I wont be upgrading from 5 pro solely on the battery life. I love that i can charge it up on friday and go away for the weekend and not need to worry about bringing my charger
Same here, I love that I can go an easy 3 days before I need to charge it again. That's what's stopping me from possibly ordering one even though I like the rotating bezel that I miss when I had the 4 Classic.

I'm gonna make the switch from 5 pro based on the heart monitor thing. I don't mind slapping it on the charger for a few hours while lounging at home / showers , I over charge my 5 pro now to begin with

Definitely not going to "downgrade" from my GW5 Pro LTE to 6 Classic. I consider the 5 Pro still as Samsungs flagship model.
Premium materials, more features and better battery. With the upcoming One UI 5 update it'll have all the features 6 classic.
The **only** thing tempting me is the rotating bezel of the 6 Classic. I think the battery life of the 5 Pro will win the internal argument, though. :)
Yea I feel going from the 5 Pro to the 6 or 6 Classic you will take a huge hit on battery life and material.

The battery life is my only problem with my GW4 CLASSIC. The battery life of the GW6 doesn't seem to be enough of an improvement to make the switch in my opinion. If they gave the battery life of the 5 pro combined with the rotating bezel, it would be well worth the switch then.
That's what I'm saying...the 5 Pro battery is the truth YOU HEAR ME lol. But that's the "Truth Behind the Curtains" thing I was talking about. Oh but you are gonna wanna watch my next video I'm working on with this watch.
Exactly, that was the biggest drawback for me was the battery of the 4 classic. I upgraded from the classic for to the 5 pro, I was going to pre-order this new watch until I looked at the battery life on it and then I decide to change my mind.
If they optimized the software, hopefully, the slight battery increase would be useful.
If you want good metrics along with stellar battery life get a Garmin Marq Series watch. They are expensive but their metrics are unmatched and the battery life is up to 15 days or 6 days with AOD.
@@TheMadmax0609 can they act as a stand alone phone? I bought my GW4 LTE because I wanted to be able to exercise without carrying a bulky phone but still be able to receive (or make) important phone calls and texts. I’ve only seen Apple and Samsung watches with that available feature. But if someone else offers it, I’ll be very interested.

Gonna wait for a watch with a rotating bezel and route tracking. Still rocking my Gear S3 Frontier...which IMHO is better looking than than the 6Classic and 5Pro.
Excellent treatment of a very complex spec and feature comparison. You really hit on the key subtilities needed to make an intellegent choice. Battery life and weight are such big factors. Considering the fast charge capability, that I didn't even know about, has me leaning towards the 6 classic 43mm. With the heart monitor background feature, I feel comfortable leaving my fitbit sense and it's monthly premium subscription behind. 👍👍👍 Love your video!

This was my thinking too. Finally able to drop buying both a smart watch and a Fitbit. I do hope the GPS will be addressed though as that is a major feature as well.
Really helpful video. I have the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic and I agree the battery life could be better, but it doesn't bother me since I charge it every night. I don't think I will be upgrading to the new Galaxy Watch 6 yet. I am not convinced yet that I really need it.
Although the battery life from the GW5 is less than GW6's, I think the biggest player would be the microchip, as they tend to be more efficient whenever new products are released. Then again, I wonder how efficient in comparison.

I'll be giving the 6 classic a try. My concern is the battery life. I hope I can get at least 2 days on a single charge. If not, I'll be sticking with my 5 pro
I'm currently still on my Gear S3. Ordered the Watch 6 due to some new features such as heart monitor but also, i just couldn't see myself paying 300+ for watch 5 without having all features in the Samsung universe.......

Gona be trading in my Frontier for the 6. This watch has been faithfull to me since prob 2016 /17 lol but its definitely time for an upgrade
Still have my GWS3 frontier just changed my battery maintaining waterproof I'll never stop loving this watch. I traded my GW4 for the 6.
The only thing that matters is the software to battery usage.. If it's Watch 4 it's a skip for sure.. I'm stuck on my W4 Classic for an ideal upgrade
I don't see any good reason for upgrading from my watch 4 classic to the watch 6 classic mainly because Samsung didn't offer good discounts in the UK as they did, & always do, in the USA.
Not only the USA has discounts. I orderd my 6 classic 47mm with a extra free band + 1 year free care for 314 euro's (I live in the netherlands)
Here's a hack...get a US mailbox here so you can buy the product and pay our pricing using a VPN and get a forwarder to ship from that US mailbox to your home overseas.
I've got the GW4 classic apart from the battery life i don't think it's worth upgrading. Remember placing the watch on the cradle at night doesn't hurt and there's still 50-60% left.
I'm only upgrading because the offer with trade-in, reserve discount, Samsung rewards and other discounts made it less than $150. I am questionable about the battery downgrade and the fact GPS tracking is not present. I use the 5 Pro with Strava for running. The 5 Pro was horrible for swimming only recording every other lap. I hope the Classic 6 fixes that, but highly doubt it. If this has any issues when I receive it after a couple days of use I'll return it and stick with my 5 Pro.

Since my fisrt purchase of Samsung's S3 to my current Watch 5 Pro, the need for screen protection has been the straw that has broke the camel's back after spending the likes of $1000 (after trade-in rebate of course) for the latest phone, watch at $150, cases at $50, s pen at $50 , charger at $100, tablets $1500, and whatever else there is to purchase is just too much!
The 5 Pro Grey Titanium is fine for me. Paid for & paired to my S22 Ultra w/ my Tab S7+. I'm a happy Duck 🤟

Yeah I decide to keep my 5 pro, just off the battery life alone. To me it's not worth the upgrade for a smaller battery.

I appreciate that the video takes info and lays it out, but it's all information that we've been finding by doing some digging online. So it does help us with that. Can we get all 3 watches on screen as you tell us how you've done with each of them?
i would lower the music in the transition things. its nice hearing you talk about something but then the music is like super loud compared to everything else in the video and i either gotta skip it so i dont get blasted by a big bass in my ear or take my headphones out lol.

I can to watch this video simply because my Watch 3 Classic won't turn on. I can charge it with a wireless charger and see the battery percentage increase but I just won't power on smh. I think I'll go ahead and look into the Watch 6 Classic as my next watch.
Seems to me the 6 classic (being almost identical to the 4 classic), is the successor of the 4 classic and NOT the 5 pro.
I mean, the 5 pro has a far superior battery, GPS features the 6 doesn't have and far superior build.
More likely the 7 will be the 5 pro's successor.
Think of it like 4 classic, 4 classic 2.0 (6 classic), then 5 pro.
Also, the 5 pro and 4 classic will get ALL software features including irregular heart rate on the next update.

Don't need a screen protector in my opinion, I've had samsung smart watches for last 4 models and wore normal watches for 30 years prior, never I had a watch break with the exception of the band. And the glass sits down below the bezel,
I had the 4I upgraded to the 5 pro. Now I can't go back to a smaller battery. Plus I really don't miss the rotating bezel.

I just upgraded to the 5 pro from a Gear S3 Frontier I loved that watch and been through a lot but I messed the bezel up and there is no updates for it and it pains me to get rid of it and the writing on the wall..... wish my bezel still worked. So far the difference is crazy to me the weight and screen is like going from a 720p to a 4K screen with more features or more efficient features my Gear S3 has but I wish there was a bezel on this 5 pro I'm literally staring at it like this crown like ridge could of been a big rotating bezel 😤

Personally I like the rotating bezel. So I upgraded to the GW6 Classic is because of the discount and free deals. I do wished the they made the battery big like on the GW5 Pro. But they're paying me $125 for my Older Samsung Galaxy Watch (that had a rotating bezel) and I get a free watch band, and a 10000mah battery pack. All out the door for $306...all while I get to keep my GW4 Classic that I still love. 😢
I ain't mad at that...the rotating bezel is definitely goated for sure. So it makes sense why people will be going back to that look from the 5 Pro. I feel like you can dress it up to look like a regular watch better than the 5 Pro. So I get it.

Going to watch 6 from 4 classic, rotating bezel not that important to me. I have the 5pro and watch 5 as well, so i just wanted to update my oldest samsung watch
I’m trading in my watch 5 pro for the 47mm BT watch 6 classic it was 115 bucks with the trade and 50 credit. So I ain’t mad at that as long as the watch gets around 2 days then I’m good. I typically put it on the charger at the end of the night anyway and I don’t use sleep tracking. I like it more in the looks department as well and it will have a decent battery with a bright sharper display and slightly larger display. Great video and thanks again.
I have been hands on with the Watch 6s at T-Mobile, and the screen size upgrade doesn't seem like much, but holy shit, it is. You skipped over the bezels being smaller and giving even more screen use too. The brightness is also amazing. The speed bump is noticeable on apps I use and screen flips. If you have a 5 Pro, I would say wait because of that battery. If you have a 4 or older, upgrade if you can get a good deal. I got 44mm Watch 6 preordered for 160 bucks and the 47mm Classic for 206. Going to do a 24 hour wear on each and return the one I like the least. I usually wait 2 or 3 generations and upgrade. I have a 4 Classic and definitely worth the upgrade for me.
It blows my mind that people think about weight with a watch or a phone. I went from galaxy watch 4 classic and note 20 ultra to z fold 4 and just got the galaxy watch 6 classic. If the weight is that much of a deal go find an iPhone 2 and get yourself a gshock

I'm returning my W6 Classic. Yes the screen is nicer the W4C, but thats it. It has the same amount of lag, same sensors etc. Its definitely a slight improvement, but a £250 improvement after trade in? Not at all.
I'm upgrading from the Xiaomi Mi Band 5 to the Watch 6 Classic 47mm. Huge upgrade, just not in battery life (2 weeks easy, lol)...

Trust me ir not but my watch 4 classic 46mm bt is still holding 3 days on full battery. I don't have anything of the features turned on because I don't need them and it's not on battery saver. Tho on work days I do put it on watch only mode for 5 hours so it's like 15hours from those 72 hours that it's on watch only mode but still love it to this day, but since it was a good offer got myself 6 classic which will arrive next week hopefully.
I ordered the Classic 6 LTE in 47mm because it was only 229 bucks after swapping my Fold 3 for a Fold 5 (combo deal). I do have a Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, and it's fine but I don't even use it that much. 90% of the time I'm wearing a Garmin, the few times I wear the 5 Pro for convenience of having an LTE watch, the battery life is still terrible. The Watch classic just looks a bit better, the rotating bezel is nice. At 200 bucks, for any type of watch, that's disposable territory. I'd never buy one at full retail.

Why is the Watch 5 Pro, which is a Pro model, part of this classic model discussion? Isn't Samsung separating the Pro model from the Classic model?
The conversation about battery life on smart watches is dumb at this point. Most people throw there watch on the charger each day and if they need more time on the battery just turn ur phone over and charge ur watch.
I have both Watch 4 classic and Watch 5 Pro, battery is much better in Watch 5 pro

I have the GW4 Classic and the battery life is awful. It doesn't even make it 23 hours before needing a charge. My Galaxy Watch from 2019 & GW3 Frontier gives me 2-3 days. Very disappointed that the GW6 Classic has such a small battery. I just know that when I get the GW6 Classic on 8/11 that I'll be returning it.

483 👍 Samsung is keeping the bigger battery and gps map tracking for the pro watches only. They will be bringing back watch 7 pro next year and skipping the classic.

Galaxy Watch 6 Classic is a downgrade from the 5 pro in my opinion . No GPX Files, smaler Battery and its havier. I have bought the 5 pro on the Samsung Hompage with 30 % Members Rabatt last Week about 204 € and i'm very happy with it. I don' t undesatand why people buy the Watch 6 Classic
