Lol I Was Thinking Now Talk About His Momma CVVCLIPS Bro.
Now His Momma Should Induct Him Into The Hall Of Fame Jk Lol.
@@TimLoyalToWifeHaterFreeZoneA Lmao 😂
Thea Vidale was so much fun as Shelton's momma. A legit funny actress and stand up comic.
Sheltun Benjamin 😂
This was a gut punch.
I remember watching Thea Vidale on VHS when Tim Allen and Chris Rock was up and coming.
I remember the segments briefly of her and Shelton.
NEVER DID I COMPUTE UNTIL TODAY THAT WAS HER!
She had her own sitcom on ABC. Singer Brandy Norwood played her daughter.
Right I used to watch that & when I saw her as Shelton's momma I knew exactly who that was.
ABC did Thea dirty, her show was amazing and deserved to last longer.
Hell yeah it did
The segment with Val Venus and momma was hilarious
Too bad we never got the Mama Cornette/Bagwell/Benjamin triple threat match
His mama was the reason why he turned heel lol
Momma Benjamin was so funny 😂
This story is bigger than Cody’s. FINISH THE STORY!!!
This reigns even harder now given how it seems like thats never ending too
They did to Shelton Benjamin's momma what they did to Kofi Kingston's accent! Took it away out of the blue! 😭😭
Shelton Benjamin willing to sacrifice his wrestling career to protect his momma. What a guy.
As a kid, I recognized Thea immediately from other tv shows and it took me out of the story cause I knew she wasn't really his mom
Right I used to watch her show when Brandy played her daughter when I saw her as Shelton's momma I was like that's Thea.
Damn only 8 weeks
She was on New Year’s Revolution and Royal Rumble in 06 in hilarious backstage segments
The mama's boy gimmick would have made it in this modern era.
"Shelton Benjamin you may not realize this but you're an African American" lol
*Confused Shelton looks at his skin for confirmation*
That's insane
Do u realize that all words are made up so is color
Yeah, the equivalent of John Cena saying the same thing with Booker T. I always hated that some stereotypical b******* right there
@@flyguy7825public opinion doesn't matter as long as Vince thinks it's funny
Okay I was shocked hearing the story never finished because I think my child mind filled in the blanks. Because I remembered that no one ever hit mama and at most grabbed her arms but I thought to write her off they had someone attack her and that caused Shelton to fight back with the person for months. And the reason she never returned was it now was clear that it wasn't safe for her. But knowing WWE yeah I can see them changing the story a week after and just ignoring it.
I think it would have been a good starting storyline for a new call-up. But considering the heights Benjamin had already reached in his career, it was undoubtedly a step down.
After seeing the Nickelodeon show, Victorious, I think the person who played Andre Grandma should have played Shelton’s Mother. It would have been hilarious
😂😂😂😂
Wait it was 8 weeks??? Woah! I honestly didn’t remember that
Of Course it was Vince idea 😑
Vince probably watched a campbell’s soup commercial
I know it was to look bad I know it's silly but I loved the Mama Benjamin thing. Like man you get to have mom rally your fans and cheer for you
I think ol Shelty B would beat some serious ass if anybody legit pissed him off
shelton was in the NCAA, he's legit, plus he's friends with Brock Lesnar so yeah lol nobody messes with Shelton
Vince saw Big Mommas House one weekend and thought it was funny. That’s how. lol. I even remember Eugene calling her that.
Considering some of the truly awful stories that are allowed to come to a conclusion (not just WWE, mind you), it's unfortunate that Shelton and his Momma ended just like that. Granted, there are other factors to consider, so such an abrupt end to the angle is understandable.
Shelton was the original cody and brodus clay
I'm with Shelton. The momma storyline does get a bad rap. I rather enjoyed it. Yes, he wasn't going to reach the main event with it but it could have eventually led to being a pretty over babyface where they could ease his momma off TV while he ascended to higher on the card. It just didn't work out for whatever reason.
that was my favorite version of Shelton Benjamin
I don’t remember much but I loved Momma Benjamin 😂
I didn’t realize who she was at the time, her standup is savage🤣
Crazy how that whole mama’s boy angle only lasted 2 months…
I remember popping for Thea when I saw her because I loved her TV show!
Thea is still around, it'd be cool if they brought back Mama Benjamin one more time.
Wait a sec.....that angle ONLY lasted eight weeks? It sure as heck felt like it was longer than that!
We want mama back
Y’all know Shelton goin go home after this n his momma goin whip his ass “Son Damnitt I coulda been a WWE DIVA! I gave birth to ya ass and ya wouldn’t let me come to work with you!!” Shelton def gettin grounded now 😅😂
What's weird is they seemingly cut the finish and proceeded to make him what the result was gonna be anyway! That PrimeTime Deion Sanders bit could've worked had they finished. He said he was going to get his manhood back basically and stand on his own 2 feet. Well that can smoothly transition into him going overboard the opposite of mama's boy and being *overconfident*
The only Shelton storyline I ever gave 2 shits about. It was hilarious
it was so memorable part of the RA era
One of the funniest times 😂man I loved it
Early reports say Shelton was given a momma as punishment for showing disrespect to one of WWE’s veteran road agents.
Was it silly? Of course!!! But it was funny and it gave Shelton a mouth piece. From a character standpoint, he was a mamas boy but was able to bring it when it came to wrestling. Wish they didn’t drop the storyline.
I think they personally did him dirty with the whole mama. Gimmick because you could just kind of tell something about it just wasn't working and I know the actress he was talking about. She was a good comedian but all in all it just didn't fit him. But I agree they didn't finish that story but it just was. How should I put this stereotypical black mother and that just wasn't going to get him over. They should have just putting with a nice sexy valet
Yea him and Thea were great !
That gimmick was really funny
It was good times
I remember it not lasting long but I thought it was longer than 8 weeks lol.
My friends and I used to compare Shelton Benjamin's momma to The Undertaker's Urn.
No black guy turns on his mama lol
Thea is his mom??? Whaaaat?? So cool!! ❤
Storyline
@@tankenbrian Oh! The way he worded, I totally misunderstood. Ha! Thanks for clarifying. 😄
I would've guessed it was Vince Mcmahons idea....
I would like the Minnesota wrecking crew to win the tag belts before both guys retire. Shelton has been one of the most wasted talents in wrestling history.
Mama Mia here we go again is great🎉
I always thought it was inspired by the movie Big Momma's House. I think Eugene made a joke about it.
I thought it was fun at the time, but there's no question it would've eventually devolved into something really really stupid - like Mae Young stupid.
Or worse - incest storyline.
Ohhh so that was Thea!? Damn lol
Deon Sanders basically was a black Shawn Michaels. So they wanted him to be a black Shawn Michaels.

I Did not like the mammy character. Shelton was too talented to play a comedy role
Racist af.....
Wonder why his Momma was fired…🤔
This was an odd storyline and I didn’t get it.
Yeah, because It was Vince's idea.
@@DuskJoker Vince had some great ideas but also some horrible ones that should be forgotten lol
I hated that run
Yeah wow it felt like it lasted way longer than 8 weeks
I remember when she gave Carlito a shot in the butt during a match
Of course that was all Vince that man just doesn’t know where to draw the line so out of touch
Of course you ignore the part where Shelton said he loved the storyline and had fun doing it.
God bless Shelton, but for a pro wrestler, he's a very bland speaker.
the biggest reason i think he didnt get pushed better. he just wasnt great on the mic
The segment with Val Venus and momma was hilarious
