This one may not a Land Rover make, but it's far more reliable than the Land Rover and the Audi All Road
It should say 2007 on. The flap that fold up in the boot - nope its not for storing stuff underneath. The entire floor lifts up on a gas strut and offers some storage underneath - although admittedly not that deep. The flap highlight in the boot it so help with loading. It can act as a divider. It has hooks on it to hand bags on. Or a very stretchy elastic band - which is the most useful part - it can be stretch around shopping bags to hold them in place - stop them rolling around in the boot.
I was fortunate enough to find a quite clean 2010 T6 AWD version for a fair price. It’s immensely practical and still, somehow, engaging and pleasant to drive.
I think new wheels and tires plus a few other minor goodies will make it absolutely perfect for me. The roads here can get a bit rough and some of my fishing and hunting excursions are not on paved roads, so this thing is markedly better than any sedan but still more than capable off-road. Love it.
I just renewed the tires on my 2015 XC70 with same tires I had on my 2005 XC70. Those tires are Michelin Defenders touring all season radials. They are the quietest driving tires I have ever owned. You will love driving your XC even more rolling on Michelin Defenders. ENJOY! 🚘

My AWD SE LUX is slightly newer than this example, very happy with it. Parked amongst modern SUVs it looks positively sleek. Steering feedback is often criticised but it does add to the comfort. Surprisingly it can tow more than a Discovery Sport too.

My 2008 SE Sport D5 AWD is currently achieving 33mpg on runs of upto 45miles.
I’m sure it will be better on the motorway at a steady speed.
It’s not run in yet as it only has 19,000 verified miles.

Given the cost of an average new car, repair costs on Volvos leave the owner with an option to replace, repair and know you have a far better car than any average car full stop. If it isn't obvious, you won't have to pay dealers commission, purchasing fees, sales taxes or any of the extra costs of buying a new average car. Seriously, 45,000 dollars for an average new car buys a lot of replacements and repairs on a Volvo.

The best thing about a Volvo is the one thing you hope to never have to use - it's crash safety.
