The event for Hoopa has to do with the Ghost Girl in Lumiose City BF2 The event for Volcanion has to do with Team Flare The event with Diancie is possibly in Reflection Cave, there is a secret passage way you can only notice through the mirror, then at the end is a golden/grassy patch where in the middle Diancie will be waiting, You may also find the Alakanite during 8-9pm at the exact spot. I mean, they wouldn't just do something that serial in the game for just an evolutionary stone? Well that's my theory, and its pronounced DIAN-SEE. Like if you like ;)

I think that when they release you get a key card to one of those doors to the power plant and in order for you to get diancie you must somehow evolve carbink to a diancie using the machine or whatever is in the 3 power plant rooms.
I'm pretty sure you can find Diancie's "Location" if you explore glitter cave. There is a random empty area in there with 1 ray of light. I haven't done everything in the game so it might be for something I haven't done yet.

I doubt it's a Manaphy/Phione situation, as it seems kinda arbitrary that they would do that again. I'm more inclined to believe that they're simply related "on paper", and that Diancie just acts as the legendary ruler of all Carbink. If Carbink really does turn into Diancie, it's going to be in a much more restricted way. Otherwise, you could just breed a hundred Carbinks and get hundreds of Diancies, which is exactly why this hasn't been a thing in any previous generation. Having said that, I truly do hope we get to see Carbink evolve, but it probably won't happen.
well, in nintendo eShop there are stuff called updates for 3ds games. That means a whole new update can be added which could give an evolution to carbink! Even new mega evolutuions! Maybe diance gets an OP mega evo lol

Guys, Diancie is the Queen of all Carbink's. Diancie was known long before the pokemon X and Y was out in the store. You might say the freaking pokemovie with the title Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction isn't true, but you it makes sense since Carbink needs a life crystal to live, which only a Diancie could make.
Some thing to note is how you stated how diancie is like the queen of all carbinks. Well, think about regigigas in pokemon black and white 2. The three stones around him said you need a body of pure ice, rock, and stone to awaken the KING, or something like that. So it may be possible for there to be more carbink forms to summon the queen or diance.

What would happen if Carbink evoles if it has at least two hearts in Pokémon-Amie, and you have to lvl it while in Reflection Cave?
no. id be willing to bet, with the number of people that play that would have already happened if it could. in fact i myself would have done that cuz i got mine to 4 hearts in that very cave cuz i liked it so much.
carbink getting a mega evo seems totally resonable to me. especially with diance having exactly 100 base stats more than carbink which is what ALL mega evos do/have
maybe when you have carbink hold stardust in the reflection cave and lvl it then go to lynsdra lab (i cant spell his name) the cemicals from the stardust and the lvl ivs may have an effect on carbink. well also you may have gotten the ticket to couriway city on the train i still think it would be possible after all maybe the pink stardust may have an effect on carbinks crystals.
Idea: Maybe Diancie's event could be in the same spot as you find Alakazite in Mirror Cave (Or was it Refecting cave?), and that place is where Carbink is found.
I think the sequel to Pokemon X and Y is gonna be Z. Here are my reasons: 1. Zygarde begins with Z and he is shaped like a Z. 2. Pokemon X and Y are the first main series 3D games but if you think of shapes a 2D shape uses X and Y axis but Pokemon X and Y is 3D so you need a Z axis to make it 3D. Like if you agree. :D
Z sequel sounds possible. My reason; the Elite 4. No rebattle with powered up levels or no extra pokemon. No mega pokes used by them. They do this each time, like D/P > Platinum for example, the elite 4 got stronger.

I think that Diancie is the contrary of Carbink, you know: like Plusle is very related to Minun but it doesn't evolve to it or anything like this, only similar Pokemon.
Carbink and Diancie also have the same catch rate. When the hidden legends were on serebii, it showed Diancies catch rate as 30, while the other two legends catch rates were only 3. I definitely think that they are related.

There is a town with giant pink crystals in it that relates to the Mega Stones. Diancie is made of giant pink crystals. The theme of XY is mega stones, and the theme of this pokemon is stone-related. Diancie will be related to mega stones.
I, too, think that the third theory is the more plausible. Dunno, maybe if you trade/train Carbink with a certain item (like a "pressure" item), it would evolve into a Diancie... And is cool how Carbink's name ends with "ink", and Diancie is "pink"...
look, the only reason that the three 'hidden legendaries' were given end-of-the-dex number listings is so that they could be moved out of the way prior to the release of the game. this indicates that the pokemon group chose to not use them at all. it would have been difficult for them to write them out without affecting some of the game code, so they were moved and simply cannot be found in the wild. this is a common move for the pokemon developers to do, and they have been getting better at it since their red/blue days. (for those of you that didnt know MISSINGNO, that was the code for marowak to evolve into khangaskhan, which is why it evolved into khang when you gave it a rare candy)

I honestly believe that there could be a possible evolution between Carbink and Diancie, but first there are certain factors that come into play as I think about it. There are multiple ways for evolution and certain requirements that need to be met. But first in case of the event that someone "new" reads this, I am going to list the ways we all know about Evolution with some examples. 1) Level up! Ex) Fennekin > Braixen > Delphox just by simply leveling up to Level 18/35 2) Link Trade! Ex) Machoke > Machoke Link Trade with another player without it holding an "Everstone" 3) Using an Evolution Stone Ex) Vulpix > Ninetales Use a "Fire stone". 4) Level up! with a certain Item being Held during either the Day/Night. Oh Wow Solid Carbon... Solid Carbon is either Diamond or Graphite - and I doubt that the grey rock is Graphite - a lubricant. The rock would be any normal rock, like quartz, granite etc.
Maybe this is just another case of Kangaskhan/Marowak/Cubone; where Diancie was originally planned to be Carbink's evolution, but they decided to go against at the last minute.
Maybe there will be an event that lets you take a normal/special Carbink to an area (like one of the locked power plants on Route 13) and it will get compressed/turned into a Diancie.
I am aware that this was made before the movie "Diancie and the cocoon of destruction" but enlight of the movie, I theorize that because Diancie is the princess of carbink, she would evolve from a carbink, but most likely a special type of carbink, reason being that is because if she did not evolve from a specific carbink, ANY carbink could be her.
I don't know about any of this, but I call the idea that they're gonna make a movie out of Diancie eventually. One of the criminal teams will kidnap it, try to force it to make diamonds, and the heros will save the day just in time (possibly with help from the other two leaked legendaries, and a carbink or two.)
Maybe they are related in the way Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan are (both Carbink and Diancie being related to a unknown pre-evo); then, in order for trainers to evolve the pre-evo into Diancie, they need special conditions (such as evolving in a determinate cave or something like that)

As I am late to comment, Diancie is pretty much just and evolved carbink When I got diancie two people came in asking for the diancie, they did mention that diancie was a geneticly modified carbink sort of making it a evolution.
They say that Diancie is a "sudden mutation" of a Carbink. Seems odd that they say that in that fashion since they came out with "sudden mutations" for berry farming.
My thoughts are that just like how Missingno. was supposed to be a baby Khangaskan evolution, I think Diancie was supposed to be an evolved form of Carbink, but in both cases, the developers didn't have enough time to make it like that or even scrap it, so they moved it to a different spot in the Pokedex. But I could be wrong.
Maybe its just me but it looks alot more like a mega evolution that is being kept a secret for now and was given a number to make the pokemon community go nuts when they actually release it.
Most likely the developers planed Diancie as an evolution for Carbink but realized Carbink would be too hard to kill if it used eviolite. Since it would hit base 225 in defenses, with duel screens and rest it could be very hard to stop and lead to super slow matches. They probably just blocked the evolution off with programming.
Maybe Diancie was attended to be saved for carbink to have a new evolution in gen 7 but they decided to put it in there at the last minute (because of the lack of Pokemon) when there was no time to re arrange the Poke dex and make up an evolution method so they decide to just make it legendary and at the near end of the pokedex.

I believe that when the ultimate weapon was fired off and turned stones into mega stones, it shot a carbink and that carbink turned into diancie.

Simply why is this even news the same pokemon carbines thru mutation become diancie simple, but I wish the game mechanic have seen I happen in the game, it would have been fun

There is a town with giant pink crystals in it that relates to the Mega Stones. Diancie is made of giant pink crystals. The theme of XY is mega stones, and the theme of this pokemon is stone-related. Diancie will be related to mega stones.

I, too, think that the third theory is the more plausible. Dunno, maybe if you trade/train Carbink with a certain item (like a "pressure" item), it would evolve into a Diancie... And is cool how Carbink's name ends with "ink", and Diancie is "pink"...
look, the only reason that the three 'hidden legendaries' were given end-of-the-dex number listings is so that they could be moved out of the way prior to the release of the game. this indicates that the pokemon group chose to not use them at all. it would have been difficult for them to write them out without affecting some of the game code, so they were moved and simply cannot be found in the wild. this is a common move for the pokemon developers to do, and they have been getting better at it since their red/blue days. (for those of you that didnt know MISSINGNO, that was the code for marowak to evolve into khangaskhan, which is why it evolved into khang when you gave it a rare candy)

Diancie is a "sudden transformation" of Carbink according to its Dex entry. Now have a look to the 17th movie summary : Diancie is the princess of an underground country where the Carbinks live... so Diancie might be just under the Mirror cave.
Diancie is a random mutation from a Carbink that happened sometime in the past, there could be more than one or there may just be one, Gian Parlo did a video on the Diancie event and it tells you on it :)
I honestly believe that there could be a possible evolution between Carbink and Diancie, but first there are certain factors that come into play as I think about it. There are multiple ways for evolution and certain requirements that need to be met.
But first in case of the event that someone "new" reads this, I am going to list the ways we all know about Evolution with some examples.
1) Level up!
Ex) Fennekin > Braixen > Delphox just by simply leveling up to Level 18/35
2) Link Trade!
Ex) Machoke > Machoke Link Trade with another player without it holding an "Everstone"
3) Using an Evolution Stone
Ex) Vulpix > Ninetales Use a "Fire stone".
4) Level up! with a certain Item being Held during either the Day/Night.
Ex) Gligar > Gliscor Level up at night while Holding a "Razor Fang" or
Happiny > Chansey Holding an "Oval Stone" then level up during the Day.
5) Level up! with high Friendship during either Day, Night, or Anytime
Ex) Riolu > Lucario Like it says "Level up! with High Friendship"
6) Level up! while knowing a certain move/move type
Ex) Yanma > Yanmega Leveling it up while it knows the move "Ancient Power"
7) Level up! with a certain stat being higher than the other
Ex) Tyrouge > Hitmontop/Hitmonchan/Hitmonlee Level up while either Attack/Defense are either greater than one another or at least the same number.
8) Link Trade! while holding an item
Ex) Rhydon > Rhypherior Link Trading Rhydon while it is holding "Protector"
9) Level up! during certain in-game conditions in the game outside of battle
Ex) Sliggoo > Goodra Level up Sliggoo in the game while it is Raining outside of battle.
10) Level up! with a certain Pokémon/Pokémon type in the party
Ex) Mantyke > Mantine Level up Mantyke into Mantine when you have a Remoraid in your party.
11) Level up! while messing with your 3DS in some way
Ex) Inkay > Malamar Turning your 3DS upside down as your Inkay Levels up
12) Level up! while using a certain in-game function
Ex) Eevee > Sylveon Have Eevee know a Fairy type Move then going to Pokémon Amie and have that Eevee get full affection points (the Hearts) in the app, then Leveling it up!
I know, at least one person has tried at least 2 of the said ways of evolution. As far as we all know 3, 4, 6, 9-12 are the main possible ways I can think are possible. There might an item or a move for that Pokémon that has been hidden from the normal gameplay where we can only get it through an Event. Though I can't help but wonder why a legendary Pokémon would have an Evolution? I guess I am just too used to seeing those Legendary Pokémon being a single, basic Pokémon.
These are my just my thoughts and I hope this isn't like as another commenter has stated earlier as what could be another "Mew" or "Mewtwo".
Oh Wow Solid Carbon... Solid Carbon is either Diamond or Graphite - and I doubt that the grey rock is Graphite - a lubricant. The rock would be any normal rock, like quartz, granite etc.

yeah they are related. Carbinks actually turn into Diancie, but not in game only just in one of its pokedex entries.
Maybe this is just another case of Kangaskhan/Marowak/Cubone; where Diancie was originally planned to be Carbink's evolution, but they decided to go against at the last minute.

Maybe Diancie used to be the evolution to Carbink, but it looked so good they decided to make it a legendary.
Maybe there will be an event that lets you take a normal/special Carbink to an area (like one of the locked power plants on Route 13) and it will get compressed/turned into a Diancie.

I am aware that this was made before the movie "Diancie and the cocoon of destruction" but enlight of the movie, I theorize that because Diancie is the princess of carbink, she would evolve from a carbink, but most likely a special type of carbink, reason being that is because if she did not evolve from a specific carbink, ANY carbink could be her.

I don't know about any of this, but I call the idea that they're gonna make a movie out of Diancie eventually. One of the criminal teams will kidnap it, try to force it to make diamonds, and the heros will save the day just in time (possibly with help from the other two leaked legendaries, and a carbink or two.)
Maybe they are related in the way Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan are (both Carbink and Diancie being related to a unknown pre-evo); then, in order for trainers to evolve the pre-evo into Diancie, they need special conditions (such as evolving in a determinate cave or something like that)

Maybe Carbink needs millions of years worth of happiness to evolve to Diancie, as a easter egg.
My theory is that you get a special item. (like an evolution stone) However it's the only one in the world so only one Carbink can become Diancie.
i dont think so cuz when u go to the kalos power plant there are three buildings that u cannot access maybe u can get a special event card that will allow u to open it and allow u to catch diancie hoopa and volcanion this is my theory thumbs up if u also believe this

When I got diancie two people came in asking for the diancie, they did mention that diancie was a geneticly modified carbink sort of making it a evolution.
They say that Diancie is a "sudden mutation" of a Carbink. Seems odd that they say that in that fashion since they came out with "sudden mutations" for berry farming.

My thoughts are that just like how Missingno. was supposed to be a baby Khangaskan evolution, I think Diancie was supposed to be an evolved form of Carbink, but in both cases, the developers didn't have enough time to make it like that or even scrap it, so they moved it to a different spot in the Pokedex. But I could be wrong.

The closer you get to Diancie (if its in a cave or something) the more Carbink will appear.
Maybe its just me but it looks alot more like a mega evolution that is being kept a secret for now and was given a number to make the pokemon community go nuts when they actually release it.
Most likely the developers planed Diancie as an evolution for Carbink but realized Carbink would be too hard to kill if it used eviolite. Since it would hit base 225 in defenses, with duel screens and rest it could be very hard to stop and lead to super slow matches. They probably just blocked the evolution off with programming.

Maybe Diancie was attended to be saved for carbink to have a new evolution in gen 7 but they decided to put it in there at the last minute (because of the lack of Pokemon) when there was no time to re arrange the Poke dex and make up an evolution method so they decide to just make it legendary and at the near end of the pokedex.
