a towel Getting a pan lid from a green mushroom The mushroom kingdom lvl 30 quests when mu lung PQ was available above lvl 20 or something, not 120+
It really was a testament to how slow the leveling in the game was when the top players took so so long to reach the max level. I remember him and... Suuushi? I think it was.
I haven't played maple Story in 3 years now, I decided to download it again today. While watching this video I was like wait these don't exist anymore?!?! xD
"Slime Tree, it was this super crazy training map. They were pretty weak but there were a lot of them" *Shows only 1 slime on screen* Great memories Great video.
3:41 Personally I would've considered that to be more of a Lv20-30 spot for when you couldn't be bothered to do KPQ any more. Beyond those levels I can remember the Brown/Pink Teddies in Ludi being better exp.
I forgot the most important ones. Johns quest for the flowers. Shumis coin quest. How maple was a full circle and the way to get to sleepy was through perion dungeon. Swamp from kerning or henesys hidden cove. Lets also not forget that Sins were the only class that had a double jump. And all the old skills of the adventurer and cygnus classes. That sums it up for me
I was in the beta. A few highlights: When somebody guessed the password to a GM account and started summoning Jr. Balrog in the slime tree. When Shikishaka died in Happyville and became the first person to see Orbis. Ossyria riots. The week before the beta was closed. Hackers were handing out perfect +7 10% scrolled gear like candy.
Anyone remember the little tree cabin in henesys next to the freemarket portal where only like pirates e.t.c. could get up on and tease people by dropping valueable stuff up there and noone could reach it.
yes.. good old times, when it took like 8 months to reach level 70, the good time when Tiger (Gavin) was ranked as 1st place in maplestory and he wasnt even level 200, the good time when there was no such thing leveling up by mobbing, miss these days, feel bad for those people who dont have those memories..
Do they still hang around the sewage to get into a party quest? I remember that. Keep spamming the button to get in when you think the other team got out.
So many things... I remember the golem pit, when pirates first came out, when people actually did PQs, when people had to go to the actual area of the PQ to do it (instead of the portal), when Zakuum and Pianus were the sh*t, all the crazy job advancement quests, how long it took to level up, transforming into enemies, summoning high level enemies in crowded low level areas, and so much more... lol ahh... the good ole days... 🙄
I remember Ch 1 always having a ton of people regardless of the world but now everything is empty, I remember Kerning City was always filled cuz of the PQ. Maple is basically like I am Legend now, just an abandoned world.
When bishops could spam genesis, white balrog in front of that haunted mansion in NLC (and getting killed by said balrog repeatedly because I was a noob who managed to get 5k mesos for a one way ticket), and circling around channel 1 Henesys to potentially collect stuff people dropped in the "drop game," (of which my most prized possession was 3 diamond arrows I couldn't even use because I was a lv16 beginner with messed up stats so I couldn't get a job lol).
I remember doing LPQ and before exiting the PQ the party leader would take out their Ethernet cable from their modem exit the PQ and then go back again for another run and all the people outside would be like wtf
I remember stalking somebody all the way to Pig Beach, the hidden street near Lith Harbour...when I first set foot in there it was the most amazing experience
I remember using my brother's account, using a lvl 57 warrior. Someone came up to me and asked if I wanted to beat Pianus. I didn't know he was trolling, so I followed him into the aqua areas. It took longer than I want to admit to figure out what was happening :/
dat ene hutje voor free marked in henyes waar je op een of andere manier op kon en iedereen maar beetje dom rond heen springen terwijl goede lui er allemaal goede dingen op legde leuke tijd.
I dont know if you remember this, but back in the days, pro players used to do the omega sector quests, just to get the sack which summons grays aliens and use that sack to kill low levels asking for party in Kerning City
I did that too to help a friend get back in. I waited for when he was about to exit and reenter, then summoned some robots to kill the noobs there waiting for him to get out, and when they were distracted or dead, my friend successfully reentered the PQ. 😆
well, i remember that huge hole by the right side of henesys(it was around one or two maps right)filled by high level golems and around the hole all monster were somewhat low lvl training monsters...the region where i played there was no monster lvl indicator so nobody knew what was strong or weak, so it was pure exploration, so we knew that those golems where no match for a 20-25 lvl archer but falling into that hole and being like, "what the f..." and losing my hard earned exp and thus making that my personal " never go there or past there" area
that stupid balrok would chance to appear when you had your first airship ride. I remember being lvl 7, getting ready to head out to become a mage, back when you could join it before lvl 10 unlike the rest of them. Where you had to almost fight to get to the other class trainers.
I remember hearing zakum being this terrifying boss that needed a lot of high level players to beat. Now,first time I saw him I defeated it alone lvl 70
roll the dice for an hour to get 4 4 stat...
back in the days
An hour? Jesus, how lucky were you.. Or how unlucky was I?
i rolled 4 4 stat in less than half an hour, just accidentally clicked re-roll....
yes, i was accidentally clicked re-roll for 2 times..
Don't forget the blue eye selection in character creation, now you can't do that anymore :)
Poll old school MapleStory servers! Tweet "@MapleStory" with the hashtag "#PollOSMSServers" explain to them why you loved old Maple so much!
I once did with my brother a log off trade - We went into a remote channel on free market and would drop a rare item we wanted to transfer to another character, and quickly log off and log in and take it.... oh and i remember 1 mil was a damn lot of money :)))
Or Tarazi That moment when monsters started dropping equipment ALL the time. Was the moment mesos became worthless
I used to do that but then both accounts were banned :( tried getting them back but i couldn't
The most memorable things I remember:
- The seemingly impossible jump in Kerning City to get to the swamp place with the snakes and crocodiles
- The bath towel you got from a place in Sleepywood I think
- Dying to monsters from the Summoning Sacks thinking they couldn't kill me because it was in a city like Kerning City and Henesys
Remember Basilmarket?
Bro....
The invisible chair glitch. I've only done this at the map where you were waiting for Moon Bunny PQ party (so don't know it's possible somewhere else). If you clicked x ("sit" button) and jump+down at the same time, you'd activate a glitch where you'd sit on an invisible chair.
ShikasiXMS it works in Henesys as well, at least I tried it before
I remember not even having a Maple island. I still have my "Mark of the Beta Tester" bandana. This game really changed.
I remember the Amoria hair salon quest and I got a damn mushroom haircut. Lol 😂
the number of times i made a new character just because of that because i wanted the rare hairstyle XD
I remember just making a character and when i got a shit hair I deleted. I did this so much till i got a nice one omfg
ah, I remember having to recreate characters from being turned into a near zombie, back when you had more than the basic skin colors. and some of those hair styles...dear god...I had a great character I was creating, had everything I wanted for him going great...then that happened...Bam! new game.
That damn quest was a scam to make you buy an actual coupon to undo the damage. 😂
2nd and 3rd job advancements felt like a real achievement. also PQ's were so fun, community was great
nostalgia ow damnn, good old times :)
back in the days I paid 55m for zhelm service & 40ish mill for 8att w/g for my dexless sin
Hell yeah had to get the jump quest service too. Im not doing that shit. LoL
Lol yup. I got lucky once and someone dropped a scg work glove right in front of me messing around. I picked it up cause he thought I was afk.
Some of my favorite memories was legit learning how to smug rice cakes. If you could smug fast, everyone wanted you in there group.
When the bottom right of perion was the hang-out spot.
Trinime I loved waiting for ships to arrive and buying tickets at the ticket booth in the map above orbis.
except some ships took like, a half hour. it was nuts
The hidden street in a kerning area that had these octopus thingies. Best training spot for 15-20 👌
Oh, I remember that. That wasnt always in the game though they added that. That place had a super high spawn rate but before that existed it was the stuff he mentioned in this video
Chaim Eysten and the blue mushrooms below it? Great place!
When using the party system was the norm in farming
Ludi Maze PQ and Carnival PQ - my two favorite things to do in MapleStory :(
Oh yeah, carnival PQ. I remember lvling up my gunslinger there when it came out.
I remember old school maple was fun and everyone was friendly
Yep! Maplestory has/had the best community imo. Only nIce guys
I remember my level 25 warrior missing on orange mushrooms because I didn't put points in DEX
I liked the journey to all the Victoria Island towns before the Six Path Crossway. There was an integrity and patience about trekking all the way around towns just to go complete a quest and get your rewards. Plus, the hidden maps were hella cool. Some roads were extremely expanded and beautiful to look at. If some of you want to play old school MS, check out Maple Legends :)
the excitement when u get to every 5 levels to buy the new armors at the NPC
I remember the Raids. Where 30ppl would try and take down Zakum or Horntail. Those were the best times :)
oh, so much nostalgia!, back then the game was slower, and it was so much fun... sadly the quest rewards were crappy... nowadays you can insta-kill everything, levels go up so fast that you cant enjoy the adventure.
i remember spending hours in the ludidrium tower and PQs
i remember being stuck in el nath because we were a bunch of newbies at lvl 18
i remember hunting cakes with my GF in the dungeon in one aniversary looking for the maple weapons
i remember being an islander and lvling up to lvl 24 for no real reason.
i remember the first time we killed the barlog. (the one in the dungeon, not the one in the ship)
talking of wich... the long ass travels to orbis...
... when chairs actually were helpfull...
and i remember wach month expecting new patchs and what amazing things nexon will came up, and then blame nexon when they screw things up xD
i love maplestory, and i always will
paying 1000 mesos for the taxi
The taxis were a luxury. I remember NEVER using them to save up.
So I love maple story always have always will. I remember seeing the ads for the game before it was official released. You know the old crappy ads that you would see on sites like new grounds. Anyway maplstory holds a very special place in my heart. When I first started playing maple story my grandmother was living in hospice care in my home at the time. The good old days...
Machodudin 😂😂😂😂😂
Brooo, I feel for you hahah. I miss the good old MapleStory man, things we will never get back
oh my god this make me laugh so hard!!!!! :D
you , my friend, you trully have the old maple good memories hahaha
That was me!
1:05 if this music brings tears to your eyes, you are a maple veteran.
Indeed, i still remember maplestory beta, this game has changes so much..
Two things I specifically remember, one of them was the summoning bags, god I loved using those in kerning city potion shop. Killing low level players with mobs they could never hope to defeat. The other was vacuum hackers that would immediately steal all the items that were dropped during events.
after countless hours of hunting chronos in ludibrium, the feeling of getting an ester shield dropped. my god the euphoria XD
Dropping mesos in Free Market at the Banker where no one can reach it. Dexless sins / Pure Luk sins everywhere with Work Gloves, Bath towels, Bamboo hat, and the Snow shoes as standard items. FangBlade #NeverForget.
*Legend says that Tiger was played by multiple personnel lol
This game literally made my childhood great. Miss the most is the community and all the people you meet from it, damn 2006-2011 was such a great time for gaming. I only wonder where everyone else is now, can't believe many of my good friends then probably have kids and family now.
Summoning Sacks (especially Balrog) to kill noobs.
Those were wonderful times.
ShikasiXMS IFKR
Summoning Barlog at CC1, at Kerning city PQ area
ShikasiXMS I used to be the noobs that got killed haha
That platform in Henesys (next to the MP portal) that almost no one could reach or figure out how to get up there (to this day, I still don't know).
you had to spam potions while climbing the latter
ShikasiXMS you basically make your client lag out and did not register you went past the portal (theres a hidden portal that warps you to HHG2) if you're talking about the platform at the top of HHG1 above the rope to HHG2.
Yao no, i mean that platform in the town. People were continuously dropping mesos up there, while noobs kept jumping to try to get it. It was next to the Market Place portal
gunslinger floating skill(wings)+recoil shot
only gunslingers and dual blades can get up there i think, i THINK normal thieves could get up there with flash jump too, not sure tho
Only 3 character slots per world.
i remember that
The best thing for me that i remember from back in the day was Carnival PQ and being there as dexless assassin with zakum helm, maple claw and ilbis. Thats som nostalgia for me ^~^
Lmao! I'm the priest healing the Dragon Knight on the boat. I don't even kow how i found this video and i did not expect to see myself..that's for sure.

i cried..feelsbadman..
Using Summoning Stones and Magic Stones to summon your phoenix, shadow, magic door.
Good times. I remember actually sitting on chairs to recover HP/MP. Also hunt green mushrooms for pan lids
When I first started playing I was 7, it was so new to me back then, I didn't have any internet so the only time I could even play it was at my cousins house. They introduced me to the game and I was so hooked onto it. A new character and a few day later, I end up at there again (yes, by jumping down from the map)
I started asking myself " Why am i here again?..." I did that like 3 times
wow when I jumped down some random kind guy gave me a return scroll to ellinia
wow you are lucky XD
Leaching in that place nlc which had jesters was pretty fun lol you used to go pay a hacker some meso and he would kill the whole map for you for a cpl of hours also the lion heart castle was epic back then
Coppersan you're the man for bringing back good old memories for me. =]
what about the shumi lost coin and all those jump quests
wow the good old maple days i miss them
Great video! Right in the feels hahahaha, but i also remember piano, that one was a great boss... and pig beach was freakin' iconic, it was very crowded and main training map for low lvls...
In Kerning City with the 3 sewage path thingy and the only way to get the the third one was either Teleport or Haste
I remember back in the day when they changed the name of Horny Mushrooms to Horned Mushrooms, back then I didn't understand why 😂
Anyone that made it over level 90 prebb you HAVE to remember training at typhoons. Common spot for vac hackers and was the fastest exp
When I was a pure INT mage. I used to wear bath robe, yellow work glove, yellow snow shoes & purple gaia cape!!! 🤣
Making a LUKless mage (the best) and having to use a wooden wand until you get a Llama staff (or a paintbrush THAT 5 STR REQUIREMENT THOUGH)

Where's the carnival pq, i was expecting it to be top 1, i had a lot of fun doing that from level 30-50, honestly all the old party quests were awesome!
I made a part 2 including monster carnival pq :)

buying mesos off a sketchy website because I was sick of the grind to actually earn them. Bought ninja stars and zakum helmets and shizz
Starting 10 million quests and never finishing them
getting KS'd near heneseyes
the music... all of it.
making the decision of whether i should buy level 10 clothes or just save and then maybe could afford level 15 clothes when the time came
my dad getting pissed off when the pets expired... "it turns into a stuffed animal after 3 months???"
Making bomb ass wish lists in the cash shop
getting the XP spell from a priest and then quickly leaving the party and grinding monsters
Anniversary events where a giant ass cake would spawn and people would all gather to kill it
the one time i sold a maple dagger worth 200k for like 1k
when it was actually worth your time to sell "etc." items to the shop for extra cash
being 6 years old and playing maplestory beta with the bros... :(
john the fisherman's jumping quest!
the sauna in sleepywood
being a dexless ninja and always wearing a towel
Getting a pan lid from a green mushroom
The mushroom kingdom lvl 30 quests
when mu lung PQ was available above lvl 20 or something, not 120+
It really was a testament to how slow the leveling in the game was when the top players took so so long to reach the max level. I remember him and... Suuushi? I think it was.
I haven't played maple Story in 3 years now, I decided to download it again today. While watching this video I was like wait these don't exist anymore?!?! xD
Giving return scroll to noobs who venture into Sleepywood and can't get back out lol
"Slime Tree, it was this super crazy training map. They were pretty weak but there were a lot of them" *Shows only 1 slime on screen* Great memories Great video.
The rest of them were all brutally murdered :(
that freaking Jr boogie at wild boars
I started playing maple since I was 4 years old on my brother's account
Till now my brother quit long ago and I'm still playing lol.
15 now >
Boosted420 King sameee
Thanks for these. I lost my account and stopped playing but these bring me lots of joy :)
That sums it up for me
being called a clicking god to get my parties into pq's and having to rush out of the pq to try and get in the pq again
Beautiful, I want to cry.... I miss those days
I was in the beta. A few highlights:
When somebody guessed the password to a GM account and started summoning Jr. Balrog in the slime tree.
When Shikishaka died in Happyville and became the first person to see Orbis.
Ossyria riots.
The week before the beta was closed. Hackers were handing out perfect +7 10% scrolled gear like candy.
When i first played maplestory i got lost on my way from Lith Harbor to Elinia. I got there on foot cause i didn't knew the taxi system lol
When you had to be pro at clicking to get into PQs :'D
And having a list of people to track to know when they were finishing the PQ >:D F3
about the balgol is still happen cause it happen to me when I was going to obris for a quest and I died losing my mesos and exp best thing
What I remember from old school maple is that only the rogue classes used to have a double jump, now every fucking class has it.
i remember hating the ant tunnel lmao. always trained there but it was so tedious.
I still own those "N,E,S,W" compass pieces
Do they still hang around the sewage to get into a party quest? I remember that. Keep spamming the button to get in when you think the other team got out.
you brought back some of my childhood memories, i hate and love you at the same time (hate cause i miss the old MS)
Henesys hunting ground was the spot to chill n show off your dmg!!good old maple days..
So many things... I remember the golem pit, when pirates first came out, when people actually did PQs, when people had to go to the actual area of the PQ to do it (instead of the portal), when Zakuum and Pianus were the sh*t, all the crazy job advancement quests, how long it took to level up, transforming into enemies, summoning high level enemies in crowded low level areas, and so much more... lol
ahh... the good ole days... 🙄
I remember Ch 1 always having a ton of people regardless of the world but now everything is empty, I remember Kerning City was always filled cuz of the PQ. Maple is basically like I am Legend now, just an abandoned world.
the last time i played maple was like 8 or 9 years ago, and this brings back old memories. I wonder how maplestory is right now
Dropping items on the wooden structure next to free market in henesys where only mages could get on top of.
I miss those days :(
I remember stalking somebody all the way to Pig Beach, the hidden street near Lith Harbour...when I first set foot in there it was the most amazing experience
Juz when I thought I got frustrated of having crowded areas due to spamming chats and skills, but now...I miss the crowd.
I remember using my brother's account, using a lvl 57 warrior. Someone came up to me and asked if I wanted to beat Pianus. I didn't know he was trolling, so I followed him into the aqua areas. It took longer than I want to admit to figure out what was happening :/
Ga door met maple vids. Gruwelijk man. Speelde al 7/8 jaar geleden maar vroeger was t top. Ik mis me gloves, sauna robes vooral!.
dat ene hutje voor free marked in henyes waar je op een of andere manier op kon en iedereen maar beetje dom rond heen springen terwijl goede lui er allemaal goede dingen op legde leuke tijd.
Watching this video and listening to this music is so nostalgic and sad. =( my childhood right here
I dont know if you remember this, but back in the days, pro players used to do the omega sector quests, just to get the sack which summons grays aliens and use that sack to kill low levels asking for party in Kerning City
I did that too to help a friend get back in. I waited for when he was about to exit and reenter, then summoned some robots to kill the noobs there waiting for him to get out, and when they were distracted or dead, my friend successfully reentered the PQ. 😆
well, i remember that huge hole by the right side of henesys(it was around one or two maps right)filled by high level golems and around the hole all monster were somewhat low lvl training monsters...the region where i played there was no monster lvl indicator so nobody knew what was strong or weak, so it was pure exploration, so we knew that those golems where no match for a 20-25 lvl archer but falling into that hole and being like, "what the f..." and losing my hard earned exp and thus making that my personal " never go there or past there" area
the 3rd sewer that you couldn't get to without haste at kpq back when there was no down jump
that stupid balrok would chance to appear when you had your first airship ride. I remember being lvl 7, getting ready to head out to become a mage, back when you could join it before lvl 10 unlike the rest of them. Where you had to almost fight to get to the other class trainers.
I remember doing kpq instead of packing to go on my trip because the maplestory grind was real back then.
nostalgia at it's best, oh boy,
the days playing PQs all the time, kerning pq, ludi pq the good old days
I remember hearing zakum being this terrifying boss that needed a lot of high level players to beat.
Now,first time I saw him I defeated it alone lvl 70
