Knicks played a ton of games this postseason . 3 straight 7game series . Just came up 1 game short. But still was a magical season for the 93-94 new york Knicks. This performance by Ewing in game 7 of east conf finals was just legendary .
I always loved when Ewing, Mason, or Oakley would have to go console/calm down Starks and the camera would zoom in on it. Big brother/little brother. Showed how together that team was and how they did whatever it took to win. They didnt have the greatest TALENT, but to me this was the greatest basketball TEAM the league has ever seen.
He was absolutely appreciated. Unfortunately he had a few too many chokes and shitty games in crucial moments that would piss us off. So at times it was a love/hate relationship. Especially when he ever matched up against Shaq. Shaq came into the league and abused Ewing. Made us fans be jealous we didnt have Shaq instead!
Ewing a true warrior. only if we had THAT Ewing on the 99 team that had Spree, LJ, Houston, Cambyman....then we woulda beaten the Spurs Twin Towers of David RObinson and the Fresh young Timmy Duncan.
I'm not a Knicks fan but I do find it disappointing that they had a chance to draft spreewell in the Early 90's when Starks, Ewing, Oakley and all the rest were still fresh, Spreewell could very well have been the final piece to the puzzle the Knicks needed to win a title, it certainly would have given them an edge in the 1994 NBA finals.
when pat hugged the fake jerry lewis at the 7:03 mark i remember that live and it felt so good to see Patrick that emotional. All the joy he brought the millions and (rock pause) millions of his fans. he deserved that and he def deserved a title.
Ewing one of the best knick player ever .. They should win that year but starks sold out missing all his shots ever since ewing left knicks never beem same again
Unselfish and aggressive play. Not many three pointers. Pass until you get the best available shot. A snippet of how Pat Riley made his mark on this team.
The Pacers usually matched up well with them, even if they got out the East they would've been fatigued playing the Rockets who had an athletic frontline.
As a 41 year old Jordan and Bulls fan, I have to say you don't love the game of basketball if you disrespect the greatness of Ewing and his Knicks! They ALWAYS played hard and deserved our respect. They've earned it.
Knicks so deserved a title that year. I loved that team!!
Yeap but they had NO answer 4 Hakeem Olajuwon lol😂😂
Sure did!
@@csallen Wqqwqqwwwwwwww
Nobody deserves a title, you have to earn it
Only if Game 7 of the Finals was in New York
Harper wasnt a Knick for long but he was a great Knick. Very underrated.

Considering the stakes, this might've been the best game of Ewing's career.
yoenm65 huge game clutch performance
Garden was off the hook! Spring time when the Knicks had Ewing were the best! Never was appreciated until he was gone.

Don't forget the rangers as well boy it was a good year in new York

Eric Chun Could have been the first 8th seed to win the title
Or if we had Spree, LJ, Camby, and Houston in 1994
@@clamp202 That team with 1994 Ewing is a no. 1 seed.
Eric Chun
Agree No Doubt👍

This was as tough a place as it gets to come in and win a basketball game.
A mean, together team in the Knicks backed by insane fans. What a time
Someone should upload this game in it's entirety
Good ol days . That squad will always have my heart

That guy was a celebrity can't remember who..
7:23 This right here is incredible. What a moment
Why would you or someone cut the last 26 seconds. The Knicks defense music and crowd is the best part of this!
yuppie free msg...so great
Ewing one of the best knick player ever ..
They should win that year but starks sold out missing all his shots ever since ewing left knicks never beem same again
This game was like the NBA Finals for Ewing
The way a big man should play. These PF and C today should take note
Patrick Ewing's biggest achievement in the NBA.Scoring the winning basket and getting his team to the Finals..
Knicks FOR ever
One the greatest games in Knicks history!
7:04 That man got more than he bargained for lol
Had to be the greatest moment of his life as a sports fan right there. That doesn't happen often.
That makes me laugh and brings a tear. Spring of '94 was amazing. NYR and NYK.
@@haywoodjablome6645 same here
Ewing was a beast in the early to mid 90s
Get well soon, Pat.
whole game please
happy birthday
Derek Harper may have won finals MVP had the Knicks won that year.
Did you see the guy on the Pacers bench wearing the white t-shirt and hat put his head down after Pat dunked the ball in at 6:26 Lol, Classic!
6:20 REMEMBER.
Great series Pippen almost led the Bulls to the Finals. Should have won MVP
Over Hakeem? Hakeem really should have had it from 1993-1995

2023 current 1st round Knicks tickets (nose bleed) $497...def not worth it. But I would pay to see this Knick team any day.
The bulls would've destroyed everyone this year. The hawks led by danny manning were number one in the east. That murder ruined so much. SMH.
The Pacers usually matched up well with them, even if they got out the East they would've been fatigued playing the Rockets who had an athletic frontline.
That knicks team should have been world champion that year but not thanks to pat Riley trusting John starks
One year later, Eastern Semifinals Game 7, Ewing CHOKES! Ridiculous finger roll and misses! One of the 50 greatest my behind!
vccstudents fuck you
@@prisonmike1139 I second that!!!
Your fucking nuts..he made big plays his entire career he was fucked up in 95
Your right he's not a top 50player ever,he's probably more a top 30player ever . Dnt ever disrespect the legendary warrior that is Patrick Ewing.
